thanks! tryin to...
Please don't feel bad for not being around. I'm just glad you stopped by!
I had a choice of oatmeal or grits, but I knew it would be easier to eat 6 oz of grits than 6 oz of oatmeal. Oatmeal is just so sticky going down.
I think you're interpreting that wrong(it's not going across the internet waves properly)...when they said it must be my problem, they meant literally that---the slow stomach is what is wrong with me. The male tech that was there was also there for my HIDA so he knew I'd been struggling with this for a while and getting tests with no results.
Does that make more sense now? They were nice techs.
Apparently the 477 minutes is for HALF the meal to digest. I learned that thanks to Allen who is an expert in the matter.(thanks again!)
And yes, it's pretty painful. Food doesn't even taste good to me like it used to. I like the weight loss, but I would really rather be able to eat normally again. I'm too weak all the time---but, I did buy some One a Day vitamins tonight so hopefully that will help!
thanks SO much for your support and encouragement!

Good dealWell I'm trying to get my life back to some reasonable pace again ...we'll see how it goes
Ahhh, gotcha. Good call on choosing the grits over the oatmeal then, it is much stickier stuff.
Oh good, I'm glad I heard that wrong. I was trying to figure out how they could be so callous I'm very happy to hear that they were nice![]()
Only half??? Yikes! And there are much better ways to diet than being in pain and losing your taste for the foods you love. At least the vitamins should give you some energy back while they work things out for you and get you all fixed up![]()
You're very welcome - glad to be here with your other DISbuds cheering you on ...
*grumbles that they've moved the cheerleader smilie*
ahhh, there we go!![]()

LOL, they do have some funky ones, don't they? I lucked out and got a "build your own travel website for free one" on this page. Who knows what the next dice roll will bring!![]()
The vitamins seem to be helping. I've had a bit more energy than before. Good thing, because tomorrow I have a 6 yr old birthday party to attend. There will be swimming involved....I think if my cousin swims, I will too! (It's her son's b-day) It is SO hot here already!
I'm SO grateful for all of you cheering me on. I wish I had heard from the doctor already, but unfortunately nothing yet. I'm hoping they can see me before Friday. I hoped that Friday would be a day Mike and I could celebrate my birthday together since he works on my birthday.
Not to mention, I'd like to have some sort of answer by then--maybe even some meds so that I can eat something good on my birthday!
There are a few different ones at the bottom for me, got one about eating disorders. haha
Oh! And I wanted to tell you, a friend of mine had a great dane and they gave him his own chair when he was a pup. When he got bigger he would put his butt in it and put his front paws on the floor like a person LOL! Then once he got full grown they had to get rid of the chair and gave him his own couch which if anyone would sit on it hed just go claim his territory and lay right on top of them. LOL! So be prepared for Chance to believe he's as small as Merlin. I think that part of a great dane's personality is so great. It takes a family with a great sense of humor to really fit well with one and I think yall will be perfect for that little pup! He is one lucky guy!you must post growth pictures of him as he gets bigger!
Congrats again!!![]()

Hehehe, great story! We used to have "gladiator" dobermans, which were said to have been bred with danes. They were 90-110lb dogs - pretty big for dobies. My mom's dog was famous for walking up to you while you were sitting in the living room, turning around, and plopping his backside in your lap so you would scratch it. I can tell you it was certainly an unexpected shock for newcomers to the house![]()
Congratulations!!!
He is so cute and so pretty!!!!
I love his eyes!!!
I hope Merlin warms up to him![]()
Congratulations Cheri!! Puppies are so fun and I'm very happy for you and Mike!! I'm sure Merlin will warm up to him. It will just take some time! Great danes have such wonderful personalities. I know he will fit in your family so well. They are just huge babies for sure! Looks like he's already a daddies boy. I love his blue eyes. So cool that you got the last one too. Hope the training period is short and easy. Big dogs tend to be a little more stubborn than small dogs in that department lol!

Chance is a real cutie! I especially love the pictures of him laying on his back. He looks like he's posing for you!
Let us know how that 6 year old's birthday party went!
Glad the vitamins are helping and have fun at the b-day party. And if you don't have the energy to swim you can still kick back and float around on one of those air mattress things ...just be ready to get splashed by the kids
Hopefully you'll get in before Friday and can enjoy your the day off with Mike and have a good b-day![]()
Oh, eating disorders - that's not niceThe ads should only be for fun stuff darnit!
Oh cool! I'm glad you got Merlin a new playmate. Chance looks like a fitting name for him - great pics of him and Mike and Merlin.

Now that is hilarious! Our Giant Schnauzer is much like that. Although he is a little nicer about it and he'll just lay his head in your lap and nudge you until you pet him some how. Giant Schnauzer's are bred with Great Danes as well

thank you!
Mike says he has my eyes.![]()
Merlin is getting better. He already started umm..."showing his dominance" yesterday and I had to stop him. We had enough of that with Coal, and he will sure have a rude awakening when Chance gets bigger and will want to retaliate.![]()
I can't believe how good he was yesterday!
I could see that happening. I will probably get stuck many times on the couch or the love sac, so I'll have to make sure I always have the remote near when I sit down.![]()
I think he might need his own Love Sac. Merlin usually takes the little foot one. We don't need our big one taken from us too!
thanks! he is so cute, and SO big!
it was fun...Chance was there (and Merlin too of course) and he did not leave that carport. He laid around most of the day. I think the guy got it backwards when he said ours was the rambunctious one and the other one (was being purchased when we arrived) was the quiet one. The guy that snagged the "quiet one" must really have the rambunctious one. Wouldn't that be funny? They both did look alike, so you never know.
oh too bad ours are both boys!![]()
Glad to see that Merlin has another playmate. I'm sure once he gets used to Chance they will be best buddies.
haha...Poor Merlin is probably just put off now because of Chances size...I know Rusty is unsure of bigger dogs (and in our case our cats) at first because they are bigger than him. Plus whenever we are out and we see a big dog I tell him to be good because they could have him as a snack...But my baby is getting to be a heffer...he weighed 7 lbs at his last vets visit...
I told rusty that it is sad that our baby will most likely be born bigger than him...haha
I'll bet it will be different having a bigger dog...now that we have had a small dog...i'm not sure I can go back to a bigger dog...I like the fact that I can pick him up....definetly with a big dog I cannot do that.
showing his dominance. I know what that means. Maybe he needs a huge stuffed duck like the dog on "click"
![]()
yeah, you just might have to get him his own love sack....but put it close to you because otherwise He'll probably just say "screw this" and come lay on you anyways![]()
That's good that he seems to be very calm. That guy is in for a rude awakening if he did get the hyper oneoh well! No tradesies!!
Yeah, total bummer!!
very cute puppy, cant wait to see more pics of him.
i wonde rif he will pick up merlin in his mouth like a chew toy when he gets bigger.

he loved the crocs. He wore them after the party and the rest of the day. They fit him very well. The flip flops fit okay, he can grow into them a bit, but he said the thing in between the toes tickles him.![]()
I hope they are best buds! It will be SO cute with such a big dog and such a small dog. I just hope Merlin doesn't get stepped on! As it is, he gets underneath our feet sometimes and drives me nuts!
hahaha, yeah he needs one of those for sure!
Of course, it would have to be close.![]()
yeah, I picture it and laugh my butt off!
no tradesies..that made me laugh out loud, literally!
