A stupid question...just how exactly are you supposed to wash pantyhose??

When my DH does laundry, yes I'm spoiled. He puts them in a mesh bag to wash and hangs to dry. He used to put them in the dryer but they didn't seem to hold up as well after that. I find that if I buy better brands of hose they hold up longer than the cheaper ones.

Yep, mine go in the washer too, but I usually hang them to dry.

Well, just to be different!

I throw mine in the washing machine on a low temperature wash - that's if I haven't got ladders and holes in them first of course! I just stretch them a little whilst damp and throw them over a radiator/rack till dry.

I know you should hand wash them but it works for me!

The mail order is L'eggs, Hanes, Bali outlet. I think if you do a search under one hanes place it will come up. Their definition of imperfect, is slightly crooked seams, etc. So don't worry that it will be the wrong shade, or had a run in it already, etc. They also stock bras and undies, pjs, sweats, slippers, etc.

I'm another one that uses a lingerie bag in the washer if I wear a lot of them. I used to wear hose most days to work, but now we're business casual. So if I'm only washing one pair, I just throw it in the washer and hang it on the rod to dry (I have a shelf w/ rod right above my washer, so the water drips into the washer). They probably don't last as long, but I'm not wearing them as long anymore.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but I'm not going through the whole thread to find out. I never wash mine in the sink. I have a mesh lingerie bag, that i throw em in(if you don't have 1 of those you can use a pillow case). I stick it in with whatever's being washed and they come out just fine.

As for 6 bucks a pair, you should look around for multpile packs, like 2-3 pairs per pack. They are out there you just gotta look. I usually by mine at a Hanes outlet store in Rehoboth beach where there are packs of 6-10 pairs. easier on the wallet.

They sell bottles of pantyhose cleaning stuff at CVS or a local drug store..then you can wash them in the sink.

I just buy the cheap ones and toss em. If I didnt have them for very long, I will wear them twice..but I guess my answer is I dont!

(My mom once told me about the bottle when she found out I just toss them. She was shocked, so she bought me a bottle for xmas. This was 6 years ago and the bottle is full!LOL!)
