Jumping Into Stormalong
We didn’t spend much time in the lobby because whats the fun of just sitting around when you could be out walking the boardwalk in the blazing heat?
The Yacht and Beach Club were looking beautiful so we made our way to the other side of Crescent Lake.
As soon as we made it to the other side, Sara ran off to find some shade from the sun
We told sara we were going to go by the water and she came out from hiding. Little did we know this would be the only time we would ever get to do this.
The beach club was beautiful today
Stormalong made me want to sneak in and swim for a bit
And the Yacht Club is just great
We decided to call it a day at the Epcot resorts and get a ride back to Hollywood Studios on the boat of friendship.
It was a lovely day for Hollywood studios, but unfortunately not for us
Instead of dropping by at the tower of terror we had to catch a bus back to our resort.
Sara went back into hibernation on the quick ride back to the resort
We got off at the Old Port Royale stop so I could stop at the random concierge desk, in the middle of the gift shop and food court, so I could pay our bill. Since we there we took advantage of the food and grabbed some lunch.
I decided to go with the kids pizza and cookie because those sugar cookies have become one of my favorites this trip. Sara ended up getting a kids meal too and opted for another pail, why she needed another who knows.
Around 2 we headed back to the room. Once getting back to our room that’s when Kiss realized he left his bag back at the food court. Poor kid had to walk all the way back from our out of way room.
We all got ready and headed off to Disney Springs around 3

The Cirque Curse
Tonight was our last night and I was getting my last surprise for this trip. So off to Disney Springs we go!
But before any surprise we first needed to spend all our money in World of Disney.
And thanks Disney for placing a starbucks right outside
Then it was time for us to head over to the west side. I sort of figured out the surprise before I was told. But Erin should have expected this since I had to know the insides and outs of DTD when working there. I needed to know when ticket booths opens, when stores were open, show times.
But then she handed me Cirque tickets and I died because I was never scheduled cirque while working and I never thought I would ever see it.
This is when things started to not seem right. The closer we got the the smokier it got. And thats when we heard the fire alarm
The crowds came to see what was going on, some were also like us and arriving to see the show.
There was no word yet, the cast members had no clue what was going on or what too say. We waited around and Sara was getting real judgmental about how Disney needs a fire department right next door. I tried to tell her that there is one right down the street, but that didn’t make it any better in her opinion. They needed one right next door. I knew it was a lost cause and there was no way the argument would end, she had her opinion and I had mine.
Reedy creek finally got on site and thats when we saw the water coming off of the balcony.
Then we overheard that all the sprinklers went off inside and I knew my cirque curse wasn’t over yet.
Reedy creek put up some crime scene tape that Disney quickly took down
Then they started making the announcements that all the shows were canceled for the night and you could get a refund at guest relations. So everyone ran and it was mobbed. We decided to read to the other guest relations, so we ran to the market place just to find out they moved it. Nice one Sam.
We found the new location and waited to get our refund. Erin was so mad that none of her surprises worked and then she told me how she also wanted to get California grill reservations as well but couldn’t get them. So we learned our lesson, don’t try to surprise Sam because it will always back fire.
Once getting our refund we browsed the Alex and Ani store, where I purchased the Jimmy Cricket one. Then we headed back to the market place to drowned our sorrows in some earls.
Somehow we managed to loose Sara to World of Disney where she picked up some last minute items and the rest of us went to Earls. Why we ever left her I don’t know. But we did. And by the time we got there the sky opened and down-poured. I got a panicked phone call from Sara saying she was done but didn’t know where earls was. It’s a far run for someone who doesn’t know there way around from WOD to Earls. So Erin jumped up and said she would run in the rain to get her and brought her back to Earls.
We all ate and then we all bought more food for later because Earls sandwiches are the best
The rain wasn’t stopping nor did it look like it was ever going to stop. So why not run and play in the rain?
We ran all the way to sprinkles to get us some free cupcakes for opening up an account. It was a beautiful thing
With earls and sprinkles in hand it was finally time for us to leave Disney Springs.
We got to the bus stop all nice and soaked but it was ok because we had our sprinkles.
By the time we got back to our room my lovely sister Alicia stopped over to hang out for the night. She was out of town this weekend for a wedding, so once she arrived I had to hear all about it.
We all had dinner but she didn’t so we all walked to the food court. The rain had stopped and we got a nice view of illuminations on our walk. However the rain started up again and we rain for our lives. We thought it would be a good idea to just cut threw the grass, wrong we all basically tripped over the same big rock.
We made it in one piece, Alish grabbed food and of course their were no seats inside. So we sat out on the porch and got bit up by bugs.
We didn’t really want to walk back to our room so instead we caught a bus back to our stop. Erin had to put her tight ankle pants around her feet because she didn’t wear shoes, classy.
We hung out in the room the rest of the night, we walked Alicia into staying over for the night
broke our barrel fridge and took some pirate shots.
We packed up our room so we were ready to leave bright and early to catch our Magical express. And kiss was kind enough to sleep on the floor for his sisters.

So sorry your plans didn't work on for the Cirque show. Now that's another reason to go back again. Like you need a reason!

We love the Boardwalk. Hoping to snag another reservation there in 2019. So what did you think of sprinkles? I have only had them in DC.

She is, so there is basically my reason to go to florida all the time now.
I just booked the boardwalk for this January for Kiss's birthday trip and I'm so excited!
Many people I feel like make it sound more amazing then it is. Don't get me wrong it was good, but it was just a funfetti cupcake.

When One Trip Ends Another One Begins
Today the magical express was picking us up at an ungodly hour. And just our luck we woke up late and had 5 minutes to get out of our room, back everything in alish’s car and head to the front of the resort. I will forever be thankful that Alicia stayed and drove us because the internal busses didn’t start running until 8am and we had to check our bags at 7am. That would have been the longest walk from our room.
We made it too the front by 7am, checked our bags and got on the magical express at 7:25am. That was the worst idea we ever had and I will always now leave at night.
From there is was the basic, get to the airport, browse/pick up last minute things at the ear port, grab some starbucks for the plane ride home
Erin played with her frozen bath toys, which she only bought because she thought they were cute. Our plane arrived, we got on it and headed home.
And that’s how this May vacation came to an end…..
But no need to be sad because I knew I would be coming back in August with my family…only if it was for a day.
So on with that quick little trip (even though I didn't plan on doing a report here we go!)
Every year my family takes a family vacation, this year we decided to take a cruise. I was trying to get a Disney cruise but had to settle for a Royal Caribbean cruise. However because I agreed to RC cruise I was able to get at least 2 nights at Disney World.
So we used Alicia for her CM discount and got 3 suites at AoA. 3 suites?! Basically it was my mothers whole side of the family and we needed a lot of rooms.
Breakdown on who's in the party
My family - Ma, Pa, Gma, Danielle, Alicia, Me, Kiss
Danielle's in laws - Adam (her husband), His mother, and her friend
Ma's Brothers Family - Uncle Bill, Aunt Shannon, their son Chris, and his wife Dana (who happens to love disney and does all the disney runs)
Ma's Sisters family - Aunt Lisa, her husband John, her daughter Ashlee and son Jackson
We left for Disney friday August 19 at 4. It was such a big group going that my aunt and her family left friday morning, my family and my uncles family left friday night, then my sister and her in laws left the next morning.
Our plane was delayed so we were late to getting to the resort. Alish was there waiting in the lobby for us and then we headed to our Cars room. I was so excited to be staying in radiator springs because in my opinion its the best themed section of the resort.
Getting to the resort I knew that I was going straight for landscape of flavors for some dinner AKA make your own pasta. Its may favorite thing. (of course I don’t have any photos of the deliciousness creation I made because at that moment in time I wasn’t planning on doing a report on it…but here I am)
After dinner we headed to the drop off because Ma and I have been talking about getting some banana cabanas.
Afterwards we just hung out in our room for the night.
Tomorrow morning I get to spend all day in the kingdom!

I enjoyed reading about the first trip. You always seem to have so much fun with your friends and family. Sorry about the surprise curse.
AOL cars section is one of my favorite places to stay. We were there in September. My favorite building is building 3 because it's close to everything.

I'm very fortunate to have a great group of people in my life that deal with me on a daily basis.
I stayed in the nemo section a while back and liked it, but the cars section is the winner. Our first night we were put in building 2...but then we switched to building 1.
A quick little addition that wasn't planned. But hey why not?!

We Are Heros Of Stories
We had an early morning and met Chris and Dana at the bus stop. Alicia told me the only way she would get me into the parks using her guest pass would be if there were 3 people, that way she wasn’t wasting any tickets. I had Kiss and me and needed just one more person. Knowing Dana loves Disney I asked her if she wanted the last free ticket, of course she jumped on it and they bought Chris a one day pass.
When we got to the kingdom of course we had ticket troubles, it basically always happens so we weren’t really fazed by it. Everything was all straightened out and we watched the morning show. Dana and chris had breakfast reservations at 1900 park fare so they basically got into the park just to leave.
We on the other hand decided to not go to space first but join the race to mine train, which in all honesty was really tame and we basically walked right on.
After mine train we walked around aimlessly in a very dead kingdom
Then we walked the whole park because we had no clue what we wanted to do
Our sister ride was a must! Its hard to believe but it was almost 2 years since we have been back to magic kingdom together. And the carpets has become a must do.
With the defeat of not bouncing the carpets for the millionth time of trying we headed to join the pirates.
We were in the park for a good amount of time and it was still very crowdless. It was such a slow day that Rafiki had some time to go grab himself a citrus swirl
And just like rafiki we were in need of some breakfast. Apparently we don’t eat breakfast when in a park because we had no clue where to get food. Like magic kingdom why don’t you have a quick service dedicated to just mickey waffles?!
Waffles…thats what I wanted. So we headed to sleepy hallow where I got the delicious fruit and nutella sandwich.

After our breakfast that consisted of waffles and fried dough we headed to starbucks quickly before going to the main reason I needed to go to a park… Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire.
Princes and Princesses, come one come all to the royal friendship faire
We are laced in a chain made of silver and gold
we are part of a pattern about to unfold
We are hero’s of stories yet to be told
we come together on this day
Oh boy I hear our first guests coming now
Allow me to introduce my new pals from the land of the bewitching bayou

And Princess Tiana
It’s a land of dreams, good cooking….AND JAZZ!

We were supposed to fly to Florida yesterday, but had to reschedule due to my daughter not being well enough to go. We're rebooked for November so hopefully that will happen! i'm drowning my sorrows in catching up on your trip report!! 
I'm sorry you weren't able to see Cirque, but it sounds like a really fun night anyway! I loved how your TR went from one trip to another! We're supposed to stay at AoA in November so it's fun to read about that! Boy, the MK was crazy uncrowded the morning you were there. The picture of Rafiki in line is too funny!

However I love that they incorporated Tangled and Princess and the Frog. The downside, frozen. Which I felt was pointless since it was basically Elsa, Anna just sort of looked stupid on the stage. Then don’t get me started when they have the grand dance and the sisters awkwardly dance with olaf.

Dreams That Glow
After the show we headed to tomorrowland for a ride in Space. After Kiss decided to make a phone case….And of course he went with the carousel of progress one.
After we headed down main street to the hat shop because I needed to get a pair of personal ears for a special little child back home. While we waited for them to be embroidered we played around the shop and listened into a phone conversation.
Those little Disney touches.
After looking at the fear in the CMs eyes, I stopped her before she could butcher the name.
With ears in hand we hopped on the train to take us to the back of the park, splash mountain was calling our names
After splash mountain we hopped back on the train and headed to the next stop
We decided to grab some lunch at Pinocchio’s. Our original plan was to leave before the parade. However one of Alicia’s friends was in it and we decided to stay. I wasn’t complaining because I love festival of fantasy. So once we were done we headed back to frontier land to grab a seat.
The struggle for me for this viewing was that I wasn’t planning on watching it so I didn’t have hardly any more room on my memory card. So it was a take a few photos and hope they turn out good.

Drink to Breathing
Just like anytime we watch FoF we followed the parade out and stopped in the hub. This was the first time Alicia was in the hub…excuse me what?!
Overall, Hub Grass for the win
After our quick trip to the hub grass we headed out of the park and back to AoA. Tonight the whole family was going to dinner at our favorite place on property, Hoop Dee Doo.
While we were at MK my mother had AoA change our rooms so we could all be next to each other, unlike being in all different buildings. I’m not really sure what that purpose was but whatever. Before heading to our room we decided to be our own people and find our own “famous” wall. As some of you may know the purple wall is a big thing. If you don’t have a picture in front of it did you really go to the magic kingdom? Clearly I have not.
So here’s the cool multicolor wall at AoA
Afterwards we headed to our new room and everyone took a quick nap and got ready.
Getting 14 people on the same schedule is a struggle, but somehow we got everyone to the bus stop at the same time and headed to the Magic Kingdom.
We were doing good time wise until we got stuck waiting forever for a boat to fort wilderness. And the wait was starting to make people cranky. A boat finally came and took us to the fort. We rushed to check in and found that we would be seated at 2 different tables. This lit the fire that was about to explode. Trying to figure out seats was more difficult then it should have been. Then my mother insisted on getting a photo of everyone.
The picture was taken and we headed inside. Thats when we became the bad siblings, we chose the wrong table that wasn’t the “kid” table and everything went up in flames like it was the end of the world. But I guess not inviting Danielle to the parks this morning when in our argument, she didn't even arrive to Disney property till noon. And then we also told her to sit with her husbands family and she would just not have that.
So we changed seats to the kid table plus Gma, I couldn’t see and the show went on.
The Claire to my Flora
A joke that runs in my family was that the last time I came here the unlimited sangria became only 1 for Sam because the server just wasn’t on her A game that night. This night I was ready to redeem myself and with how the night was going Alicia and I played a drinking game that got ridiculous. It first started with the casual, drink anytime claire laughs and by the end we were just drinking because people were breathing. Then to make it better poor Dana was sitting next to us diluting her sangria in sprite…
Overall the show was great and when it came to the end of where they pick the guests Chris was sure to remind everyone how he was chosen back in 1994 (the last time we all went together) to be the little cowboy and the biggest thing he remembered was how he couldn’t eat his meal.
The show ended and we were missing Pa, where he went we had no clue. But this should have been a warning sign later on of this vacation. We found him and we all headed to the boat dock to head back to the MK.
And even if we sometimes feel left out or are mean to one another, we are family and this is our home
When we got to MK Alicia and I ran in and ran out in time to meet everyone back at the bus stop. Then once arriving back at AoA we backed up and got ready to leave nice and early tomorrow morning.

Great update. It sounds like your family has a lot of fun together. They sound like my family we can't go anywhere without losing someone or someone getting mad over something silly.
We were in building 2 at AOA on out last trip. I thought it was a little far from everything but the parking lot.

Sailing Away
Since we had a big group Ma took over to be in charge of getting to port canaveral from Disney. Back when we did our Disney cruise we took a bus full of DISers. So my mother went through the same company and got us a 16 passenger van. We all had to be in the front of AoA by 9 for pick up.
Sketch Ya Later Disney!
Day 1
Once arriving to our port we went through security, signed our papers and got on the Freedom of the Seas. And like every good cruise the first thing you go for is the buffet followed by the pool, however we first wanted to sign up for a catamaran excursion at the front desk. Then it was food, pool and sun since our rooms were not yet ready. At 4 we had our muster drill and then it was time to sail away. (unimpressed with their sailing away party…where’s mickey?!) It was weird not having to run to get a spot for the show because there wasn’t really one. Instead our big party met at the front of the boat to watch us leave the port.
7 days of no communication to the real world and unlimited bahama mamas.
day 2
Today was our first stop at their private island. I was judging and comparing to castaway cay right when we got off. First of all they tender you, so you have to take a short boat ride to the island itself. After that is was just a nice island where mickey and friends weren’t running around.
By the time we made it to the island Pa wasn’t feeling good and headed back to the ship and missed the whole day on the island. Ma then took us all to the other side of the island. At first I thought it would be like the adult quite part of the island. So we basically took a hike all the way to the other side so just find little hidden nooks that we had all to ourselves.
It was a hot sweaty trek but it was worth it. We were also able to see some sting rays just swimming along the shore.
And before we left the island I needed to get a drink in a pineapple, I could officially knock that off of things I needed to do
Tonight was 1 of 2 formal nights and our big family was planning on going all out this night. However once we got back to the boat Pa still wasn’t feeling good so we decided to wait for the last formal night.
The dinner on this cruise was weird because all I knew was Disney Cruising and their switching of restaurants. Here we stayed at the same place and they just changed up their menus. However the different fruit cold soups they had each night were my favorite and the cheese rolls, our table alone probably ate all of them on the ship.
Ma and Pa missed dinner and when we went back to our room we found out that Pa was very sick and that they thought he had a heart attack. That changed this family vacation drastically. So Ma took all 4 children down to level 1 to the medical center. Once getting there we could only go back one at a time to see him. I don’t know what he told my other siblings but to me he said “Be nice to your sister and make sure to have fun” So at this point in time we all though they would be helicoptering him off that night. The worst thing about the whole situation was that we were in the middle of the ocean with no way to communicate with each other. Meaning we would have no clue if our parents would be on the boat when we woke up the next morning.
Day 3
We woke up and learned that our parents were still on the boat and they were able to stable Pa till we got to our next stop. Today was a day at sea, and at breakfast we learned out that thanks to a hurricane our itinerary changed. Instead of going to st marten and st Thomas we would be going to Mexico. Basically this trip was just not going in our favor at all.
Day 3 was dedicated to eating, swimming, visiting pa, belly flop contest, more eating, visiting pa.
Tonight I was SO EXCITED to be reunited with my sea legs. I’m probably one of the only people in our group that was excited to feel like boat rocking. Then we learned that they put on all the engines to get to mexico. Why? because Pa. We learned that they wanted to get him of as soon as they could in costa maya to drive him 3 hours cozumel to get him to a hospital there so they would have over a day to figure out what was happening.
Ma came up with us at the end of the night to go to the game show that night. Tonight it was the battle of the sexes and it was hilarious.
Day 4 - Costa Maya
This morning we woke up to find out once again that Pa was still on the boat, which was a relief. And instead of being rushed to a hospital they sent him back up to our level and just had him on bed rest.
Ma, Alish, Kiss and I decided to check out Costa Maya.
If Frozen has done anything for me it would be learning how to be fetchingly draped
The nice thing was that they had a free pool to swim in and I was more than ok with that
We didn’t sign up for any excursions so all that was really there to do was shop. Alicia and Kiss both got some fancy rings and when you purchased jewelry from the store we were in they gave you a shot of tequila. Neither of them wanted it so me and Ma took one for the team.
Tonight Ma and Pa didn’t join us at dinner but they did join us for the game show for that night
Day 5- Cozumel
Alicia and I went to cozumel on our last cruise on the Disney Wonder. We didn’t like it since its just a long hot strip mall of stores that all sell the same touristy things. So we didn’t plan on getting off the boat this day.
However we did end up getting off the boat to go get some food and say we got off. The only thing we saw was Hard Rock and I was in need of chicken fingers…Royal Caribbean DOES NOT HAVE CHICKEN FINGERS! That lost a lot of points in my book. Plus getting off we also got some free wifi! Winning.
Before dinner we ran up to the flow rider because Chris was signed up to do the surfing session.
Later on in the night we did the game show of the night, which was some finish the lyrics know the song game. Then we all geared up and did family rock climbing under the stars.
Tonight was the disco party on the promenade, I was too tired to deal with people so we grabbed some bahama mamas and watched from our window (thanks to our promenade rooms for making that possible)
Day 6
the last 2 days were sea days, meaning pool all morning. This afternoon there was the love and marriage game show (which will always be hilarious) and because I could Ma and me headed to go ice skating as well.
When you signed in they gave you a time to skate so we had time to grab some lunch and then it was time to make a fool out of ourselves
I did a lot better then I thought, no falling so thats always a plus.
Tonight was our last formal night and Pa was able to join us!
The best thing that Royal Caribbean has going for it is The Quest. By far the best game show! You’re broken up into groups with strangers and its basically an adult scavenger hunt. If you aren’t a person to act like a fool to have fun this is not for you. I sizzled like bacon on the floor, joined a human toboggan team, gave random strangers random articles of clothing, and dressed a random guy into a women. It hilarious and I never wanted it to end.
Day 7
Our last day was spent by the pool. Getting our family into a pool volleyball tournament and catching the last rays of this trip. Then it was pack your life up and enjoy the free unlimited food and entertainment for one last night.
Day 8
Unlike Disney, we didn’t have to wake up at 6 to get to breakfast and get off the boat by 7am. We stayed on the boat for as long as we could because we had a nice long 6 hour wait till our flight home. And rushing to the airport wasn’t anything we needed to do. We got to the airport so early that we couldn’t even check out suitcases, so we just hung outside of the earport.
Ma ended up getting a day room upstairs so Pa could sleep and I must say those airport rooms are beautiful! Plus instead of being bored at the airport we got to swim as we watched plans take off.
It was then finally time to catch our plane home. We said our goodbyes to Alish, although through this whole trip we were planning my trip to visit her during halloween time because this year I refused to miss MNSSHP!
And this my friends is the end of not one but 2 trips. Although the last trip wasn’t what we expected we made the best out of it. What’s in store for our next family vacation, who knows? But before next summer comes, heres to Halloween time in Disney!
