:rotfl: :rotfl: haha woopsy.

:yay: :yay: for a day off!! have fun DISin'! :thumbsup2

My goodness..you sure all ran amok over here...I go out for like 3 hours and I have 6 pages to read and I see that I am losing my spot near the top..Not liking that at all...Have to hurry and catch up:cool1:

ut oh

That's what I was just thinking! There's like 6 more pages than last time I checked in! I'm on the bottom of the list though.:sad1:

aww..don't be sad. You're still just as important to me!

All Star Sports with my hubby and 2 of my kids. We can't wait!!

I think you might have told me that you were staying there, too. Maybe we will see each other! What time are you arriving? What day do you depart? We are staying until the 21st.

I'm on the western side of the state near Pittsburgh, but still next door.;)

It's our first time at ASSports. I'm a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews about it. I would much rather have had Music or POP. But my son loves sports, so hopefully it won't be too bad. Actually, the thing I'm most worried about is the drive down - small car - 2 kids in the backseat - my husband fighting me over the cd player. I would much rather fly, but that just wasn't an option this time. I did the 24 hour bus trip with the high school band years ago, but I'm not looking forward to being the one doing the driving this time.:scared: To tell you the truth, I'm more concerned with my husband misbehaving than my kids.

I have family in Philadelphia....and some of them are going to Disney at the same time as me....

I will tell you the one PLUS about Sports. We will be the first bus stop! (out of all 3 All Stars) I actually had heard more positives on Sports than Music in the past. But I've stayed at Music and I never had any problems. We also happen to be easy-going people, so little things don't bother us. We are just fine with staying at a "cheap" hotel---and even Disney's "cheap" hotels are nice compared to many out there. I'd much rather be on Disney property than anywhere else.

If we had kids, we'd probably be driving, too. We're flying this year b/c since it's just me and Mike it actually works out to be cheaper. If we were driving, I wouldn't want to put the miles on my car so we'd end up renting, then factoring in the gas money, and stopping at a hotel for the night--it's cheaper to fly---AND we won't waste any "could-be-disney-time" travelling in a car.
I do hope your drive goes smoothly though! Bring lots of entertainment items!

Aww..thanks!!:goodvibes

We're leaving PA on the 14th and should be getting there late morning on the 15th. After that (I hope) its straight to the MK. Its a first day tradition for us. And we have ADRs for LTT that evening. Not sure what time at the moment since my organizational skills are severely lacking and I'm not sure what I did with my paperwork that has my confirmation #s and times on it. I better find that soon...

We leave to go back home:sad1: on the 22nd. Hopefully a full week in Disney will satisfy me for awhile, but I doubt it.

Thanks for the info on Sports. I'm feeling a little better about it. Just the things I've heard about it being the oldest of the all stars so its more run down than the others. That really doesn't bother me all that much. As long as I don't run into any mold or bugs its all good.

I've got the entertainment items in place for the kids - coloring books, homework, dvds...but what to do for the husband:confused: Unless we can bring Jim Beam in the car with us, I don't think he'll be happy.

I agree with you on the All Star Sports. I've stayed there a couple times and it's never been a bad resort. Just because it's older doesn't mean it's dingy. Disney always does everything they can to surpass the off property hotels.

SHHHhhhhhhh....he'll hear you!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just call up disney dining.....407-wdw-dine and they can pull up the list of all your dining ressies....using your confirmatino number on your paperwork...:thumbsup2

Yes, thank god you did not marry that DEVIL ....Such a shame he has never been and is getting up there in age....Maybe plan a big shinding for him when he is 18.....he is an adult then and his father should not be able to stop him from going with you on another Disney Trip:cool1:

yea just call and get your confirmation #'s to write them down again.

You'll be there one more day than me! We arrive on the 15th and leave the 21st. But I'll bet we will see each other at some point. I mean we are staying at the same resort arriving on the same day, so I am sure we'll have a lot of chances.

Well Disney is ALWAYS renovating SOMETHING, and renovations have been going on all summer for the All Star Sports. When you get there, ask if you can be placed in one of the rooms that has already gone through refurbishment. They will usually honor your request if you ask nicely. We are staying in a preferred room, and I think those buildings were the first to be worked on. So hopefully we will have a refurbished room!

Oh goodness! Your DH is a drinker? Just bring some good music, and label a couple of bottled waters "Jim Beam" to make him laugh.

Yeah...we usually get along pretty well except for that one HUGE problem. He doesn't consider it a problem, but I really don't think its necessary for a 32YO man to go out EVERY night of EVERY weekend with the specific intention of getting completely wasted out of his mind. I'm no angel and have been there many times, but I can honestly say I have not "partied til I puked" since I was in college. Anyway, I don't wanna bore ya'll with my sob stories...

As for good music, his taste in music and mine are completely different. Everybody always asks me why am I with him - it doesn't seem like we have anything in common.:confused3 I'm the rocker chick that goes to Ozzfest every year, doesn't mind being inadvertently thrown into a pit (I've never intentionally entered one - I don't think), have the skull tats, piercings, all that good stuff. He's more the yee haw let's do the drunk dance to this song about beer goggles, don't come near me with that tattoo needle, I wanna drive an 18-wheeler kinda guy. We're complete opposites. You'd think I'd be the wild one, but I'm not. I'd much prefer a Friday night at home with the kids than a night at the local VFW singing karaoke country tunes...

So I see us fighting in the car on the way there.

I also have them saved in my itineraries on disneyworld.com. Haven't been able to get that to work for a couple of days, though.

Unfortunately, I think my son is turning out to be just like his father. I still love him and I'm there for him no matter what, just that he's got some psychological issues, not that I'm knocking anyone with bipolar disorder or chemical imbalances or anything like that. I don't want to offend anyone. Obviously, since my son has these issues, I realize its something that a person can't help. I dealt with these with his dad, along with the whole "anger management" thing, which, in his case, I think was just a cop-out. It just sucks that he had to pass it down a generation and now I kind of have to tiptoe around my son just to keep the younger kids protected from him. Hopefully one day, for his sake, I'll be able to get him the help he needs, and I'll be able to take him, too.

wow! well I pray it all works out in the end. I know all about bi-polar and such...I have some family members that have it. When they take their meds, they are ok. But it certainly does some strange things to people.

Well I'm headed home now, and a little concerned with Hurricane Dean, but nonetheless I'm gonna have a good time tonight. I actually plan on getting tipsy....:rotfl:

We have an event in my town called "Hot August Night" where Downtown becomes very lively at night. There's booths set up for wine tasting, and you walk all around into the shops (that normally close early)....my favorite is a shoe store called "Obsession" ---so Leger I'll be thinking of you when I am there!!! They have some very sexy shoes...and usually have great sales during Hot August Night. Most of the shoes there are narrow, for some reason, so it's hard to find ones that fit my wide feet. But we shall see! (I think it's a good thing because I would want to buy the whole store if they all fit me!)

I plan on being downtown for 7, so I have to go home and get ready. (I am getting all dolled up for this one! And I don't want to rush myself) I might hop on the DIS to see what's going on before I leave. And maybe I'll do a DIS version of "drunk dialing" tonight :rotfl2: Wouldn't that be fun?

Oops, sorry cherbear. Didn't mean to hijack your thread and let ya'll in on my life story.:lmao:

Have fun tonight!:cool1:

Girl, sometimes you just gotta let it out! It's fine. :) And I hope y'all don't argue in the car...or on the trip....just keep thinking happy thoughts!

Thanks! I will even have a drink for you...and everyone else! :rotfl:

 Yeah, I know...I'm here again....but I'm goin to get ready now!

Made a call to disney dining on the way home and still nothing for dinner at Le Cellier on the 18th. As I draw closer it looks like we're going to end up keeping our lunch ressie--but that's ok, too.

cy'all lata!

That is a shame, but like you said, it is not your son's fault. I hope you can get him the help he needs as he gets older.....

I am quite good friends on here with another DISer who is Bipoplar....She talks about it freely and a a very open person...So I can kind of understand what you might be going thru
