:wave2:Hi! Welcome to our 2012 dining review! I'm Maura & my DH is Jeremey. I'll be writing the review w/ J chiming in. Let's go!!! We had a wonderful 2 week, vacation in Nov/Dec 2012. We did a split stay AOA,SSR & CSR w/ 1 night @ the Hyatt Reg.@ MCO. It was perfect & we had some delicious meals along the way.

^That's us! Our Ds did join us but you know what a kid's meal looks like. ;)

Rating System:

^Perfect & even magical!

^wonderful as always & just what you'd expect!

^Hey, @ least we're in Florida! The food? Just ok.

^Suze says..save that WDW $!!

Picture1301.jpg

Our view @ SSR, so beautiful! DTD is just beyond this. Just perfect!

Picture252.jpg

Packed some goodies for the trip & this worked out well! We ordered Garden Grocer as well & that worked as smooth as all my Dis pals said it would!! I loved GG!!

Our 1st meal was @ Narcoossee's

Forgot this AMAZING BREAD!!!!! The butter is the most amazing butter I have ever tasted in my life!!! The bread service is enough to bring us back to the signature restaurants!
Picture527.jpg

^I wonder what was so funny. I'm pretty sure, it's me taking pictures of our food...hahaha!!! He was all about it, telling me not to forget, but still, we felt a little goofy @ the time. ;)

We both got this:

Butter-poached Lobster Tail and Grilled Filet Mignon - boniato mashed potatoes, early winter vegetables, shallor-red wine butter emulsion

Picture529.jpg

J gives it:

M gives it:

I thought it was delicious, but next time I'll get the steamed Whole Maine Lobster - baked sherry-cheddar orecchiette grain and broccolini b/c I enjoyed the lobster the most. I'm more of a seafood person anyway. The lobster was incredibly delicious, I wanted more of it!!

Almond-crusted Cheesecake - with lambert cherry sauce
Picture533.jpg

Gets this from us both:
tramp.jpg

It was amazing but very, very, dense & filling.

Planet Hollywood:

Southwestern Salad - Fresh grilled chicken, corn, black beans, fontina cheese, diced tomatoes, tortilla strips and chiffonade of romaine tossed in a lime cilantro and peanut vinagrette
Picture508.jpg

I had this salad for the 1st time in Niagara Falls & loved it then. This salad was equally as good as the 1st one. I guess the manager knew of dis people taking pics of their food b/c he was starring @ us & asked as how we were doing the entire meal!:lmao: I was pleased w/ this light lunch so it gets a:

iasw_zps1c5759c5-1.jpg

Celebrity BBQ Bacon Chesseburger - Our classic 10 oz Angus burger finished with hickory smoked bacon, tangy sweet barbeque sauce and sharp cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomoato, onion and pickle

Picture509.jpg

J was not a huge fan of PH in Niagara Falls, but here @ DTD this burger was enjoyable for him w/o the onion. ;) He gave it the same rating as my PH meal.

The Crystal Palace
Pooh sayin' hi to us!!
Picture552-1.jpg

pft.jpg

^from the net, Pooh's Puffed Toast was IN-flippin'-credible!!!!
Breakfast @ Crystal Palace was just wonderful all around. We had an early ADR & everything was fresh. The characters gave my DS lots of laughs & he even shared his fruit w/ them!

tramp.jpg

^obvi!

I skipped the messy pics from this meal, except DS's cupcake! 'Ohana's service was wonderful!!

Picture741.jpg

ohana11.jpg

'Ohana was just ok this time for me.:confused3 I was really looking forward to this meal b/c it was my fav last year. I felt the chicken was a little chewy this time. I also made the mistake of eating too many noodles, so I was full by the time the meats came out. The dessert was still perfection.:cloud9: Overall, It'll get a very, very tall palm tree. I'll still go back!!::yes::
trees-1.jpg

J enjoyed the steak & meats as well as last year, so he says it should get this:

I'm joining in! I love your reviews so far. I do have one question though. In your Narcoossee's photos, there is a disposable drink cup.... why? They surely don't serve drinks in that, do they?! I have dinner at Narcoossee's planned for DH and I in October.

Off to a great start!

:welcome: Thanks, I'm kinda new to this. This will be only my 2nd review & I'm still figuring things out as I go. So thank you for joining in!!! :)

:wave2: Hi! Thanks for reading!! Yes, the cup is actually my DS2's milk!! :rotfl:Narcoossee's serves beverages in adults glasses & they have lovely white table linens. It's a very classy atmosphere. You'll LOVE it!!

I'm joining in, too! We're headed to DW on Saturday and we can't wait!!! Great start...:goodvibes

Now we know we are in Disney World when we walk through the gates of Epcot!! We are total Epcot freaks & love this place!!! Here is why...World Showcase!!! Of course. :goodvibes

Slush from France and Altenmunster Oktoberfest from Germany
A greygoose slush? I forget. But it was so refreshing & I LOVED it!! J loved his German beer, to say the least!!
Picture768.jpg

^ yep, both get this:
tramp.jpg

This was a pineapple cocktail from Japan. We both enjoyed this creamy pineapple drink. It was very sweet so one was plenty for us to split.
Picture771.jpg

^ rated pretty high, but not our fav:
iasw_zps1c5759c5-1.jpg

While we were in the neighborhood, we walked to the top back of the Japan section of WS to try some QS. The outdoor seating area is perfect, it features a pretty waterfall & feels very private. We went w/ the chicken to split.

Teriyaki Chicken & Matcha Roll - green tea swirl cake
Picture772.jpg

J thought it was ok & ate it right up. I was not that thrilled w/ it. The sauce was very nice teriyaki & not too sweet. Again, I found the meat to be a bit chewy for my taste. I had one piece & ate some rice w/ veggies. Neither J or I enjoyed the matcha roll, however our little man sure liked it! He loves any kind of cake! :goodvibes To wrap it up, we enjoyed the lovely atmosphere & agreed we were happy we tried it. Keep in mind,I'm picky about my meats & I usually have a very small taste of the meat anyway. We'd eat there again in the future, but there are so many places in Epcot we have yet to try!! This meal gets:

Karamell-Küche

Picture784.jpg

Call us crazy but these are not the best caramel treats we have ever had. I just asked J what he thought of his caramel swirl & his reply? "It was ok".

For me the strawberry was good but the caramel made it really hard on the outside. [I know, it's a carmel shop ;)]
I enjoy the ones on the Ocean City MD boardwalk, @ Wockenfuss. I am spoiled by them & none can compare! The chocolate is much creamier & strawberry is so fresh!! Sry DW but they are just the most perfect chocolate covered strawberries on earth. On the boards they serve four or so on a stick. Only pic I could find:
wok2.jpg

But...since this is WDW we are talking about, let's rate our treats @ Karamell-Küche:

iasw_zps1c5759c5-1.jpg

I mean, how can we rate it less? This is still caramel & chocolate we are talking about! :rotfl: A day w/ decent candy is better than a day w/ none @ all!

 That's good! This wasn't my first review I've seen those glasses in in the past couple days. The other was 'Ohana and some other place, can't remember. I was just wondering if something changed in Disney since our last trip.

I believe you had the Parisian Cosmo slush (or something like that!). The grey goose looks like lemonade and the Grand Marnier slush is orange. :)

Yes, I have sampled them all many times!

Loving the pictures and reviews. Was that red slushie drink a Torontopolitan?
I had one during Food and wine and it looked like that. YUMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Joining in! And YUM! How did I not know a outs Poohs French toast? Dear lord, it was hard to read past that picture.....I'm so excited to try this! :worship:

I would have checked too, I'm w/ you on stuff like that. I like a real glass too.;) It's fancy but not stuffy. The atmosphere is clearly designed to enhance the view!!
Hi Maura!

I am in! Great pics so far and the rating system is funny!
Oh my gosh!!:rotfl: Do you like that Suze Orman? There was a conversation in our Nov FB group about what people will spend on a WDW vacation & of course it got silly!! I found that pic online & it was just...well, priceless!!!;)

I love it!!! :lmao::drinking1 I had read how good the lemon & orange ones were, but when I saw they had the red, I had to have it! I'm a fan of just about any fruit that is red!! Which one do you like best?
