Ah Epcot! The park we all hated when we were younger but have grown to love every step of it as we grow older. We got out of bed a little later than I'd hoped but it was much needed after we spend the previous night at the ESPN club watching the Red Sox. Sadly we lost the game but it was a good time as we met a lot of Sox fans from New England.

Ok where was I? Epcot, right...Our plan for epcot was to get to sorin ASAP to get fastpasses as we knew standby would be pushing 90mins this late in the morning. We were right and settled on FP's with a return time of early afternoon. Before leaving The Land Pavilion we decided to wait for living with the land as we didn't get around to it the previous trip. This was Jess's first time on the ride and probably my first in 5+ years. I have to say its a highly underrated and is a unique informative experience. Here's a few pictures I snapped on the ride:

After Living with the Land we figured we should have lunch at the land...I cant seem to find the pictures but I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid counter service option at Epcot. They allow you to choose any size for your fountain beverage (on the DDP) and for your desert they let you pick anything from their bakery. Even if your not on the DDP I would highly suggest stopping by the bakery as they had many different options.

After lunch we figured we would walk around and hit a few more of the big rides. We walked over to test track and noticed the standby line wasn't very long so we grabbed a fastpass and stood in the standby line to make it a double wamie. We liked this ride a lot as it mixes Disney's traditional theming with alittle speed and thrill.

Here's a couple pictures from the standby line:

Here's our picture on the ride (so scared):

We walked over to mission space but didn't feel like we needed to go on it again as we went on it last year. For anyone wondering if it was cause of motion sickness, it wasn't. We went on the Green side last year just to be safe and didn't feel sick in the slightest. We simply didn't feel like going on it and figured we could check out other rides we missed in our past trip.

One of these rides was nemo and friends. The ride itself is actually pretty poor, though I'm sure a lot of kids love it. Its basically a slow moving ride that goes through the aquarium tanks with projections of nemo and friends in the water. Its a cool concept I guess but it definitely didn't live up to the hype for me at least.

The next ride we went on was Honey I shrunk the Audience! This is a classic that I can remember loving as a kid. The snake gets me every time! We just missed the previous show so we waiting a good amount of time here but it was worth it as this was another ride we didn't get to go on during last years trip.

At this point we had made our way back to Soarin and enjoyed it as always. I wanted to make it a point to get over to innovations went and take advantage of the Free Disney Visa Card Meet and Great. This was another long line and took up a good chunk of time but IMO worth it. Here's a picture:

We had an early dinner ADR at Le Cellier and we didn't want to be late. Last year we tried to get in here but were out of luck for the duration of our stay. This year I booked all our ADR's at the 180 day mark to make sure we got all of the times and places we wanted. We liked this place a lot but thought the service was just ok. The restaurant is small and pack you in there pretty tightly. I think the larger the party you have the more room you will get as we were a party of two and were stuck literally 2 feet from another party. Here are the pictures:

Ok so thats it another day done! I hope you all liked. Ive been very busy the last couple of days but it looks like a big snowstorm tomorrow so I should be able to bang out DHS! After DHS we take the trip to DTD for a dinner at Raglan Road....Will an Italian and a French Canadian like Irish food? Find out tomorrow!!!!

Looks and sounds like a perfect Epcot day!! More great pictures! :thumbsup2 Isn't it ironic how your park favorites shift as you get older? Epcot and specfically World Showcase is now my favorite but certainly didn't use to be! Glad you enjoyed Le Cellier. That's one of my favorites too!

Thanks for the great pictures Kyle, the monorail picture is beautiful!
You are so right about EPCOT. I didn't understand the fuss my Mom used to make over that park. Now it's my favorite!

Looking forward to reading more!

We did enjoy Le Cellier but sadly if we don't do the DDP again I don't think we will be back as it is pretty expensive. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the compliment! I try to take a picture in that very spot every year but normally the monorail is incorporative.

Does anyone know where the Hot Air Ballons are located?

The Hot Air Balloons are in The Land pavilion, above Sunshine Seasons food court. I was eating there exactly 1 week ago today! I took that same picture, but yours is so much better than mine. Mine came out too dark. I'm really enjoying your report and photos. Keep up the good work!

You are correct! Thanks for jumping on board, sadly the snow kept me busy today so I didnt get a chance to do DHS....Look for it soon!

Thanks Kyle-
We are actually misplaced New Englanders, so it was no big loss. We've hoping for a great Pats season next year.
Great thread, BTW!

Ugh...LOL; leave it to a mod to get this thing back on track! I'm sorry for not updating this guys a lot has been going on! I went on vacation for a good portion of February and now I'm back home playing a lot of on-line poker considering I'm out of work.

But I promise I'm starting another chapter TODAY! It should be up by early evening! Thanks to ohmari to get my butt in-line!

MGM Aka. Disney's Hollywood Studio's. I'm sorry it will forever be MGM to me, DHS does make more sense but I'm sorry MGM just rolls off the tongue better.

So today we planned on getting here for rope drop because it of Toy Story Mania. This was the Newest Attraction in all of the parks so we knew going into today that we needed to get out early or else we would get snubbed on this highly entertaining ride.

We arrived at rope drop as planned and made it there with about 15mins to spare. The place was mobbed and we heard everyone talking and discussing how the best way to make it up to toy story mania is. Well if any of you haven't been yet there is really only 1 direct route to get to TSM. Not only is there just one way to navigate back there you are moving with about 2000 other people so just follow the leader. Here's a map on how to get there:

mgm-map.jpg

Our plan was to grab fast passes and hope in the stand by line. Well this quickly changed as we saw about 85% of the crowd going to standby. We opted to just grab fast passes and head back over to Hollywood Boulevard and hit the other two major attractions as many times as we could before our return time for TSM. This plan worked out great and HIGHLY suggest it as it worked perfectly. We managed to ride both Tower of Terror and Rock n Roll Roller coaster once (and grabbing another fast pass for Rock n Roll Roller coaster) before our 9:30am return time for TSM.

TSM: I enjoyed this ride a lot but I don't think it lived up to all the hype. Its extremely fun and the line Que is very interesting as you actually feel like your going to a carnival. The ride is a cool concept but really its just a more developed (technology wise not theming) buzz light ear space commander. Id say everyone needs to ride it just once but honestly its nothing worth fighting in the standby line for.

Well we were getting off the ride and talking to each other about it as we took the corner to go outside and BOOM! We were greeted with Congratulations you have won dream fast passes! I was so excited as this was our second trip and till this point we really didn't see anyone winning anything. I was convinced we weren't going to win anything cause all indications were most of the “Dreams” were given out during one of the first rides of the day. Here they are:

DSC_0241.jpg

Quick question to all you guys out there, if you won a dream fast pass would you use it? Ill save my comments on this till I hear back from a few of you guys.
After this we were off to catch the Beauty and The Beast Stage Show as its Jess's favorite Disney Movie and we weren't able to squeeze it into our last trip. Here's a few pictures from that:

After this show we really took it easy as we had saw everything we wanted to in about 3-4 hours. We skipped a ton but we did the majority of the other stuff last year. We hit up a couple more rides including a couple from the Dream Fast passes including another Ride on ToT and RnRcc. We also hit the Great Movie ride as its truly one of my favorite attractions is all of WDW. I know this probably surprises a lot of you but I love that ride. Ive always loved Film and actually have my college degree in it so for the obvious reason it just really connects well with me. Making a quick stroll through Walt's one man dream we decided to call it an early day as tonight we knew was going to be a late night out JELLY ROLLS. Before leaving we found another couple on the way into the park and gave them our fast passes for Rock N Roller coaster. Here are some pictures we took with the photopass photographers while walking around:

Tonight we had early ADR's at Raglan Road. This was one of our gambles this trip as we are both more traditional American eaters rather than traditional Irish eaters. Non the less we opted to stay with them and trust the loyal members here on the DIS and made the trip to DTD. I just realized today I completely slack on pictures so sorry for majority of boring text.

We arrived early as always and was told it would be about 15 minutes before the table would be ready. OK no worries we of course hit up the bar! The bar in this place is beautiful! It was a pleasure having a beer and a chat with the great bartender. She allowed us to sample (for free) a couple beers till we found one that we liked. 1 beer quickly turned into 2 as our table wasn't ready yet but soon after getting served our second one they called our name.

The restaurant was very large and was decorated with authentic furniture etc. Our waitress was very nice and actually was a college student from our home state. This was one thing that didn't make sense to me as neither the bartender nor waitress wasn't from Ireland? Oh well onto the the food...The was surprisingly very very good. Jess had the Posh Pan Chicken and I have Kevin's Heavenly Ham. I recommend anyone to give this place a try if your looking for something different and a nice change of pace to the normal “Disney hustle”.

As I said before we went to the Board walk tonight for both a chance to watch the Red Sox and hit Jelly Rolls. We walked by Jelly Rolls around 8 and found it to be empty so we opted to go and watch the Red Sox for a little while at the ESPN zone for the 3rd time this trip. It was rather funny (and cool) to see the same die hard fans in the same seats every time we showed up. We hung around for a little while but the place was jammed as the game already started and we were unable to get a seat. We walked about the Boardwalk and watched a few street performers before making our way back to Jelly Rolls around 9ish.

This was the first trips to Jelly Rolls we have made. If your a regular around the Dis I'm sure you all know about Jelly Rolls. This is an extremely popular dueling piano bar that on most nights gets filled with people looking for a fun “adult” night out. We loved it and will definitely be worked into our next trip.

OK, again I'm sorry for the lack of pictures during this chapter! As I look forward to the next I see a lot of good pictures from our second trip to Epcot! I want to thank everyone for sticking with me and Ill Definitely stick with this and keep hammering out chapters as I can.

Stay away from the on-line poker, it just eats your money, unless you are playing for free.

I just looked where you lived, sorry about your job.
I don't know what kind of work you do, but look into state or federal jobs.

Well on-line poker has treated me very well considering ( I haven't had a losing month in 5 months) It gets a very bad wrap because 90% of people that play "think" they know what they are doing cause they saw it on tv or read a book. Reality is its more complex than that, you simply cant deposit money on there and play and expect to win cause u beat your friends at home.

Ya its rough out there, I have a degree in Communications focusing on video/film. Ive applied to many state jobs but no luck so far. Thanks for the encouragement though!

I just finished reading your report and it's really great. All of the pictures was awesome and food are yummy. :thumbsup2

Have a nice day everyone. :)
