A style we're unaccustomed to: DXDD & Platinum!! UPDATE-OLIVIAS, WGP & FINAL THOUGHTS

Let me begin by saying, “Yay!!!” It has been 4 long, eventful years since we have been to our Magic Place and we can’t wait until we get there tomorrow! We typically are on a shoestring budget, but my brother, whom I will call “Commando Ed,” is paying for most of this trip and he is wanting to “do it up right” for my Mama, so we are on DXDD for the trip except for a 1 day platinum package in the middle. Our group (we are all Florida Residents with AP’s) includes:

DS Chris – 24 years old, recent college grad (finally, whoo!!) and first year teacher. Not a thrill rider, but loves Disney food! Of course, I don't think our Weight Watcher's leader is gonna think this trip's meals are on plan!

DM Olde Koot – just had her 76th birthday and calls me every day to give me the countdown. She loves to hang out at WDW and her favorite thing is, “everything except rides!” She is tiny, but eats all day long!

DB Commando Ed - is recently turned 57 and had major open heart surgery in July. He is all about the “thrills” and loves all things Disney, especially the food. He and I are signed up for the Disney 5K in January and his goal is the Food & Wine ½ Marathon in October. He is my Hero right now!

DC – My little cousin is 30 she “went to Disney” a year and a half ago with her parents. They did Epcot in 1 day and AK in one day and really thought they had seen everything! Lol She is a thrill rider! She is busy eating right now to make sure she weighs the 100 pounds required for the Segway tours!

PureTcrazy – That’s me! I love Disney at a laid-back, stop & smell the flowers pace! I’m 48 and I am not a thrill rider! Taking a break from Weight Watcher's this week! I have always been a tad on the crazy side and this has been verified recently when I agreed to do the 5K with DB, which means a January trip ahead!! Did I tell you that I really love Disney?

Work was soooo hard today, I was already mentally at WDW! Then I get home to find out that DS cannot find his suit coat. How do you lose your suit? Went to my Mom's and she's freaking out about what and how she has packed, we start repacking. I am so ready for Disney!

We have eaten at Boma, H&V, HBD, Boatwrights, Kona, Ohana, Chef's de France, Le Cellier, 1900 Park Fare, WGP, House of Blues, Spoodles, Big River Brewery. Of all of those, WGP, Kona, Boma and Chef's were wonderful! Spoodles and Le Cellier were our biggest disappointments.

I am trying not to have over-the-top expectations, but I am so excited about V&A's and CG. I have seen at least a million reviews and food porn pics of these restaurants and now I will get to experience them myself!

I know I should be doing my own freaking out about my packing, but at this point I just want to sit and enjoy the anticipation for a few more minutes!

The bags are packed and DB, DM and DS's bags are loaded in the car! We never found my son's suit, so Thank Goodness my friend's DH is close in size and loaned him one! My lil cuz will be here shortly and we will load mine in her car, so we will be ready to pull out at 8:00 am!

I am so glad y'all are joining us on this trip! We will have one laptop with us and I will try to update each night, but my DB is with RAD-P and will also be posting and my DS is kind of a nerdy young man, so I'll be fighting for time!!

Thanks for the link PureT. Ran some numbers yesterday, and our reservation has officially been changed. Now I have to actually go buy a jacket for V&A, since my old suit is too small. Luckily I have until September.

We stayed at Royale Parc 2br last nite and it is awesome! Large rooms, gated courtyard, pool, hot tub, free breakfast and happy hour. 125 per nite. It's next to Old Town.

Up and ready to head to WL! It was a late nite at MK and it was packed! Rode 2 of my favorites, CoP and wedway people mover! The msep was gorgeous. Saw Tink, but fireworks were mostly through trees. Just too tired to fight crowd.

I'll be SO glad to get onsite! I can't wait to see WL. I am going to try to post some pics today, if I can get to the laptop! Epcot today then Osborne lights after supper.at YM. Can't wait to try that steak!!

Yachtsm*n's was AWESOME! CP before park opening best idea ever! Tony's zuchini fries!!! Yum! Tiramisu wow! DS loved the special cheesecake, peppermint/chocolate! Artist point in a a couple hours.

We were met by Demetrious at GF check in! He informed us that we had been upgraded to Sugarloaf Concierge! I cried!

Too cold for FW segway. Massage...OMG. VA's was beautiful,lavish and we felt very pampered.we missed the cruise. We did see them from our GF balcony though!Change of plans, room service breakfast in the morning.ATW segway, aqua seas, cirque and fultons. I'm tired,

What massage did you get? Could you choose between different ones, or is there one 'staple' massage that comes with Platinum?

Hope you enjoy Cirque. My wife and I say it two years ago and loved it. Make sure you get there early to see the clowns!

@zife loved cirque! You can choose a facial, mani/pedi or 50 minute swedish massage. It was heaven!

Fulton's was awesome! Had Gf room service breakfast, what a luxury! Segway and aqua seas was great!

Changed cape may to a later time to capts grill. Best breakfast on wdw so far!Brown derby was outstanding, but more on that later.

Tusker house this morning and Y and Y for lunch were both good. Fixing to get ready for cali grill.

Rough day for me today.kinda lost some magic, but I'll post more on that later.
