It seems to me there are a few of us that don't have any trips in the planning at the moment and if you are anything like me, you are suffering the Disney Blues (yes that is a medical condition I'm sure). I thought we could come together and share our thoughts in this thread, share ideas for fun ways to keep a little bit of Disney in our lives and advice for getting through until a new trip is planned.

I don't have another Disney trip on the horizon for what feels like forever but potentially a 2013 Europe trip with a quick stop in at Disneyland Paris but who knows if that plan will come off.

Soooooooooooo.............

How can we all keep the excitement of Disney in our lives without planning a trip? I swear I love the planning almost as much as the trip.

- I was thinking maybe some theme nights with dinner themed to a Disney movie we could watch.

- Maybe watching video footage from our trips, flicking through photo albums etc.

- Some Disney baking and craft.

- We play Disney Trivial Pursuit alot and that helps

- And our fave is watching the WDW DVD box set we got last year, awesome.

I would love to hear from others what they do to keep those damn Disney Blues away until another trip can be planned.

My greatest fear is what if I never get to plan another Disney trip? With so many wonderful and interesting places in the world that we haven't seen, I'm not sure whether I will get my husband to agree to go back. Sigh, that's too depressing for words.

I think we should DisPlan a trip in 2012 for just the AussieDissers. :rotfl:

1. Savings Plan
2. How to ditch SO and the kids
3. Where to stay
4. What to eat
5. When to go (or is this in the wrong order??)
6. What side trips to make
7. What Disney extras to go to
8. Shopping, shopping, shopping
9. What parks to hit when
10. Must do rides

I'm up for the game....

We seek hidden mickeys everywhere and like queen we put on our world of Christmas cd and listen to the tunes of a Disney christmas. It takes us back.

Oooh I love me some Christmas music so combine that with Disney and I could be in heaven. You know what I'm going to be working along to tomorrow.

PIO - so is this just a pretend trip we're planning? I'm in.:)

Yes...a pretend trip we're planning. Do you wanna do our "Pretend Pre trip Planning on Paper" here or in a separate thread....maybe we can call it PPP :rotfl:

Yoo Hoo Shuttergirl. When you get the chance...check out our new home... and let me know if you want anything changed or removed. :rotfl:

I listen to streaming Disney music from here

http://www.dtuneslive.com/index.php

They even have a channel dedicated to CHRISTMAS DISNEY MUSIC ONLY :woohoo:

You need to be a register to see what is playing on each channel on this part of the site
http://www.dtuneslive.com/modules.php?name=Music

And you can even request tracks to be played.

Queenie, thanks for sharing this. I've signed up but can't really work out how to use the forum, how to find the Christmas stuff or even how to play the stuff. It looks to me like you have to pay to play a song so I know i must be doing something wrong. Can you help?

Sorry to be a pain

Oh, I have an idea - Sydney Dis-meet. You should come across to Sydney for the weekend Shuttergirl and join us :thumbsup2

Oh Ms Shuttergirl......I am suffering the same condition "disney blues". Its just horrible isn't it. I am always checking the WDW website for specials.......but we are thinking maybe next christmas (2012) we will go and hopefully buy some DVC points. We were planning on doing it early this year then hubbys buisness got hit big time with a big tax bill! So the disney blues have set in on a count of that. Anway glad to see I am not the only disney nut out there and that there is such a condition as the disney blues!

I've got the post Disney blues too. At the moment I'm getting my Disney fix working on my scrapbook pages. No trips in the near future for the family. Hopefully in 2015 DH and I will renew our wedding vows in WDW for our 25th anniversary. Thats my plan anyway. But 4 years is so far away...:sad2:

Just got back from a two week trip to WDW, and I have to say it didnt quite feel enough like DL to me (I know! The horror!!) so now I really want to get back to DL so bad!!!

However DH has said no Disney trips for a few years (insert horrified face here) so now I don't know what to do!!

I'm trying to be sneaky and organise our next holiday for either Tokyo or Hong Kong and slip in a Disney day or two, but time will tell!

Platypus I just did my first scrapbooking page about Disneyland. I will take a photo and share on here. I'm excited to be back in the scrapping saddle again.

Bec, noooooooooooooooo, surely you didn't like DL better :rotfl:. I am stunned. Although I guess my feeling is if you only have a few days to spend then DL is your place but if you have more time up your sleeve WDW is the full package for family holiday. If I remember rightly you don't have kids so maybe DL is a better option for you. How many days did you go there for, what did you do etc?

I look forward to seeing your page. I hope to get a few done this week.

I have to agree with Bec, I'm a die hard DLR fan. I love WDW but if I had to choose DLR would win hands down.

We had plenty of time, we were there 2 weeks :confused3 It just didn't have the "Disney" smell, or the same "Disney" feel. It was awesome and had that great attention to detail, but I dunno... Just wasn't the same...

Do it!! You will not regret a Disney wedding! It was the best possible decision that DH and I made. The only hassle we had was the amount of people who decided to join us  A small intimate vow renewal would be amazing! :dance3:
