I just received an email from AirTran advertising for a discount cruise company:
Subject line: From $159 – Carnival Cabin Closeout Sale – How fast can you pack!
And the ad is a photo of a Carnival Cabin with the words
DISTRESSED CABIN CLOSEOUT SALE!
You would think that someone in charge of this type of thing would have thought "you know, today may not be the best time to advertise this sale" or "Perhaps we should change the wording of this ad before we send it out today"
It is even funnier to me because I have been GLUED to the live feed coverage of the Splendor today, and also following it very closely the last few days, and been on other message boards to discuss it. I even took my laptop into the kitchen to do dishes and make lunch so I wouldn't miss anything!
You would think someone might have thought of some better wording!
