So I am very excited today. I have been trying to get my DH to commit to a date to go next year, and I think I may have got him to do just that. Even though it is a year away (uughh...) there is still a date set now.

I have been telling him, (and telling and telling and telling :lmao: ) about the new celebrations promo and that we need to go for one of our birthdays. And then I keep telling him about MTOTP, and he said that that sounded like fun.

So..... I came up with a plan and talked to him about it earlier today. We will drive down to DLR on Mon, Oct 5th (which happens to be my b-day), we will check into hotel, head to Downtown Disney and stop by the ticket boothes to pick up the gift card for my b-day. (thinking about buying an AP, so maybe we will head into the parks that afternoon too.)

Then we plan to stay in the parks until at least Fri, Oct 9th and buy tickets for MTOTP that night. We will either drive home Sat or stay another day and come home Sun.

So.... MTOTP should be scheduled for Oct 9th right? It is the second Fri in Oct.

Anyone know of the blockout dates around that time?

And can I pick up my free celebrations gift card the day we check in (even though we might not head into the parks until the next day)?

TIA! I am so excited!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Great planning so far with one minor exception. The birthday gift cards will only be good on your birthday. Anything that is left on the balance at the end of the day is lost. So, you will probably want to make plans to either have dinner or do some shopping in the parks that day!

I knew that the balance was only good for that day, and I thought that we could do some shopping at World of Disney. But I am just curious if I can get the gift card if I am not entering the park that day. I do not know if we will decide to get AP's, we might just be going on 4/5 day hoppers. That will depend on money at the time. Although, the gift card would more than make up for the price difference at least for one AP upgrade (for me). And we could still use the discounts for food...... hmmm.... :confused3

I have read the FAQ about the fun card and can't figure out if I indeed HAVE to use a day's admission on a hopper pass to get the fun card instead of the free admission. Does that make sense?
