I know there is a whole sub-forum on Disney weddings, but I spend all my time in the DVC section, so I'm posting here 8-)

Our older daughter just got her confirmation for the their first choice date and location for their wedding next year!

The Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom at the god awful time of 5:30AM. I've already got my spreadsheet setup with dates and the contracts I need to use to booking the necessary days at 11 months & 7 months starting early next month!

Congratulations!

It will be beautiful, and I hope the excitement wakes everyone up to fully enjoy it!

Congratulations! It will be absolutely incredible 🐅💐

The only kind of negative (if you want to call it that) is that we now have three weddings we will be travelling for next year, which completely kills the idea of a first trip/stay at VDH in 2024. Instead our first usage of these points will be at AKV and we will have to wait until 2025 to plan our first VDH stay.

Sacrifices must be made :P

Attended a wedding in that exact spot about 18 months ago, it was like something out of a dream. It was very early but really cool to be in the park while it's still dark in the am. There was a violinist playing Disney music.

The reception was held in an outdoor area at AK, the food was excellent and Donald & Daisy were in attendance.

Then the guests were all escorted on to a VIP ride at the Safari. This was unquestionably the most fun wedding I've ever attended.

Congratulations! DS is getting engaged soon and hoping for a Disney wedding for them too. Both are huge WDW & DVC fans.

It's going to be wonderful. My son and future daughter-in-law are getting married at the Wedding Pavilion in April. I was right where you are in May of this year - figuring out what I needed to get at 11 months and 7 months. (BWV at 11 months - reception is there; GF at 7 months for the bride and groom.) DVC made things a lot easier and a little less expensive. LOL

Have quickly hit the point where we are in the final countdown (2 days) to start booking nights for the wedding.

It will be in four stages using four different contracts. Two different AKV UY contracts for the bulk of the stay, VGF to get a studio for two nights for them after the wedding and then we have to wait until the 7 month window to book the remaining AKV night with our VDH points.

Best of luck to you! May the DVC odds be in your favor.
