A Very Lurkyloo Christmas is FINISHED! New 3/16: Last Day of the Trip!

Yeah for great deal on your plane tickets. I think you are flying cheaper from Cali than we are from TN. :cool1:

Carrie -

That is a fabulous price on plane tickets! Wow - good going! Now get those plans on, girl! :santa:

 Hooray!

Today all the stars aligned: Delta's ticket price was back down and my transfer of Starwood points to Delta rewards came though, and I was able to buy two plane tickets for less than $200! :yay:

Gulp... I guess I *have* to start planning now! :scared: ADRs and MVMCP and Candlelight Processional and Osbourne Lights and ginormous gingerbread houses - oh MY!

$200 for two tickets from California?! Holy crap, that's AMAZING. To think that I thought our $130 round trip tickets from NJ were good. :guilty:

Glad to hear you got the tickets and hopefully you don't have to make any changes to them.

I'm holding our on MVMCP---can't decide if it'll be worth it yet or not. Let us know what you decide! :santa:

I think she only got those fares because she used rewards points for most of it ;) Even within California, flying Southwest, it can be $100+ each way :rotfl:

Congratualtions! It's wonderful that everything worked out! Have fun planning!! :goodvibes

Thanks! It'll be an adventure! pirate:

Yay!!:banana: Dates! We need dates!!

Congrats Carrie!!! That is an awesome price too!! :dance3:

I agree with Jen what are those dates??

Whoops! I knew I'd forgotten something in my excitement. We're flying out on Dec. 8 and returning on Dec. 16, the day before the $$$ holiday rates kick in at the hotels! :cutie:

What a great price on the tickets!!! Now the "real" planning can start!!! ;)

Carrie, that is awesome!! I love getting good deals on plane tickets.

Yes, perhaps I should have elaborated more - I can't take credit for such a great deal because I used miles. Well, the fares were only $230 + tax each for a non-stop flight (let's see... that was $269 with tax), which is pretty dang good compared to the almost $400/ticket we paid last time. But I used miles to pay for all of mine and take $100 off Patrick's, so that's how we ended up spending less than $200. :thumbsup2

look..this is me!! Posting on your Pre-Trippie!!! Lookie!!

Awww, 12/8 is our tentative wedding date for next year! Sure you don't want to push your date back 12 months so you can "crash" another DFTW?? :flower3: :rotfl:

I see you! :magnify:
:rotfl:

oh good..cause I thought you forgot me!

Tisk tisk Carrie---you should know better! The holiday rates start December 18th. I know this, because we are leaving on the 18th in order to avoid any holiday rate room charges :santa: You could have extended your trip for one more very cheap night. Might have to re-book those flights after all. ;)

Sharon, that cake is amazing! It is SO cute! I love all the little animal couples, and the colors are fantastic. How did it taste? What flavors did you get?

The first 2 tiers were vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling.
The last tier was devil's food cake with vanilla buttercream filling.
Both favors were delicious and so moist.
A friend of my niece's make it.
I loved that animal pairs.

That is terrific. It doesn't matter how you got the great fares just that you are getting there without busting the bank!

My Bill and your Patrick would get along well. Bill has a Muppets Disney Pin addiction. It all started at Everything Pop (he only trades with CM's). He is in a power wheelchair so he is eye level with the pins. A CM working there looking like Paris Hilton, seriously looked just like her had a Fozzie hidden Mickey pin. Bill asked to look at her pins and we said we would like the Fozzie pin. She had NO clue who he was . I said "you haven't seen the Muppets?" She was dumbfounded. Well I wanted Bill to run her over right then and there but felt I should be "Disney like" so I told her she needed to go see Muppets 3D and inform herself. The youth of this country has gone completely stupid :sad2:.

I have spent the last week reading all the lurkyloo and Mr. lurkyloo adventures. I am one of those people that feel they should share, so I have been turning my laptop toward my lovely significant other Bill and saying "ooohh look at this Roots picture, look at Carrie in her dress, OMG Patrick acting like he is throwing up is high-larious(saying it that way got me a WTH look)" etc. Then I got the "huh" look, a shake of the head, and the "do you know these people?" question. Silly man, do I "know them" ah well NO, but I have been "stalking" your TR's for 4 days now and laughing uncontrollably. I am so happy you are going back to WDW.

Now for comments about past reports:

Making that wish at Big Thunder Mountain: AMAZING

The wedding and you in that dress: STUNNING

Picking the Roots for your pictures: GENIUS

Patrick's dancing video: VERY ENTERTAINING

Buying that black hat at Epcot: FATE (you look fantastic in it)

Seeing you and Jensey going by on the friendship boat in Lori's wedding video: TOO FUNNY

Taking all these wedding, dessert party, and cake options pictures: VERY HELPFUL

Getting those cute, quirky souveniors for Patrick on your solo trip: HEART WARMING

You two really seem like the perfect match, so fun loving, funny, and caring to one another. Thank you so much for sharing your trips with us and showing us those terrific pictures by the Roots, I can't get enough of those. Your writing style is wonderful, I loved the descriptions of the water fountains, I learned so much including not to get the warm water at Morocco.

The pictures from your 4th of July weekend were great!! I loved the moon shots.

Congrats on getting the plane tickets!! I always feel better after I get that part of the trip taken care of.

I am looking forward to all of your adventures.

MrsKSomeday: That cake is ahhhhh-ma-zing! My DH2B also go nuts for that! He's another one that looooooooves the Muppets! :lovestruc (for my liking, it's missing one essential character....Bean Bunny! :goodvibes )

His birthday is tomorrow, I wish I had enough time to take those pics to a bakery to have it re-created for him! :wizard:

That Muppets cake is Amazing!!

P.S. if you need new contacts so do I because I haven't seen that cake before.

Carrie -congrats on getting the airfares! So you will be there for Dis-A-palooza afterall!;)

However, even your $400 ticket from your last trip sounds like a great deal to me...our airfares from Canada can frequently be double that!:sad2:

Can't wait to hear more as all the final details come together!

And great Muppets cake BTW! Why that was on CakeWreks is beyond me. :confused3 It's amazing! Carrie, you will have to get that duplicated for Patrick!:goodvibes
