a tip about the Mousekeepers at the WDW resorts/WDWSOS

We went to WDW in December and the Mousekeepers were wonderful! We stayed at the Contemporary!

Here's my tip.....we tipped very well and got lots of extra soaps to send to Dotti so she can make up baskets for children in the hospital dealing with cancer and other tragic childhood diseases. More info can be found at her site at http://allearsnet.com/acc/soap.htm

.....Also, I let my mousekeeper know that they were for gift baskets for ill children and she gave me a huge bag full.

Mousekeeping is the best! They made our trip wonderful! We can't wait to go back in November!!!!

We used the 2 beds and the pull out so we left three dollars a day, unless there was a lot for her to do , then we left five.

I'm glad it worked out for you. We were at CBR for Valentine's Day weekend. Just the two of us - absolutely no mess - we even wiped down the sink area! I left $4 each day, and then one day left an extra $5 with a note for some extra soaps and shampoos. (Couldn't find anyone to ask in person). We got ONE extra soap and ONE extra shampoo. Maybe next time I'll hunt someone down and ask them personally. Great for the kids, though!!

That's great...but just know - it won't happen all the time.

We alos tip very well each day - for mousekeeping and turndown service at AKL. On our most recent trip - no towel animals, no extra lotions/soaps/etc. On our trip in Sept, also at AKL, we tipped well and received more lotion then I knew what to do with.

So - even if you are tipping generously - don't expect to really 'get anything else in return' except for a clean room.
