Hi!

We are travelling to the Sequoia Lodge with our family for the first trip in April. This is so exciting!!

However, upon browsing these threads (which are great by the way!) I can't really find any information about all those bits and pieces I would usually pick up in "a wee shop" at any other destination!!

You know the kind of thing, tea, milk, biscuits, crisps! All those healthy necessities!!:goodvibes

So could anyone fill me in -- just what can I get at (or near) the Sequoia, what should I pack and what should I do without?!!

With the Euro as it is I really don't want to travel to an outlet store or anything... don't want to waste park time window shopping.

Thank you so much!

Good little shop in the train station just by disney village

If you walk to the Santa Fe hotel, keep walking through the grounds until you come to the entrance. There is a garage there which sells stuff at near-normal prices - unlike everywhere else in Disney! About 10 minute walk from Sequoia Lodge.

I also vote for the bigger of the 2 shops at the train station.

Not sure you'd get decent tea bags anywhere though. The ones we bought at the big hypermarket in summer were weak weak weak.:sad2:

We will probably take our own tea bags as we dont go anywhere without our tetley tea bags:rotfl2:

I would, the only ones we could get in the rain station Casino were Liptons and some Peppermint green tea. We managed without opening the Liptons, and they have been sat in the kitchen cupboard since we came home! :rotfl2:

take paracetamol or similar ,,,i needed them on our hols a couple weeks ago and NO WHERE sold them!!

Ooooh good point, I forgot that. If you need any sort of OTC medicine you have to go to Val d'Europe, so make sure to take your own.

Thats a common thing in France. I remember having excrutiating toothache a few years ago in France and needed some more pain killers as Id run out and couldnt get them in any supermarket like you can here. I was told I had to go to a chemist for them.

I recall we were visiting the south of France some years back and DH wanted some 'Andrews' or similar. We went to a chemist and they gave him a piece of card with a series on questions on it. He ended up buying some kind of indigestion remedy, which he was then reluctant to take, as he didn't know hat he was taking!

Since then we have always packed 'Andrews' whenever we have travelled together. I always pack paracetamol, Ibuprofen and anything else I think might be needed!

I pack a huge medicine kit! Luckily not needed it yet but I couldnt risk not having everything i might need.

Thank you all so much for the tips. I think a list is in order! The shops near Sante Fe and in train station sound really handy. Not too far to be a journey! Thanks again.

Oh Torsie I'm glad I'm not the only one :thumbsup2 I always think that the cleaners must think I'm a real hyperchondriac (sp) but I'd hate to waste time searching for something as simple as a paracetamol.

Although I understand that there are well stocked medical centres onsite in both parks should anyone need them.
