Yesterday my truck caught fire and made flames 25 feet high.
Or it would have if it was not under the carport. But I geuss it
really did make fire that high by the time it started to burn thru the
roof. Which is about the time I started to hear a siren off in the
distance.

Now I have a really interesting burnt timber style ceiling. And wet
sheetrock on the floor. And like gothic black walls. Not to mention a
new doorway where a wall was. But I did not have a extra door laying
around, so we put plywood up. The same for the windows that turned to
small pieces of glass. And the carport end looks like it might fall
down.

When a car goes up, it makes a REALLY BIG FIRE. And you dont want that
in the garage. A even bigger fire when a 16 foot long piece of
fiberglass with 12 gallons of gas on its on is three feet away. I
never knew fiberglass would burn so well.

So that makes 25 gallons of gas, four big tire plus a spare. Two
little tires and a little spare. 400 pounds of fiberglass. Seat
cushion foam, plastic, leather. All these are things you dont want to
be on fire at the same time under your house.

But if that does happen. Duck if you plan to open the door four feet
from the front bumper. That funny orange glow that made the window
crack is called fire. And when you open that door, its coming in right
over your head. So shut the door fast. But that does not really
matter. That window will be gone in about 10 seconds. And the fire
will be on your dining room ceiling then. And tire smoke is black and
thick. In five seconds you wont be able to see a foot. So yell " here
kitty" with your last breath and go out the back door. If you have one
breath of that smoke you might go down. So say by kitty and leave.

Now I'm homeless, boatless and carless. But not insuranceless. So I'll
do okay. And I know why they say cats have nine lives. This one used
eight. The window shades melted three feet from where the cat hunkered
down. The cat was white, now its dark grey and a little weirded out.
You would not have been able to see a inch in there. But the firemen
put a big fan up first thing that blew smoke away from the kitty. So
aside from some black snot, the kitty seems okay. When they let me in
30 minutes later, I thought the cat was dead when I saw it behing a
chair. The firemen where amazed.

And I'm 39 years old and living with my mommy. Maybe three months to
fix, if they dont bulldoze it. Looking for a rental. Hoping Allstate
has a check for a car fast. Trying to wash the smell out of my
clothes. And my wallet was in the truck.

Your watching TV, 30 seconds later you cant see the remote in your
hand. So check your smoke detectors. And talk to the kids. It can
happen very fast.

PS. The eight year old next door saw sombody stop in the road, put
something ( cup of gas?) in the window of the truck. Light paper on
fire, and put it on my seat. And they know who he was. He was mad at
the people next door. He got the wrong house. He is still free. They
are working on enough evidence. And I know who he is now too. My Cop
friend told me. The fire investigator would not.

HOLY CRAPPOLA!!!! I am so sorry sweetie! Thank goodness for insurance I will pray you come out with something 10x better! :grouphug: I hope they catch the poc that did that. :sad2:
