A trip report??? Um, no. Well....alright, I'll give it a shot...

Boy, you sure are demanding.

I like it!!! ;) :rotfl2:

It's on it's way. I was rushing around today doing errands and then Ruben and I went out to lunch at the Planet Hollywood Hotel. We went to the new Earl of Sandwich they opened. (like the one in Orlando) YUM!

I'll write more later. Are you packed yet?? :rolleyes1

Did you say there is an Earl iN LV?

Well, here we are on the last day of the trip and we've saved the best for last. Our plan for today was to wake up early and get to Disneyland before it opened and go on the new Nemo ride, which we had not been on yet.

That was the plan anyways....

I woke up bright and early. 5:30 a.m. Whoo hoo! Right on time. I jumped in the shower, got dressed, then woke up the kids and started getting them ready. I woke up DH and he got in the shower. I started setting up the breakfast and then I asked my son if he wanted to take a shower since at that point it was only 6:30.

He looks at his watch and tells me it's 7:30. I told him his watch must be wrong since the hotel clock on the bedside table said 6:30.

So now I'm confused. What time is it?? I check the cell phone and my daughters watch. Both say 7:30. Huh?? How did our clock which had been right so far, suddenly get to be an hour behind????

All I knew was suddenly we went from being on time, early in fact, to now having lost an hour. I was not happy.

I finally did figure it out by the way. That week-end was originally supposed to be the end of Daylight Savings Time but it's been changed. Apparently the clock wasn't told of the change, lol, because it fell back an hour.

For those who aren't sure what I'm talking about here's more info on it:
After a 2005 decision by Congress, as of this year daylight-saving time ends the first Sunday in November. And while this week that gives Americans an extra hour of light in the evening until 2 a.m. Sunday, it's also given some people headaches. Many computers, clocks and other time-oriented electronics purchased before 2005 never got the memo, and they automatically - and erroneously - switched time last Sunday.

We finished getting ready, but after having lost an hour, and wasted time trying to figure out the correct time and what went wrong, by the time we checked out, loaded the car and pulled away, guess what time it was............ 8 a.m.!! :sad2:

That's right. I'm telling ya, this family is cursed to never leave before 8 a.m. :rotfl:

We rushed over to DL but after parking, and making our way to the Nemo ride, the line was 75 minutes long.
Now, I'm sure it's a good ride, but I've been on the old Submarine ride and I'm wondering just how different it can possibly be. I really didn't want to wait 75 minutes to find out.

However, I left it up to the kids to decide whether to wait or add that to our to do list for next time. They decided to save it for next time. (whew!! LOL) So instead we went on a few little rides:

Tea Cups
Matterhorn
Mister Toad's Wild Ride
Autopia

Then we headed over the the Princess Fantasy Faire. The twins took pics with the princesses. There was only two though and usually there are three. Thankfully the line was short, so I didn't mind since we hadn't waited very long. They met Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.

From there we went back to Toon Town. We went on the Gadget Coaster, took pics with Mickey, and went on the Roger Rabbit ride.

After that we made our way over to Woody's Roundup area. Took some pics there. The decorations are so cute!!!

The older two kids and DH went on to Thunder Mountain Railroad ride, while I stayed behind with the twins and we went into the petting zoo area. They loved petting the goats and sheep.

It was getting close to time for us to leave since we had lunch reservations at Rainforest Cafe. We decided to make our final rides be the Haunted Mansion and POTC, two of my favorites.

On the way out of the park, we stopped in one of the shops to choose some pins. Those are really the only souvenirs we usually buy. I got lucky somehow and my kids don't ask for souvenirs. :confused3 Don't ask me how the heck that happened but I'm not complaining!! :lmao:

I think because they are older now and are just happy to be there. Plus while they like Disneyland and the rides, they aren't into the movies or characters much anymore.
Now if they had a shop there full of Bratz dolls, Barbies, and video games it would be a different story. ;)

Lunch at the Rainforest Cafe was good. We were seated quickly and our waitress was very friendly and fast. The food was yummy as always. Their menu is so huge it's hard to choose!

I ended up getting an appetizer as my meal, the chicken quesadillas. DH got a burger, Hannah the mini hot dogs, Adam the shrimp poppers and chicken, Lindsey the chicken strips, and Noelle a burger. Everyone said their food was good and it must have been since they pretty much ate it all.

We followed that up with a Volcano for dessert which was so yummy and huge! It says in the menu for two or more and they aren't kidding! Our family of 6 shared it and it was plenty for us. Especially after a meal. They also sang Happy Birthday to me which was nice.

After lunch we took the monorail back to Tomorrowland for one last walk down Main Street and to take a few more pics. Then it was off to the car and on our way back home.

The whole trip was great. I had a lot of fun. The kids and DH did too. Halloween in Disneyland was really something to be seen.

It seemed to go by so FAST though. I am glad we'll be going back again before too long. Mid December will be our next visit and I cannot wait!! :yay:

Thanks for reading. :flower3:

Did you say there is an Earl iN LV?
Yep, sure is. Just like the one in DTD in Orlando. It opened not that long ago in the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino.

Their food is so good!! (Like my big butt really needs more good food in this town. LOL :rotfl2: )

I know they also have plans to open one in the Detroit area for anyone who might happen to be in MI.
It would be nice if they would open one in the Disneyland area too! But I don't know if there are any plans to do that or not.

No, we didn't win this, but for some reason my DH took a pic of it. Maybe just wishful thinking, since we'd already walked so far. LOL

I hope those of you who read this whole thing, enjoyed it. It was my first TR so I wasn't sure what I was doing. LOL

I love Disneyland and am so happy we will be able to go back again and again now.

Last year, I went on a ladies only trip with some others I met on the DIS, to WDW. It was so much fun!!! I've been thinking of doing something like that again next April or May in Disneyland since that's most likely where I'll be more often then WDW now.

I wonder if any ladies out there would even be interested in doing a "girls only" trip..... No men, no kids, but alot of fun. Anyways, it's just a thought. :rolleyes1 Maybe I'll start a thread on the DL board and see if there is any interest in something like that.

I didn't realize how many days it had been since I last checked in! Gosh knows I've been everywhere ELSE on the internet this week...:upsidedow

What a fun, quick, trip!

I love that picture of the full moon. If I had taken that, I would put it on the picture of the day thread, even though it's not *perfect*. Are you going to? (or did you? I haven't checked that thread today)

Your kids are cute. I can't help but look at the twins. When I was in school, every set of same-sex twins in my school was identical. There were no fraternal same-sex twins. So there's always a little part of me that gets confused (pathetic, I know) when I see them!

I'm glad Goofy kept that lady from getting ahead of you. Maybe that's why the characters don't have 5 fingers, LOL, so they aren't tempted to flash the wrong one. ;)

I sooooo want to do the girl's only trip. DH is all for it, he says he and DS will be fine. And of course DS will be almost 4, and pretty much a different kid then, than he is now! So I want to, but I'm a little afraid to leave DS (poor DH will have to take vacation to not go anywhere, LOL)...I can't commit but I WANT to do it! That doesn't help you much, but maybe it's better than nothing.:upsidedow

I didn't put it on there. I might. I wish my camera was better. lol But thanks for the idea, it didn't even occur to me.

Thanks. I'm so glad they weren't identical. It just keeps me saner that way!! LOL

That's funny, my DH said the exact same thing. :lmao:

You should! I started a thread on the DL board:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1626753

The trip I went on last time to WDW was the first time I'd gone anywhere with out my DH. I'd been on trips for the week end with just me and DH without the kids, but never totally solo. I was nervous. I admit, I cried a little in the airport, lol. But I made some great friends last time. We are still friends to this day.

My DH had to take a vacation too and not go anywhere but he really wanted me to do it. And I'm so glad I did. As moms, we all do so much. It was a chance to do something just for me and honestly, I missed my family and came back happy and refreshed and ready to be a better wife and mom.

It might sound corny, I think we all need a break sometimes to just go out and have fun. And it was so nice to be with a group of other ladies and just hang out and relax. So, I hope you think about it. If you have any questions you can always PM me too. :)

Well I bet you will have a great timer I have only been to disney world, never to disneyland sorry if I did not capatilize that. Tip for you don't skip a line if it's too long for two reasons. 1 because if you wait you may run in to a problem where the line will get bigger and a longer wait if you are planning to do it later.2 that's just part of being at a theme park and I understand if you would not want to spend have your time at a 2 day trip wating in line:hourglass but that is just a tip:thumbsup2. I think the title for your story would be great titled that and you I garantee won't have any trouble writing it. In fact you will have such a fun time you won't even be able to start:confused3. I like the sound of going to disney family park because I have heard about that place and it sounds fun.

have a great trip:cheer2:.
