Great job Ed! I had a nightmare last night and tried to run and realized I'm so out of shape, I probably couldn't run even if my life depended on it!

Today was the Tinkerbell half marathon at DL. I think it just ended.

Ed, congrats on your wonderful accomplishment, mentally and physically. I am sorry for the pain you feel in regards to your Dads struggle as well as the loss of him physically here with you. Such a blessing you felt his presence as you ran. Thank you for sharing.

I have not done well keeping up with threads, but having met you Ruthie, I feel the need to be here. I will catch up again on the others Such as Kathy and Marks.

When the weather turned really cold here Jan 1st ( temps in the 30's at night ) it knocked me to my knees ..I couldn't stand up straight for 4 days it got better I was able to go back to work for 3 days and then down for the count for another 3 days I never bothered looking at accuweather reports but I now follow it faithfully and am taking no chances..I was wearing 6 layers a few nights ago to go to work....waddling around like Donald Duck but thank God I have been fine

This is also why I haven't been around really because I have been working a LOT another blessing so I appreciate you all being here and being patient

I still want to update the trip from Nov for our anniversary, Christmas at POP and dinner at Chef Mickey's that night BUT if you noticed the ticker I am taking a reprieve from work and need some time to s l o w down, and really reflect and count my blessings for all that has happened in the past year and how much has gone right despite all the struggles

Not sure if I will spend any time in the parks, doubt it not what these 2 days are about, ( just EPCOT for Garden Grill dinner) I'll of course go back & forth to take care of the animals but if the weather clears up & gets warmer again I want to just hang out in a hammock at CSR Also looking forward to trying a new ( to me) breakfast at BW Going to Kouzinna Heard Cat Cora's sweet potato hash is wonderful...that sold me !

So remember I was planning to run that 1/2 marathon next month, and Ed & I were talking about it a few posts ago ? Well I just spent about a 1/2 hour on the run disney website deferring my fees to next year ..apparently this can be done and had I been a little more diligent in checking things out the fee would have been $40 because I wasn't it just cost me $70.... that's not the lousy part of it though I had to PAY that fee & the cost upfront to register for a total of $180. ....it will now take 4 to 6 weeks to get back the original money I paid You better believe I will be doing that race if I have to do this to pull it off :









and then because I never got over to the marathon expo I decided to check out eBay for a run disney in training shirt for the princess for 2015 and all I came up with after a search used my words was THIS ...... hope it's not a sign......crap..... ( It's good to laugh ! )

I think that could work. I'm not sure what time we will get to AK, my brother & SIL are not morning people. I updated on that day in my PTR this morning and also did an update on my TR.

They are sending us home so I'm out of here! Hope it's not too bad yet.

I'm finally home. It took me 2 1/2 hours to drive what should have taken me 20 minutes. I had to park at the bottom of my subdivision but I was making it home no matter what for the doggies. Luckily a Good Samaritan was driving people home in his SUV and he gave me a ride. Jim is still out there. He left at the same time I did and is only half way home. I hope he makes it home OK.

My daughter said it was a little longer for her to get home. She is also in Atlanta and to go 22 miles was 4 hours.

Yep, it's a total mess in Atlanta right now! They just declared a State of Emergency for Georgia. My DH is still not home, he's been on the road for 6 1/2 hours and is about 5 miles from home. Probably going to be another couple of hours for him!

Sorry! Didn't mean to worry you! I thought I had posted everywhere but I missed coming back to your thread. He finally made it home right before 8 pm. He was on the road almost 8 hours! We are both home today, my work is closed and Jim is working from home.

As you know I checked into CSR this morning, the only request I ever ever make ...and of course I know there are no guarantees, is for an early check in

Working the 3rd shift and being in the area so exhausted I always like to get in there take a nap settle in and start the day refreshed Its never been a problem at POP before but then again POP is NOT a convention resort

Yes there are conventions going on and it almost didn't happen I was so afraid if I had to drive home I would fall asleep on the road If they didn't find a room I would have taken a nap in the parking lot I really would have I am thrilled to say one was found and boy did they take care of me I'll take pictures of course I've never stayed there that room is gorgeous If I had unlimited finances I would have a bedroom like that right down to the color palette The location I got would be perfect for going in the pool I realize we're not dealing with snow but boy its the dark gray misty off and on again rain day that makes you just want to hunker down with a good book or watch a movie which I fully intend to do after the ADR that I will NOT miss

After I booked our week at the VGF, we couldn't get a flight that arrived on our check in date, so we decided to come in a day earlier and stay at CSR for a night.

I hope that we can get together while we're out there. Paula is going to be there the same time we are. We've already tentatively scheduled a trip to TPC, and we should set up a time to catch dinner (unless you are working so much again), otherwise we can set up another time to get together. Have a great time on your mini vacay!

Are you freakin kidding me there is NO way my 2 best buds are coming from CA and we wouldn't get together Just give me the dates asap and I guarantee you I will not be working when you are here I would love to meet Paula and ? ....forgot her spouses' name TPC I am running over there tomorrow we put a BIG fig Pluto on layaway for my Christmas present and still haven't picked him up..speaking of isn't there a pin with my name on it you need to pack just a friendly reminder ......haven't gotten to your PTR will do that soon I promise

Our dates are May 28th through June 5th. The first and last dates are pretty much throw aways as they are travel days. I did put you on our reservation for 1900 Park Fare for dinner on the 29th in case you wanted to join us.

You are also welcome to join us for dinner in the room on either Friday or Saturday nights. Nothing fancy, but we would enjoy your company if you chose to join us. Paula's other half is "Jo". Really sweet gal. I met them both last trip.
