A very different look at the Magic Kingdom

Good Morning Everyone: I wrote up a blog on the private party I was able to attend at the Magic Kingdom for Pow Wow. To say it was over the top was an understatement. We also had a sneak peek of the Main Street Electrical Parade floats too. Check it out and let me know what you think.

To be honest, it was nothing that we had not heard already. Mark was involved in some of the remodeling of Castaway Cay for Disney Cruise Line, and he was also heavily involved in moving Pooh's tree to "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh." The one thing we talked a lot about was the new waterslide addition to Castaway Cay - "Pelican Plunge." He was very excited when I mentioned it because he said, "I'm the one that came up with that name."

Sounds and looks like an amazing party. We were there that weekend and had to plan around that early MK closing - to some annoyance - but at least you were there to report on it for us so I don't feel so bad now.

No, not really. The party was for the International Travel Industry. Us, hard core, theme park fans already knew everything the Imagineers were sharing.

Me too! It's a surprise trip for my dh for his Father's day present - as you can see from my sig, he is a "dark side" fanatic. I'm busting from not telling him! I've made an autograph book for him I hope he'll like to open on father's day. I can't believe George Lucas is going to be there - I hope we will get to see him!

OMG, I just noticed you are from Rochester - that's where my dh is from! We live in the capital region now. Are you staying at POFQ for the star wars convention? I can't believe what a good deal it was.
