I did half a trip report once and then I sort of let it slide. I’m tired, I work. That is my life motto, much to my sister’s annoyance. This trip we are about to embark on will be different. For the first time there will be no men folk. I like men, especially my own, I call him Map Man. He drives and navigates and almost never gets lost, I ride. He rarely denies me or dd anything we want, like multiple trips to WDW a year. He makes dinner most every night and he also carries things, I hate lugging heavy things. Lest you think this is a bad deal for him, I do work and as he says, I let him touch me. In every relationship I think there is one person who is the delicate flower, in ours it’s me. In my sister’s it is her DH.
This will be a different trip because……. My sister wanted to take her kids to WDW and her DH who is a very nice man but kind of a delicate flower, was not into that at all. My sister always says she is the man in this relationship. We’ll call my BIL , Doc. Although my sister often calls him Grumpy or Sleepy depending on the day. He’s tired he works. I just realized this implies my DH doesn’t work, untrue he works about 50- 60 hours a week most weeks. Sorry, back to my BIL, He is a doctor and while he may not want to do WDW with his 6 year old twins, one of whom is autistic, he does make the dough that allows my sis to be a stay at home mom and also is paying for me and dd to go on this trip, so I will give him a
and move on with my story.
As for my sister we will call her Bunny after Winnie the Pooh’s Rabbit, like Rabbit, my sis is always busy, busy. And like Rabbit she likes the important feeling of having too much to do. I don’t get it, but then I’m tired I work. Since her DH wasn’t into the whole deal and she was not wanting to go to WDW with out the benefit of my vast Disney knowledge. She asked if she paid would I go with her and be her husband? I needed clarification, would I be expected to be like her husband or mine? She acknowledged I couldn’t meet the standards Map Man has set, but she was expecting me not to be Grumpy or Sleepy. Ok I can do it! Of course I couldn’t leave my sweet big mouthed 9 year old Mickey loving kid at home, so Rabbit or rather Doc will be springing for her too. Just for the record I know if she could have found a way she would have really wanted to take Map Man with her instead of me, but that would be a Jerry Springer show so she didn’t even try.
Here is the rest of the Cast:
Mouth All Mighty - My dd, age 9. Talks a lot!!! Does competitive Cheerleading and Horseback riding. Has the same b-day as Mickey Mouse,. LOVES WDW and does not like cheap hotels or service she doesn’t find excellent. She is a future delicate flower.
Piglet- My niece- she is 6. She is tiny, very sweet and a little timid like Piglet. She is very artistic and worries about the rules and eating 5 fruits and veggies a day. She has never drank a drop of soda and considers it evil. This is really all her, Rabbit runs on Diet Coke.
POOH- My nephew. Piglet’s twin. Like Pooh, Max is loveable and loves to eat. He is a very big boy for his age. He loves Disney and Sesame Street videos and swimming. He has autism and is non verbal.
The Decider- that’s me. Remember when President Bush said that about invading Iraq? “ I’m the Decider, I decide.” That cracked me up. It does fit me though, at home and at my job. I love WDW and can’t stand it if I am not planning a trip to the world.
We will be going from May 6-15th staying the first week at the Sheraton Vistana- We love to stay on site, but a place with a kitchen and washer and dryer is so much easier with Pooh. The last two nights we will be doing Universal staying at the Hard Rock. We are planning one park per day. As it turns out this won’t be a totally man free trip. Map Man was sad to be here alone with out us, so he is coming down Tuesday through Sunday he will stay with us but skip the parks and just play golf. He smartly is avoiding the whole flying with us thing, can’t say I blame him, we don’t want to fly with us! Wish me luck, if I survive my time as a husband I’ll finish this report upon my return.
