A trip to WDW w/NO kids? Hubba Hubba! Wink Wink! UPDATE: EXTRA, EXTRA!!! Pg 158

Congrats on the even cheaper airfare! Did ya get it yet???:hyper::hyper::hyper:

Not yet. Oh y'all will know the SECOND after I book. I will be here jumping up and down announcing it as if I'd just won the lottery! I'd like to book it today. I'll definitely book by tomorrow. I sure wish my Mom and sister could fly with us...I told her yesterday about the great prices. They just need to figure out what they are going to do. I'd like to say just have Linda (my mom's friend) drugged and put on a plane to Orlando. :lmao:

The only thing I can't understand is, why are the flights from FWB so much more expensive than the flights from N.O. ?

That's what I ran into checking for flights, too. The cheapest I could find out of Pittsburgh was $300 + taxes and fees for a round trip. I looked a little more and found flights out of Dulles, VA for $54 each way. Its a little further for me to drive to get there, but I ended up spending a LOT less for the tickets.

wow that is awesome! How long is the flight from there to Orlando?

It's supposed to leave the airport at 11:32 a.m. and get to Orlando at 1:48 p.m. On the way home, we have a layover in Atlanta.:headache:

Are you in the same time zone? (sorry, I kinda suck at time zones)

We did the layover thing in Atlanta last year, too. I was determined not to do that this year. And it looks like we won't! :thumbsup2

I have really bad ears though...I had tubes when I was a baby, and my ears have NEVER been "right". I can't go to the bottom of a 4 foot pool without them hurting. I can handle a plane as long as I have lots of gum, and my earplanes. But going up, back down, and up again all in one day, that KILLED me. The same thing happened when we came home from Hawaii, and Disney last year. I was in so much pain I just sat there and cried. My ears wouldn't pop the 2nd time. And they stay that way for like a week afterwards.

*shudder*

Yes, I'm in the same time zone.

That sucks that you have problems like that. I had the whole ears won't pop thing going on after we landed in Baltimore last year. But we have so many hills around here that I managed to get them popped about a day after I was home. It kind of worries me this year, because the last time I flew, it was before I had all this fluid controlling hardware in me. Now I'm afraid that its going to really affect me this time and I'll be in a lot of pain. I guess we'll have to see how it goes.

oh...hills are...non-existant around here. There is one toward New Orleans and it's the highest point in the area---it's a park and it's called Monkey Hill.

I would think it wouldn't effect your ears :confused3 I hope you won't be in pain. At least you have a direct flight GOING there. That's the most important thing (was for me, too, but I'm glad to be able to get a direct flight coming AND going this time)

I was doing some research on it, and I'm really not supposed to fly or ride roller coasters. There's one thing I would never give up. Here's what I found one person had said about her experiences with flying...

"Flying - I do not fly often and again my neurosurgeon said sure it will be no problem. I have noticed it is not comfortable for me. I often have a headache for days afterwards. Also I find the more stops I have the worse it is...so I wonder if it is the take off and landing pressure changes that are the problem."

Did you just find that? So, are you still gonna fly?

Did you have a headache last time? What's different now with your body..etc. I really hope it is not uncomfortable for you

Great update!!!

I have not been on BTMR in years... I think I might take Huey on it this year...give it a whirl:rotfl:

No, I've known about that for a long time. I'll still fly regardless. I just hope I don't regret it.

No, it really didn't affect me last January when I flew. I did notice in September while riding the ToT it caused a lot of pain when they dropped us. Not that it stopped me from riding it or anything. It was temporary, so as soon as we were on the ground the pain went away. But since then, I got this shunt attached to my brain, and I'm thinking that was the worst mistake. It doesn't seem to help much, other than with my vision. The pain is still there, and it gets unbearable sometimes. Maybe I'll just get to load up on the painkillers before I go.

Hey Cherbear,

I am officially hopping on your PTR! I found you via Lesley's, and you make me laugh so much over there, I just knew I had to join over here too!! I love finding people through other PTR/TRs--I find so many people on mine that have hopped from others too! I have lots of catching up to do! Jen

Hi MegansMom! Welcome to my report. I think I am really confusing everyone since I was gone for a few months (our computer went kaput). This is still my ongoing TR from last September's trip...that I'm trying very hard to finish! Soon I will start a PTR for this year's trip. I've included a couple of things about my upcoming trip since I don't have a PTR, but I'm trying to keep that stuff to a minimum so as not to stray from my old TR and to not confuse people any more than I already have.

I'm glad you've joined and I hope my links are helpful in catching up! :thumbsup2
