A Tale of Two Sisters: Off to Explore the World! Jan '14 - Updated 8/25!

Your PTR was on page 3, I had to fix that.

Oh and I second (or third), keep your dates!

Transportation to DTD is bad. I don't know about pop but it just seems like you can sit there forever! DQ is not that exciting to me. We went a few years ago and it is fun but unless you LOVE video games it was a waste of time

You must let me know about Ohana. We have dinner there the next night.

We are hitting Epcot on our arrival day and doing either the cape may seafood buffet or garden grill. Still debating between them!

Your first day looks fun! Ours will be boring with a grocery run and a fun visit to guest relations for a TiW and possibly a GAC for my mom

I like video games but would never pay the admission fee for DQ. I heard from another person (can't quite recall who) that they got a free admission to DQ through their package. If it's not in our package, we'll definitely skip it.

If we are coming from the MK, I think we'll use the TTC and go to a resort closer to DTD and take the boat or bus from there. It might be faster in the long run. If we end up coming from Pop, we'll just have to take the bus.

I can tell you right now: it is great! I ate there last Sept. on my first solo trip to WDW and I loved the food but the dessert WAS SPECTACULAR. I ate nearly the whole thing (and regretted it later). The Polynesian is GORGEOUS and the boat ride over was so relaxing and I got some really good photos.

Just caught up!
Wooo! Sooo much awesomeness in day 1!

:thumbsup2

I know in May we received 2 admission tickets to DQ. We didn't use them as we were there on too short of a trip.

We did the luau show at the Poly and loved it! I guess the food is similar to Ohana? We were all set to stay at the Poly this trip in January, but I refuse to pay that amount of money and have construction going on. I guess I am just spoiled

I had considered the luau but I read and heard some not so great reviews about it. Also, the seating for the DDP isn't good either. Another reason, I'd probably not do HDDR on the DDP either.

Just caught up, Cristabel! I see you're already doing itinerary planning, woohoo!

News flash - I changed dates. I'll be arriving at Pop on 27 Jan afternoon / evening. I might see you checking out or something ;)

Nice to see you got all of your desired ADRs! I do not. Woe is me. I decided on last minute that I want to have a couple of TS. But of course, by then, I've missed my 180 + 10 days window :sad2: The restaurants are available tho, but not the desired hours. I'm fussy like that.

I really really really want an 8am ADR for Tusker House. Lucky you!!

I see you have AK as your first full-day park, like me!

Yeah, I heard DTD transportation is a nightmare. Not gonna stop me from going either. Only, we're going on our non-park day to avoid feeling 'rushed'.

Anyway, looking forward to reading more! :thumbsup2

With much disappointment I regret to inform you all that my trip has been canceled/postponed.

My priorities need to be sorted out for my future. Sadly this trip is on the backburner for now but I know when the time is right, it will be a great trip.

Thank you for reading :flower3:

Cristabel, I'm so sorry to hear that  But you're absolutely right. When the time comes, it will be fantastic. How's Anais handling it? :flower3:

I think my dad was going to tell her but if not ill tell her when she gets back. My parents and Anais went to wedding this weekend so I probably won't see them until tomorrow night of Monday.
