A Very Merry Extended Family Christmas in Disney-2008...HELP?!

Is the POP a good resort for 13 of us to spend Christmas together at?

My mom and dad
My Three Sisters-17, 22, 25
My Sister's Husband
My Nephew-2
My Aunt and Uncle
My Cousins-16, 19
My Nana
and myself

Does anyone have a better recommendation? We really want this to be a magical time as it will be our first Christmas in Disney and my nephew's very first trip.

We did a Magical Gathering with a group of 16 at POP in Aug. 2004, and it was fine. All of our rooms were right in a line next to each other since we had a Grand Gathering number. That being said, if you want a resort just to sleep and keep your stuff, it's great. If you want a resort decked out for the holidays, I would keep looking. They have a few decorations (from what I remember of our Dec. trip there for my dd's birthday), but not many. There was a tree in the lobby and a few lights, but other than that I don't remember much else. The moderates tend to do a little more, with the deluxe resorts going all out. If those aren't in the budget for everyone, you can always visit them to see the decorations or have dinner there. I hope you all have a wonderful visit!

I think Pop Century is a great place for a group that has members from all age groups. Because everyone will see something that they saw, did, or owned. Everytime my husband and I stay there, even just the two of us, we find something else that starts a conversation about "I remember.....". The icons are great (lots of today's kids don't know what an 8-track tape is), the walkway at the lake has an event that happened in each year from 1950-1999. You can have each person find a significant year in their lives (birth, marriage, whatever) and photograph them with "their" sign. And you can spend hours as a family in the lobby looking at all the stuff in the shadowboxes.

Pop Century is just a great place for a multi-generational family. Or even just a husband and a wife.
