A Trail of Tears from Louisiana to WDW & Back Again! New PTR Link 8/15

Wow that's so messed up! Sounds to me like he was looking for a reason to break up with her. That stinks! She'll probably have more fun hanging out with you anyway!

Trust me...I know all about those non-disney moments! In 2006 my boyfriend's brother came to WDW with us....I ended up screaming at him in the hotel room 2 nights before we went back home. And i do mean SCREAMING at him. He was rude, disrespectful, and just outright obnoxious the whole week. If I had known how well it would work I would have done it earlier.

Yeah, I should have known my cousin was a jerk to begin with.:lmao:

I don't feel so bad now about having non-Disney moments! I was starting to think that we were the only family in the world that had those moments at the Happiest Place on Earth!

I can't believe I didn't find your TR until now!! You all really were troopers going to Epcot after being up all night - I would have wanted to crash for a few hours first :rotfl:

I loved all the interaction your kids had with the characters - esp your DD! Sorry you ended up with blisters on your feet but hope the new Croc sandals work better for you!

We'll be waiting patiently for your next updatepopcorn:: I feel so bad for her, but if he broke up with her over that, better now than later.

Hope you're having fun together:cool1:

Heck no! In 2004, my step-father and my mom took me and my BF, my brother, and my sister. He spent the whole time rushing from place to place, my sister did nothing but complain about the heat, and the lines, and how me and my BF were "walking too slow."

In 2006 we had the incident mentioned earlier....

In 2007, me and my BF took my brother and his GF at the time. She was consistently late for every single thing during the entire trip. She insisted on blow-drying, rolling, and flat-ironing her hair, putting on a full face of makeup, and espadrille heels one night to go to DTD.... We were going to see La Nouba and had tickets at the Will Call Window that we needed to pick up at 8pm. At 9pm when the show was starting, she and my brother were just getting on the bus to DTD. My BF and I ended up having an argument in front of MouseGear one night about her because we were both fed up and just took it out on each other.

In 2008, just the two of us went and we had an argument outside Dinosaur because I told him to stop making ridiculous faces in the ride photos. He started yelling at me saying I was "taking away all of his fun." :confused3 Right at that moment, Goofy and Pluto came out for meet and greets and it was like the argument never happened. The pictures actually came out so cute that we have one hanging on the wall in our living room! :rotfl2:

Maybe I'll start including all the of "heated discussions" in my TR this year....Sounds like good (cheap) therapy! :lmao:

I've enjoyed reading your trip report. You kids are absolutely adorable! Have a great day from a fellow Thibodaux, LA DISer.

I think heated discussions are just a part of the trip! And it does help to get that stuff off of your chest. Go for it, Simba!!! :thumbsup2

:welcome: So glad you found it! Once we got there, we were no longer tired & we were ready to hit the parks, after we got back to the resort, we were ready to hit the bed!:rotfl:

The interactions made this trip so well worth all the money we spent! The croc sandals did work better, but not for long!

Thanks! And that is what I told her! We would be having more fun if it would stop raining for one day!

It is cheap therapy!

Thanks! It is nice to see that we had those heated discussions, but 5 minutes later 1 character, or 1 look on one of the kids faces made it all better & we forgot.

That is just down right horrible. Hey at least she still got you in this tough time.

Well, now my idiot cousin decides now he wants to see her, so she will be getting a rental to go see him tomorrow, so I should be able to post at least Shelby's 1st haircut at MK!

For those of you who don't know, Koby will be starting 5th grade in 4 weeks. He will also play trumpet in band. Well, I get an email saying that the school's website has been fully updated concerining the 2010-2011 school year. So I was able to print out the school supply list, which is not bad at all this year, Thank God! And I checked out the band booster link. What to my wonderful eyes see. Their goal this year is to bring the band students to Disney World this summer, should they raise enough money! I had planned to join the booster club anyway, but now more so! You know they will need chaperones, and I am just the band/Disney mom to do it! I am sooooooooooooooo excited now! And so is Koby! I just had to share that bit of awesome news, I knew only my DIS friends would be excited & get my excitement on this!:lmao:

Wait, does that mean I have to do TWO PTR's?

SWEET!!!! That would be sooo cool! I remember a few years ago, my cousin got to go to WDW with the marching band at her High School. My high school band went o Philadelphia, Virginia, and Ohio...they were fun trips but wow was I jealous of her!

You will DEFINITELY need two PTRs!!

:cool1::banana::cool1: How fun!!!!

I'm jealous that your supply lists are posted already, I can't even get a firm date on when my 2 yo two day preschool is. And I'm anxiously awaiting my 5 yo supply lists.

2 PTR's needed for sure :)

That's fantastic! Hunter and I were just talking about orchestra this week. The high school orchestra got to go to New York, Washington and Disney World. Their orchestra leader (who is also the high school leader) told them that it's possible that the junior high could go to one of those places this school year.
