A Very Belated 21st Birthday to Me! PTR May 12-19th 2015 - Updated 5/11

Wow, amazing plans!! Congrats on getting through all those exams!! Your plans look amazing!! I have a couple questions for you - you are way more of a Disney expert...just wondering...does Spaceship Earth really need a FP+? That was one of those things I thought was always short lines or walk on even? But maybe now with FP+ that has changed? I'm just wondering if we will need to use a FP+ for that when we go...and also I would have thought that Nemo WOULD need a FP+? Your first MK day is very ambitious but well planned out so I'm sure it's feasible!!!

For Spaceship Earth I've just read that since it's the first ride most people who won't want to go to Soarin' will hit, you may want a FP for it. Also, since it is tiered at EPCOT for FP+, there was nothing I really wanted to do for a second tier other than Spaceship Earth. So even if we may not need it, we aren't wasting it.

As for Nemo, we plan to head straight there. Last year, we were there at rope drop, went straight to the seas, no one was on before us. We then walked around the aquarium for awhile that you get let out into, and we were probably all by ourselves for 20 minutes. I guess its kind of like the Spaceship Earth thing, but I just decided to not get a FP for it since I know it's the first thing we are going to do, and we are going to try and arrive by rope drop. Large masses of people head for Soarin'. Literally. It's crazy. :earseek:

And I am nowhere near a disney expert, but thanks for the flattery! :-):P

Well that makes a lot of sense - ie: if you aren't doing Soarin' at RD...I guess the reason to do Soarin' first is that is the only way to get to do it more than once...but if you have an FP+ for it, then no real other reason to race over there. Gotcha. And so then makes sense to hit Nemo first...I may do something like that then and be sure to get SE on our way out of Epcot or something...I guess with FP+ you can plan around going at a certain time. And you ARE a Disney expert in comparison ot me lol.

Wow awesome plans! Your days are so organized and you managed to pack a lot it!
Grats on finishing finals!!!! :jumping1:

Now you can go into 100% Disney mode!! :cheer2:

Please don't let my toe be broken.... Late Night Update

So today was a pretty good day! I got to my salon to finally get my haircut and get my highlights redone (I haven't had my haircut since December...) However, while I was there, I stubbed my toe pretty badly. It's swollen and bruised and we're just hoping its not broken :(

It doesn't hurt too bad to walk on, only if I use the balls of my feet and my toes separate does it hurt. We bought medical tape today to tape it to my other toe. If it hurts badly tomorrow, I will probably end up going into my doctor's office on Monday. I live in a small town, and I actually see a PA, not the doctor so I should be able to get an appointment.

Other than that, my mom and I went out for an early mother's day lunch to a local restaurant. And I started some packing!

You can't see him in this picture, but next to the mint/navy bathing suit my big fat cat decided it was the perfect place to sleep (we have 4 cats). He's gonna love it when I open up my suitcase. He loves that suitcase. :cat:

I will probably finish sorting out all the clothes tonight and maybe watch a disney movie. Last night I watched Mulan! Tomorrow I'll end up packing all my stuff.

3 more days to go! Well, a little less because it's so late. :mickeyjum

So sorry about your toe! The good news is it's probably not broken (no doctor here but I did that about 2 years ago and was fine in a few days). Bad news if it is broken Im not sure they can do much for you...... Not a doctor just what I've heard...

3 days!!! :bounce::cool1: So jealous can wait to hear all about it!!! Have an amazing trip!!

The toe isn't necessarily looking better this morning, but it doesn't hurt to walk on! Just hoping it doesn't hurt in my running shoes. I accidentally stubbed it AGAIN this morning on our pantry door :faint:

DTD Plans!

So before posting about my packing progress, I thought I'd give everyone our DTD plans! Since our plane arrives in MCO around 1pm, and we are hoping to be at the hotel by 2pm, I'm thinking that we will get to DTD by 3:30pm. We will then head straight for Cookes of Dublin! I'm really excited to try this restaurant. And their beef and lamb pie looks so good!

After lunch we will start to make our way through DTD to the Market Place. Our store stops include the Lego Store (Kenny really likes the Lego Architecture series), World of Disney Store, Basin, and Market Co-op. Then, we will stop at Dockside Margaritas! I really like Margaritas, so I was happy to see that they opened back up in April! After enjoying our (or at least my Margarita, Kenny has been cleaned to drink a little bit, but I'm not sure how much he'll actually drink since he isn't a big drinker to begin with), we will go to the Mickey's Pantry, and then to Goofy's Candy Company. We did the make your own treats last year, and had a great conversation with the lady who made them. I wish we would have gotten her name, or at least remembered it. She told us all about her grandson and how he loves the Lego Architecture series, because she saw Kenny had gotten one in his lego bag.

We will probably be done with DTD by 6pm, I'm thinking on the day we were to go to HS that after dinner that night we might return so I probably will just breeze through some of the shops. I would also recommend the Tea and Spice Exchange, however, I can always go to the one in Georgetown in DC, so we might skip it this year. We will then probably do a late dinner at The Mara around 9pm.

On another note: Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there! My mom loved her presents, which was a handmade (not by me, but I ordered it off of Etsy) wooden carrier for plants, or it could be used as a planter. She's a big gardener. Also, a Millersville t-shirt, since I've never gotten her one.

Great plans for DTD! I LOVE the Lego Architecture series too...they have some really neat stuff. Some of them are quite a challenge though...my DS (12) likes them too but sometimes he needs help getting them figured out. I definitely have Goofy's Candy Co' on my list as well....haven't tried the make your own treats yet...so it's a must do.

No, the purple bruising has gone down. Its still swollen with a deep red and only hurts when I go up stars. So, I'm gonna wing it!

I really enjoyed DTD. I'm a big shopper, though. I've never been to the boardwalk, so thats one a list for our next visit! ::yes::

1 Day Left!

So in about 12 hours I'll be waking up to get to the airport! We got our boarding numbers last night since we are flying Southwest and paid for EBCI. We are A29 and A30.

I am *almost* finished packing, just need to through my hair dryer and straightener in my luggage. And in a little over 2 hours I'll start my drive down to MD!

We did have an amazing time! Thanks :)

We're Back!

We landed in BWI around 3:15pm today, and are currently downloading photos back at Kenny's house. I'll be driving back home around 7pm.

I will be doing a full TR~! :rainbow:

I'm thinking I'll start a new thread for it though, however, I will post the link once I get it up. Which will probably be Thursday - because I am in some serious need of sleep... no real break days wasn't my greatest idea :rotfl:.

We did have a great time, the heat got to us by Monday. And I have to say while we really did like AKL, when we had dinner at the GF I fell in love. Definitely planning our next vacation there... hopefully talking my mom into it being a Christmas/Birthday/Graduation present (I mean I will be graduating in 4 years instead of 5 like they said I would...) ;)
