A Thank you FROM Fin, on behalf of the hosts

[Disney Dreams]

In the very final minutes on the host game last night, I finally got in.

After saying hi to Fin, she said to me, "Oh, and Jegrezo" thinking, uh oh, I asked, "Yes?"

Fin proceeded to share a few things with me that relate to many many here on the DIS Boards. I asked her very specifically if it would be okay to share "with the group" what we discussed. She said, "Please do."

Overall summary of our discussion: The hosts greatly enjoyed reading our thank yous and knowing how much their hard work was appreciated. Also, they appreciated the posts about "I won, but didn't get ____" as it helped them go back, check, and add a prize that they may have missed in the room at the moment of giving prizes.

So... here you all go. Enjoy!

Clearly I couldn't screen everything but the overall message that I believe Fin wanted to find its way to the Boards on behalf of her, as well as Lily and Hula is: We saw all the thank yous and appreciated knowing players appreciate us.

When I read Fin's response, I had a visual in my head of them fanning
themselves with one hand, getting all verklempt and saying:

"I promised myself I wouldn't cry!"

That is wonderful. I had the opportunity to thank Fin personally, which was great. Not just when she awarded me the room and ears, but in her host room last night.

I think all of these ladies did a wonderful job and I know it was hard with a lot of whining and a lot of begging from some who did not understand the guidelines they had to follow.

It is awesome that these ladies got to see the "thank yous" and know that many of us appreciate them.

Thanks for sharing DisneyDreams! It's good that Fin talked to you to share with us. I don't mean to take away from that... but I wonder, why doesn't Fin or other other Hosts just post here if they have a message for us? Why send it through a player? I know Yavn and other Staff have in the past...

Still, it's good to know they know that we know they're cool and appreciated, you know?

Also, they got cookies, flowers and a shirt? Woot! That was nice of someone to do. How would someone know how/where to send them something?

LOL Goofy! We sent them those items virtually in the "thank you thread" So glad the hosts saw the Rock the Cat Box shirt!

And very very glad they read all our posts. We truly do appreciate all that the hosts have done for us this past month. I know for sure that *I* would have snapped long before the month was up if I had been a host...

TY for sharing that with us, I think the hosts did an exceptional job with dreams month. They went above and beyond to try to make as many dreams come true as they could. I imagine at times that their last nerve was ready to snap especially with all the begging. But inspite of everything they made it a fun month and one that I know I'll never forget..TYVM Phinny, Hula and Lily when VMK made you hosts they couldn't have picked anyone any better..

Yes! We saw you! Sorry for falling silent on you. It is against VMK values to mention any outside web sites in game. This includes VMK message boards such as DIS. We saw you and were not wanting to ignore you, but it's more of a reflex to just fall quiet at the mention of DIS and hope that a room warning does not pop up.

Thanks for saying something here though so I could let you know why. Please say hi next time we cross paths in game. (Just don't mention DIS, lol - it has a silencing affect on many of us that are just too concerned about a ban).

Reading this made me realize that I thanked Fin for helping out when my friend didn't get their ears when Fin stopped by, but I never actually thanked her for my ears and pin, so I wanted to give a belated thank you to Fin and, even though I unfortunately missed Hula and Lily all month, I want to thank them, too, for all their hard work all month. I very much appreciate everything they did for all the VMKers, making the players happy Thanks again!

I am a littleoff the thread, but needed to share. I have been off VMK for just a few days, and had posted my daughter as an earless one on here before the dreams month ended. Well we got on today to play, and we found she had dream ears and a dream pin. You'd of thought christmas came early as she was screaming and yelling, she was so excited.
I don't know which host read her name and gifted her the ears, but the magic worked! So I just want to say thanks to all the hosts, and the special one who gifted Tinkprincessgrl her dream ears, you know who you are. You made a 5 year old very happy.
