Hi All!

The last time I went to Walt Disney World, it was a decade ago. I had just graduated High School, family members had passed, and my trip just kept getting longer. I traveled with my Mom and my brother, we took the train from Los Angeles to Chicago, Chicago to DC, and DC to Florida. It took 4 days, but was an experience. We stayed at Old Key West for about a week. We traveled back to Los Angeles via train, with a stop for a couple nights in NY instead of DC.

We have booked our trip with a few addition and subtractions over the last few months.

TRAVEL: It's 8 days of travel round trip. Going to Orlando, we're going to be leaving Los Angeles and going to Chicago, D.C. and eventually Orlando. How one many ask? Via the Train. Every time my mom and I have gone to Orlando it's been via train. The first time we ever went, we did Coach. We promptly made a note to ourselves that it wasn't going to happen again, just because it wasn't very comfortable. Which is why we also give mad props to those who travel the long distance in Coach.

Sleepers aren't very big, but they're comfortable. All of the sleeper car rooms have beds. The nicest, largest, roomiest, and more expensive one, is for space. My mom and I don't really plan on being in our room too much, other than to just sleep, so we're content getting the smaller rooms for this trip.

Food comes with the price of your train ticket. Some cars, depending on where you are going/coming from, have dining cars. A portion of our trip has a dining car, other legs have the food brought to our room. In all legs of the train, there is a cafe car in the lower portion of the train which allows you to buy snack foods and other things you may have forgotten at home or didn't want to purchase before you left your hotel.

Layovers for us, will be in Chicago and Washington D.C. going. Coming home we'll be in NY and Chicago. They have lounges for guests to hang out in while they wait for their train. The Washington D.C. train station is massive; it's essentially a mall with a train station tucked away. Chicago is and might be my favorite because it reminds me of my love for the movie, My Best Friend's Wedding. New York I vaguely remember to be honest, because the last time we were in New York we stayed the night in the city and didn't spend a whole lot of time in the train station.

My favorite part of the train trip is seeing the country in a unique way. Lots of pictures will be taken.
