A tiny little beef with Disney Channel (OK, a big beef)

Just a tiny little vent and then I'll drop back into DisBoards obscurity, but why is it Disney Channel can't put out complete season sets of their shows like every other network on the planet? And the DVD sets of shows they do put out have five or six "favorite" episodes and most of those sets have the same eps on each set (the two Jonas sets ring bells with anyone)! It's so frustrating!

I'd love to own complete sets of seasons of Sonny or Jonas or Wizards or even Lilo & Stitch or fifteen other Disney shows I've watched throughout the years, but Disney won't give me the chance. Oh, they will give me gold, diamond, platinum editions of DVD's or extended editions, sing along, and concert versions of D-COM movies, so I know they aren't afraid to put material out there. Why are they so scared to release their TV shows? Anyone have a clue? Is there some TV show secret I'm not aware of?

Wow...just re-read before I let this puppy fly and I really sound peeved, so I guess I was madder than I thought about it. Just started watching Sonny With A Chance and I'd like to catch up with last season, but other than the one DVD set with 5 eps that's out there, I'm basically SOL other than re-runs and it reminded me of other shows throughout the years I've thought the same thing about and I wondered if anyone else felt the same.

BTW...I'm aware you can download eps from itunes, etc and in desperation I will do that, but I want to watch in my comfortable chair, looking at a big screen, drinking my tea, the way TV was meant to be watched not sitting at my desk, looking at my monitor.

I'm right there with you on this. I'd love it if they'd release full seasons of Phineas and Ferb but I'm not holding my breath for it happening any time soon. I know they have Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck etc. on DVD now, so maybe we'll just have to wait a few (okay several) years.

The first season of Hannah Montana was released. I believe Lizzie got DVD box sets. WHY can't they do more? I want the other 3 seasons of Hannah!

I know! I can't believe that the 1st season box set of Hannah didn't sell well enough to make more sets. Hannah's too popular for not to sell.

We have Apple TV which allows us to download from itunes and watch it on our TV. If you have an Apple store nearby, check it out (or go online to their website)!
