A Trip Sure to be FULL of Surprises! Updates - day 1 & 2 w/ pics!

Hmmm... maybe there was a reason, other than financial, that your other Dr went out of business. :rolleyes1 I'm glad that you are finally going to see a Dermatologist. My DBIL is allergic to the sun and he's a construction worker. He gets those blisters on his ears! I hope that you have fun this weekend at Disney and that the cream you get will work! Do you have another Disney trip this year? (I can't remember)

Yeah I thought that too....my last couple of visits it was just him - no nurses or anything so it was a little weird.

This is a great thread with awesome pictures! Thanks for posting it and keeping it updated so well!

Thank you. I was doing a good job....

Hi Lynn!!! I got a postcard from Grace yesterday! :yay: She sent me one from Sea World and then she said she is sending me one from Disney. It was such a nice suprise.

How sweet!!

Hello! I've enjoyed reading your PT and TR so far! I love how you suprised even your husband! That had to be so hard to keep it such a secret!

The boys are adorable! I love how they pose for the pictures but mostly I love the pictures of them walking away holding hands. That is so adorable! I remember when my boys did that too... they are now walking and tripping one another and bumping into one another and stuff. :confused3

Thank you so much!

Hellooooo!!! Friend Lynn?????? Are you there? I would love to hear about the rest of your trip, but I'd really love to just hear that you're o.k.!!popcorn::

Hey! I am here and ok finally :goodvibes

I have been thinking the same thing!!! I hope your O.K. too.
Hi Lisa:goodvibes

Hey Grace!!

Hey Everyone! I'm so sorry for kind of disappearing! Life got in the way for a little bit so I had to deal with that. Let's see, it looks like October since I was last here....

Some of you know Dan and I have been having some "issues" but we're still working on them and hope 2010 will be a better year for our family. Some things need to be changed and we're working towards those changes so we'll see how that happens....

Corbin went on his first field trip at school and was THRILLED that they actually take you places while you're at school. He's been on three I think since then and loves them! It poured on his first one but that didn't stop the kids at all! The still had an awesome time. They went "around town" and visited different places - grocery store, fire station, ect. They were supposed to visit the post office but it was flooded due to the rain so that got cancelled.

The boys did Halloween which was fun for them. Carter finally "got it" and had a great time. Carter only wanted a sucker and got one at the first house so he was done. Corbin wanted as much candy as his bag could hold so he was tough to get in at the end of the night!

Carter turned three in November and it was a BUSY weekend the weekend of his party. We had his party on Saturday morning then got family pictures on Saturday afternoon then went to see Santa on Sunday.

Monday morning, Corbin and Carter were running through the house and Carter ran into the corner of the wall. After scooping him up and Corbin running off to hide, we realized he'd hit the wall pretty hard (it was one of those "thuds" that you just know isn't good when you hear it). Dan brought him to the fire station and the guys confirmed he needed to go to the ER so that's where they headed next. Carter came home with 8 stitches from the ER.

We had friends over to celebrate Christmas (Angie, Sandy and Samantha) and my birthday. Corbin had his "Winter Extravaganza" at school and stood in front of everyone with his hands covering his face the entire time! Just what Mommy wanted a picture of! :goodvibes

Dan's been working at a neighboring fire department on Saturdays to try and get some extra money while it's available. It gives him something to do, me some "quiet time" and extra money so it's a good gig for us right now! I've been crazy busy at work - we're working on our budget for our next fiscal year that starts in July and has to be turned in in Feb. Lots of time at the office and in Corbin's classroom when I can get there to help with the parties and stuff going on. I'm lucky to have a flexable job to get to most of that stuff which is so wonderful. Between Corbin's class, PTO, Auxiliary stuff (I got elected President again for another year!), work stuff and family stuff my days are full to say the least! I was pretty sick a couple of weeks ago and am starting to get sick again which isn't fun.

I know I'm missing oh so much but that's the basics. We're all trying to get ready for Christmas on Friday and Dan's family that's visiting next month. They'll be here for 10 days so I've got to get the house cleaned and start making plans for them to fill their days. We have Samantha's first birthday party in February so that will be fun. We're also starting to plan our trip to MI in July around my grandpa's 90th birthday party (that I guess I'm helping my mom throw) and my 10 year class reunion (that I might be helping plan??) and everything else we try to fit in while we're there. Angie, Sandy and Samantha are going to try and go with us this summer so that should be a fun trip with everyone. It will be nice to show them MI from our eyes - they've seen bits and pieces under snow when they were there to get Samantha.

It's always something at the Wiltse house and I'm sure it will continue to be that way for a VERY long time! :goodvibes

I wanted to stop in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope to be here so much more in 2010. We're hoping to take a trip in January 2011 but I'm secretly hoping we can go in December 2010 instead since it was so much fun at Christmas time.

Hey,
why did I find you on the very last page,
and the very lost post.
How are things going.

You didn't abandone your TR, did you?
The Jon and Kate thread, is non-existant.
I don't want to hear excuses, it the middle of winter,
and you cannot tell me, it is nice outside and you and the kids are outside playing all day.
Give us an update, please.

I just read your reply that you posted in Dec! Apparently I'm WAY behind too! It was good to catch up with your family. I hope things get worked out between you and Dan. Marriage can be tough. Love the pictures of your boys and family! Must be nice to go barefoot in December!
Hope to hear from you soon!

I think you jynxed us!! It's been cold the past couple of weeks here. Santa had to bring Corbin a "real" winter coat for Christmas! :scared1: I didn't abondon it - well I did for awhile but I'm back (I hope!). :goodvibes

Yeah the J&K thread's been so slow...I guess people only like the drama.

Thanks Lisa! Hope you guys had a great holiday and are working on planning your trip for this summer. I need to get back to your PTR soon and see how that's going.

Dan's family is here this week (got here last Wednesday and are leaving Friday) and our nanny's last day was last Friday so they've been kind enough to help us with watching Carter during the day while we're searching for someone new. We have a plan (day care for Carter and gymnastics for Corbin) but are hoping for someone to stay at the house. So Wednesday night I made dinner for everyone since they were just getting into town, Thursday night I made dinner because Corbin was supposed to have something at school but it got cancelled, Friday we had a big cook out at the house and the boys got a jumpy house (we got it on Thursday night actually so they were well worn out!) so the kids all had a great time. Saturday we had a big brunch and had cake for Samantha's first birthday next month then did a little shopping and Sunday we had brunch again and went to Savannah and Tybee for the afternoon. I'm not sure what's on the schedule for today/tonight. I'm working so it's a bit of a rest for me! :goodvibes Tomorrow Dan and his uncle are going fishing or getting oysters (whatever they have better luck with) and Wednesday they're golfing so they've got some fun stuff planned. I think I'm going to try and take Wednesday off and do something with the girls and Carter. I'm already off on Friday to watch Carter since the family's leaving. Dan's working the next three Saturdays so I'm going to need to recover from all of this running and doing at some point! :rolleyes1 I think the boys and I will be taking a big long nap on Saturday to recover! Hopefully it's a quiet weekend.

Dan's brother, nephew and mom are talking about coming down over spring break and his cousin and cousin's wife are talking about coming down over Forth of July so it looks like we'll have a steady steam of visitors for the next few months.

I'm hoping for a trip right after Thanksgiving - either a condo off site or at the Poly. Dan wants to stay at the Poly and if I'm going to spend the money, it might as well be decorated for Christmas! :rotfl: We're talking about going in January with Angie and Sandy again possibly so that should be fun.

Hopefully our tax return will be here soon and we can get a new computer for at home so I can update more often. I've been "avoiding" the DIS boards since we really don't have any plans to go back any time soon so it's kind of depressing to read about all of the great things. I'm trying to work it back into my day though. That and things have been so darned crazy that it's unreal! T-ball starts again this month so that adds more craziness to the schedule of our lives. I did find my calendar that I bought before Christmas and couldn't find until this weekend so I can be somewhat organized again which is good! :goodvibes

Ok I need to get some work done. I promise a "real" update soon!!
