A Tale of Two Sisters: Off to Explore the World! Jan '14 - Updated 8/25!

I stayed at ASMu in January 2012 and we never shared buses with the other two resorts. We only shared the ME from the airport.

That could very well be the case during our trip as well but after looking at the map of the entire WDW resort I saw that the All Star resorts are FARRR from everything else. I know Pop isn't exactly central but we are closer to the parks.

Just started reading some fellow January 2014 PTRs! Following! Hope you have a magical trip!

What fun sister trip you have planned. I have heard Jan is great time to go. We will be there the opposite of down time...Christmas

Yeah, our trip is weird spreading over two different weeks, but it minimizes the time Anais has to be out of school so it works for us. I just wish we could stay longer...and I'll probably push for another day as time goes by

That's why I'm waiting until late November, early December to book our airfare because once that's locked in, everything else is pretty much set in stone.

Hi!!! I got all excited reading your title....ADVENTURE TIME!!! I am kind of jumping ahead of myself with my PTR but my first choice for our costumes for MNSSHP was Fiona for me and Jake for Brian but I waited too long to get his Jake costume and its been all sold out. I haven't been able to find anything good but was able to snag my now favorite shirt (totally going fangirl nerdy)...

I can't wait to read more about your trip. That is so awesome that you are taking your little sister! Big for being an amazing big sis!!!

Congrats to on getting in to walking/running. RunDisney is a great way to get in to it. I wish they could do an obstacle race over on this Coast. My pipe dream is to do all of the RunDisney races in a single year.

PS. loving the Photoshop. I have Elements but haven't had time to really play with it at all.

Congrats on starting the marathon training program. I actually started planning my trip as a marathon trip since I was going to run the 10k that sold out in record time. Now just cheering on some friends. Looks like you're well on the way to getting your trip paid off.

Today was not a good training day; my feet were hurting and my calves were really tight. I ended up only doing 3 out of the 4 miles I was supposed to do.

Airfare is an additional cost but I'd rather wait on buying that until we get closer to our trip. I'd hate to buy non-refundable airfare for the both of us and something happens where Anais can't go or we have to push back our trip by a day or whatever. Flexibility is key! My current timeline to buy our airfare tickets would be the end of October/beginning of November.

Totally agree on airfare. I'll be coming from Indonesia for our Feb 2014 trip, and I'd definitely wait on buying! Heard too many bad stories of people being unable to move dates and get promo because they've bought their non-refundable plane tickets.

We'll see what happens in this next year. I really want to be able to do the half if I really want to but that will require a lot of dedication and self-discipline. We'll see if I really want it!

Thursday, January 23th
We have a 5pm ADR at Ohana and 6:20 pm at Teppen Edo. WE aren't sure what we doing that day so we have a back up plan.

1/23 - Ohana at 7:50pm
We arrive at MCO around 4pm so this will give us enough time to take ME to Pop, check-in, find our room and make our way over to MK and the Poly. Amazing how no Free Dining frees up a lot of ADR times. Last year when I went in September, there were no openings at all, even at my 180 date. I planned it so hopefully we can see Wishes from Ohana.

1/24 - Animal Kingdom
Donald's Safari breakfast @ 8:15am
I made sure to get a pre-park opening time so we don't waste valuable park time eating AND we can make it to Kilimanjaro Safaris first thing after we eat. We are both big animal lovers and zoo-people. I love the San Diego zoo so the AK is awesome like that but on steroids'

We might see you on Friday, January 24th, we have the same reservation at the Tusker House. We will be a party of 8 if my DH agrees to go to AK with my sister's family that day. Right now him and DD are saying we are passing AK this trip but I do have a ADR just in case.

1/25 - Disney's Hollywood Studios
Choosing a place here was kind of tough because nothing really stands out to me. In the end I chose Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater because Anais really loved it and still talks about it, 7 years later.

Saturday, January 25th is our departure day and we have ARD for the Crystal Palace. We always spend our day at MK on departure day.

I love AK and if I were to bypass any park it would probably be DHS. It's a lot like DCA but thankfully I don't have to skip any parks
