A Trail of Tears from Louisiana to WDW & Back Again! New PTR Link 8/15

I always know when the pain pills are kicking in because my nose itches like crazy. I feel like a cocaine addict always rubbing my nose! The pain was so bad today that I was in tears at the dr's office. I could not bend down at all & I could not pick up Shelby. That was when I realized I needed to get seen. Urinating blood is never a good thing.

Any time I take the liquid cold or cough medicine, it always makes me sneeze! Funny how that stuff tickles your nose!

:scared1: - No, urinating blood is NOT a good thing! So glad you went and had it checked out.

I was hoping it would just go away, wishful thinking lol. But I have had many kidney infections & I knew it was going to get worse. And the idiot dr said I was wrong & ordered x rays to see if I had something wrong with my back. Surprise, surprise I did not. Duh! He said it was a muscle strain & I flat out told him that he was wrong. Ben's aunt tells me "Let me think about this, who went to medical school?????" I replied, "he did, but I know my body & I have had way too many of these kidney infections. I know what it is." I had one when I was pregnant for Shelby at 24 weeks & when she was 2 months old & almost died from it. I know this pain. I hate when drs think they know more than you.

Oh yeah pain pills have kicked in...I am rambling! LOL!

I missed what what said yesterday, but I can't imagine why anyone would criticize a mom for staying home with her children. :confused3 Was there more to it than that? I wish I had seen the post for myself.

I have been reading your TR since the beginning. The title caught my eye because I am from LA, too!

It was removed, so no one saw it but Joni, Stacey & I. She also called Ben a ****** for not getting me a wheelchair when my feet were so swollen, said that I was a glutton for punishment for staying with him, wanted to know why I didn't get a wheelchair myself & that was why she would never be a SAHM because no one can tell her what to do with money. She said my friends were not true friends because they didn't tell me the truth. Joni reported her & all the posts got deleted.

:welcome: I am so glad you posted! Where in LA are you from?

OMG!! some people criticize others and never look at themselves. All relationships will have ups and downs. I slept on the balcony of our hotel room on our honeymoon because of an argument!!! :lmao: We look back at that now and laugh. Hang in there. SAHM are wonderful. We really couldn't afford for me to stay home, and now we like Disney too much for me to stay home. I know I am a bad mother!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh wow! On your honeymoon?! That is crazy! You are not a bad mother at all! I loved working! I just can't see leaving my Shelby behind! Now that the boys are older & in school I wouldn't mind it so much.

Here it is, I found the email with the notification:

I have read your whole report and I think your boys and your daughter are absolutley adorable!!I think you did a great job planning the trip for your family! But I must say after read your report..your DH.. WHAT AN A!!Seriously!look at your foot! How can he say you can't get a wheel chair because he does not want to spend any more money??WOW! What kind of husband sees his wife and wants her to continue to suffer?? Why didn't you just buy it yourself??are you a gluten for punishment?? Iknow you are going to mad reading this but only because you know I am telling you the truth..and all your friends that don't say anything are not really your friends!
This is another reason why I will never be a SAHM..no one will ever tell me what to spend my money on!

I'm soo glad ya'll made it home safe. We were considering driving this year when we go, it is about a 13 hour drive. I am terrible at making myself stay awake for anything! We are just going to go ahead and fly again, probably because my DH knows he would be doing all the driving alone, because I would be sleeping!

Glad the troll was reported and is gone. We would have defended you! Hey, we're all human and we all have conflicts (yes, even at Disney, the happiest place on Earth!) and I appreciate you telling the story as it was. We've all been there and done that at some point in our lives. Kudos to you for not putting "rose-colored glasses" on your TR!

Thank you so much. I realize I did put it all out there so to speak, so everyone is entitled to their own opinion of our trip & how Ben acted/treated me. But as you can tell, we are hoping to go back next year & hopefully things will be lots different next time. Live & learn. This was our 1st solo trip to Disney & our 1st ever family vacation, so there were bound to be bumps on the road. The part that really bothered me what when the troll criticized me for being a SAHM. I love being a SAHM (most of the time :rotfl:). As I told Joni, I could get my job back at the sheriff's office in a heartbeat, but I choose not to work. Yes, money is tight, but I am not working. I would miss out too much on Shelby's life, my boys life & I refuse to work just to pay for daycare.

On another note, I went to the dr today finally. The dr is a joke, but long story short, I do have an infection. I am on Cipro for the infection & Ultram for pain. So as I am typing this, I am high as a kite :lmao: I will try to post the souvies as soon as I can see straight!:lmao:

Trolls....:sad2: People think that just because someone puts their life out there, that they are given the right to criticize as they see fit. Any Disney fan should know the Golden Rule: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!" Thumper couldn't have been more clear! Obviously if you thought Ben was such an A (as she so eloquently put it...:rolleyes1) you would not have married him and had 3 kids...much less gone on a trip to WDW with him. People fight! It happens! Anywhere, anytime! If you don't have anything constructive to say, then just don't respond! Besides, YOU can say whatever you want about your husband because he's YOUR husband! No one else has to right to say things like that. I'm so sorry she gave you a problem.

And PS - I would LOVE to be a SAHM! And I don't even have any kids yet! :rotfl2: Does being a Stay-At-Home-Pet-Mom count?? :lmao:

Glad you had a safe drive home! Back in 2005 when my brother graduated from Basic Training, we had to drive down to SC from CT for his graduation ceremony. At the time, my BF didn't drive so I had to make the whole drive by myself. Of course, it was the day before Thanksgiving, we left after 2pm, it was pouring rain... we hit so much traffic is was disgusting. I ended up getting a speeding ticket in VA because I was just so desperate to get there. We had to be there by 7am because the ceremony was starting at 8am. I ended up having to stop and take a few naps along the way and I think we pulled into the parking lot at 7:45am, changed our clothes in the car, and went right to the ceremony (after I had been driving for 17 hours)! I look absolutely horrid in the pictures my mom insisted on taking. It was atrocious.

Ugh about that kidney infection! Last summer I went to work and within an hour I was crying in my seat! I had no idea what was wrong but I had the worst pain in my back. My supervisor sent me home and I ended up going to Urgent Care later that night when the pain was getting worse. The doctor (again, a total joke), told me that I might have a kidney stone. He sent me for a CT Scan the following morning. The CT Scan was clear. Then he says "maybe you have a bladder infection...." Wouldn't you think they would test for that FIRST? Since you took a urine sample to rule out PREGNANCY! HELLO!!! You would think that UTI, bladder infection, and kidney infection would be on the list... So I never really found out what it was but I was also on Cipro and some mega pain killers. It was horrible. Hope you get better soon!

This has nothing to do with anything really but someone posted before about sleeping on the balcony after having a fight with her husband and it reminded me of when I slept in the bathroom on vacation once. I think we were in Virginia and my dad was snoring so loudly that I took my pillow and a blanket and I went and slept on the bathroom floor. Again, completely unrelated but I had to share because it still makes me laugh.

Thanks so much for all the understanding! My back last night was killing me, I didn't get much sleep. I kept waking up & trying to get comfortable. I am on day 2 of the Cipro so hopefully I will start to feel better soon! The dr also gave me some pills to take away the burning when I pee that turns all body fluids red. He told me even my tears could be red from it! It's crazy!

It wasn't until we got home that I realized we bought no Disney clothing! What was I thinking?! So that is definite for out next trip!

Coming Soon: A look back at our trip & find out what was everyone's favorite part in each park & over all!

Great souvies! I love the "Shelby" necklace. How cute!!!

We found that in the gift shop at our Resort. We were just looking around & Koby found the rack of them. I asked Koby to see if they had Shelby's name. I didn't think they would, they never do. He exclaims "Mommy they have Shelby's name!" I showed it to Ben & he said "Well now we HAVE to get it for her!

I know what you mean. I can never find my name or my son's name on anything. So when I do, I buy it!
