One thing I immediately miss when getting home the next day is the disney count down show on the television. Man! Totally miss it.

Ok-
So we decided to leave a day early so we wouldn't have to scramble to our Cape May breakfast the next day. We got on the road around 1:30ish, DH offered to drive(I try my hardest to go the speed limit, and hate driving which leads to constant belly aching on my part, while he prefers to just get there already:rolleyes1) So we're about 30 minutes away from the Disney World exit on the Florida turnpike, I look at the "clock", hubby thinks I'm checking his speed(I thought I was being slick about it, evidently not) and I get this response "Do you want me to pull over so you can drive? Or are you going to let me drive?" I just looked away out of my window and ignored it. LITERALLY 3 minutes later, we go around a bend and a fabulous state trooper is waiting for someone to come speeding by. Hubby tried to slam on the brakes but we all know that never works, once you're toast , just accept it! Hubby starts apologizing:thumbsup2, I got my personal victory, but it was bittersweet as when I had glanced at the "clock" 3 minutes prior, I did see how fast he was going which meant this was going to be a BIG ticket. Hubby had his wallet in his suitcase which was in the trunk, and when the tooper saw our luggage he asked where we were going, DH told him "Disney World actually" laughed and then got back in the car as we waited for our ticket that was going to be about as much as our hotel stay for the week. :scared1: One minute later, the trooper comes up, and hands us.... a warning!!!:woohoo:we thanked him profusely, and he says to my husband " Just slow down, you'll get there!" as if my husband was speeding b/c he was eager to get to Disney faster hehehe! Needless to say hubby went pretty close to the speed limit the rest of the way there :)

POP HEAVEN

I was so excited about getting to stay at POP, it's my favorite of the values. I had requested, ground floor, near the Big Wheel in 70s. I was so eager to see if my request had been granted. Let me just show you the view from just outside the door of my room...

Awesome! For those of you wondering, I was in room 0101. I will always try to get this room again, it is a close to the big wheel you can get for a standard room, and it was a super short walk to and from the main building & buses.

We then decided to take little one swimming, he had a really good time, he wanted to go in the Pop Jets first.

We got cleaned up and headed to DTD, we weren't there long, it was super crowded, we just walked through Goofy's candy co, and DH & DS went on the carousel. We then walked backed to the bus area, and waited for a 2nd bus to come, we always wait for the next bus if there isn't sitting room on the 1st one. The bus situation at DTD was a mess, there was no walking room to get to and from the buses, a few of the family's also felt like they needed to stand length wise across the sidewalks as opposed to standing in a line for the buses. Maybe someone who does this can explain this to me, if you're at WDW with your family of 6 at the parks, buses, etc, why do you walk down the walkways 6 across instead of , I don't know - 2, 2, and 2 or even 3 & 3 behind each other? Do you really need to force me to wedge my stroller through your group when I'm walking in the opposite direction?? It's just odd to me I suppose. :goodvibes

Later that night we got food at the food court using our TIW card, (hubby had an Earl of sandwhich roast beef left over from the turnpike pit stop we made. I got Veggie Lo Mein, divvies cookies, Applejuice, smart water, Adult chicken nuggets with fries, carrots and celery, yogurt with granola.
Total came to- $22.51 with the $5.52 TIW saved us (I used that card for every trip to the food court I could, even if I was only getting a package of cookies, If you pay for it, you should use it)

Tomorrow's report-

An adventure getting to Cape May & and I meet a Goddess at Ohana.

Ok so Sunday the 12th we decided to take the bus to DHS and then the boat to Beach Club for Cape May. I had posted a few months ago about possibly walking to Beach Club from DHS, and I'm so glad most people suggested taking the boat b/c it was hotter than hot outside! The boat was a fun adventure!

We met up with my BFF Lala for Breakfast,
Once we were seated a chef came out, he told me I could have the potatoes, fruit, and that he would make me some vegan waffles. ( I really was hungry so I dug into these before I took a pic)The waffles were gluten free and AMAZING! I drowned the last 2 in strawberries with syrup. And oh yeah, they're shaped like Mickey so how can you beat it? Everyone loved their food, The vegan, the vegetarian, the world's pickiest eater, and the meat eater, all agreed we'd love to do it again!

The characters came around at least 3 times each and towards the end of breakfast(our ADR was for 10:45) they may as well have pulled up chairs!:rotfl:
Here is little one dancing with Goofy-

Cape May Total- $77.36
TIW saved us- $14.99

It was a great breakfast, and we will definitely do it again when we go up for our resort and restaurant stay!
Up next- Ohana Dinner & the Potato Heads!

After breakfast/brunch/lunch at Cape May we needed a nap(we kinda pigged out!) So we took naps in our room that felt like we were in a deep freezer, and then woke up and got ready for our Ohana Dinner(bus then monorail = about one hour travel time, but sooo much fun!)

First we wanted to take DS to see the Potato Heads. About 2 years ago he formed an addiction to a blue potato head arm, he brought it everywhere with us, he slept with it, if he woke up at 3 am and it wasn't in his hand he would cry and freak out until he found it hidden in his sheets. Thankfully he left it at Grandma's house on accident one day and had to go a few days without it, so it broke the obessiveness over it. I knew he would still be super excited to see the HUGE potato heads.

Next Post- The best, most sastifying vegan meal I've ever had since becoming vegan 12 years ago made possible by this amazing woman-
veganchefjulie.jpg

This dinner was amazing. our server was Joe, he was AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! My cup was always filled right away and he was perfect! Always asked us if we needed more of anything, brought us hot towels for DH hands after his "messy" food. Chef Julie & her crew made my meal awesome. She said they now have a system in place for who makes what dish/dishes for people with special dietary needs.
DH had the typical Ohana meal(sorry didn't really take a lot of pics of his food- and again sorry for half eaten plates) & DS had- Chicken Nuggets & fries
ohanaalexwingspotstickers.jpg

bestcalebohana.jpg

Chef Julie & crew made me - salad with Oil & vinegar(no pic),
I can have the noodles & veggies as is
veganohana2.jpg

I was brought a plate of red pepper hummus & baba ganoush with pita chips(to dieeeee for, sooo yummy!)
veganohana1.jpg

sweet & sour tofu(this was a HUGE HUGE portions and I ate about 80% of it, when Chef Julie came around to see how my meal was going said jokingly"oh, I can tell you didn't REALLY like that" DH had taken a small serving and tried to take more and I politely told him to back off my tofu:rotfl:)
veganohana3.jpg

And dessert(which was awesome!)
veganohana4.jpg

This meal was amazing! I can't wait to go back, I could've eaten those noodles every night we were there!

UP next- Our first park day at Epcot & DHS! And my son becomes a "MAN"

Everything looks great! I don't know why I'm hungry???
Can't imagine why :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Thanks for commenting & reading!

I really should've waited to put these pictures up until AFTER I got back from Whole Foods getting DH B-day cake, b/c now I'm going to spend a ton of money b/c looking at the pictures made me crazy hungry!
