Not a milestone birthday, 59, but considering the years ups & downs it was one to celebrate and that was with a dinner at 1900 Park Fare

Did I announce my BD on the ADR ?, you bet I did, did I wear a BD button ? Better than that I had a BD ribbon that had been in the family for a few years & it was pretty different...fuss over me I want you to

But first I needed to go find a camera and head home for a few hours...hmmm? Wal-Mart ? Target? Best Buy? ended up finding the best buy at ...well...Best Buy not a bad little camera it would serve its purpose until I could get one close to what I really wanted so on to dinner....




looking at the time I have to be a brat here & leave the rest of this until tomorrow....work tonight..

Well Alison & Fran I'm glad you are home but so sorry you are sick poor babies, maybe now that you are home you can get on a saner schedule & start to feel better...glad I didn't get sick or maybe I haven't slowed down enough for any illness to catch me

I have not had a day off since we last saw each other and am thrilled to be working a LOT you made me laugh with what you said ( I bolded in your post) I wish I could accomodate you but if I don't keep moving here you will be back in FL and I STILL won't be done Akershsus no I guarantee you and Fran do not want to have dinner there

Its against the law to do character meals sans camera didn't you know at least it should be...the temporary camera I picked up will probably go to DGS as soon as the next one comes Tracked it this morning up for delivery tomorrow feels like Christmas Eve Can't wait to play with the new toy

Ruthie, it looks like a spectacular birthday dinner. I love all the pictures...so much fun.

Lady Tremaine thought it " quite unacceptable that your Prince
is not here with you " she "pardoned him" when told he was
working to be able to keep our castle....she is quite stunning isn't
she ?

The sisters were a riot and reminded me of a few of my sisters
trying to out do each other Which ever one is in the green decided
to sing a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday ...several actually
( she even asked if it would be okay with me) , played it up
real good screeching out high notes in a shrill I honestly looked
around expecting glasses to break like in that old
" Is it live or is it Memorex ? " commercial

Prince Charming was okay did the obligatory picture and then
kept flirting with very young ladies in their 20's Poor Cinderella
I see trouble in your future with THIS one It was quite funny

Cinderella was terrific kept coming back and calling me " M'Lady" extremely sweet too bad not a great picture but was grateful someone at the next table kept taking them for me ( I of course did same for them )

The other sister in red ( I can never get their names straight ) appears to be having a very serious conversation with me in the
picture For the life of me can't say about what BUT she is the one
that huffed after my waiter SEVERAL times, can you imagine ? breaking character in the nicest of ways, she is also the one who got that
" My special day at 1900 Park..... and presented it to me" and
also corralled him into doing the BD cupcake She almost made me cry

The food was terrific I would do dinner there again anytime
for food atmosphere and character interaction

(...the only negative in this dinner was the server...very inattentive,
I don't require much but c'mon be there sometime.ask me if I need anything..he probably figured solo diner, lousy tip....self fulfilling
prophecy he got what he should have from me ) I have been
a waitress & a barmaid I KNOW how to tip, people who have worked
in the industry tend to over tip...this guy blew it for himself...his loss

I hadn't been inside the GF since last Christmas Season, an annual must do to see the life sized gingerbread house being made so prior to dinner I decided to walk around take it all in I am mostly a Ft Wilderness or POP Century 50's bldg kind of guest so I wanted to see It is a truly beautiful place even without Christmas decorations
Took some pictures in the lobby, enjoyed the pianist, the band, and then ventured upstairs and out on the balcony it was raining but WDW looked beautiful..to my surprise with the No Smoking at Resorts rule this balcony is a DSA little smokeless ashtray on the table tops ..I still felt like a criminal though













Had a great time, so this wraps up my birthday trip to WDW, I had checked out today and am heading home..you know that point in your trip home, even from work where you see that tree or restaurant or whatever landmark you have and you sigh because you are almost there? Well here in my area which I jokingly, and I say lovingly, refer to as Green Acres or Mayberry or even Petticoat Junction this is my almost home spot...love WDW but LOVE seeing this, a few miles from OUR castle

We have had breakfast at Akershus every trip. I think we'll stick with breakfast.

It looks like you had a blast at 1900! We had never been there before, but we had our last WDW dinner there this trip.

As a DisMeet is not officially recognised as having been completed without the objective evidence…….

I have sone great pics from Cape May. Almost nothing but food pron from the cookout. I succeded incapturing the food but hardly any people I hope PIO did better with that. I will send when I am home and recovered from Atlanta. Webhave been here jus over 24 hours and have been in three bars and a rehearsal!

I haven't even gotten round to looking at those pictures yet!!!! I *think* I took some pictures; but I'm really not sure.

We LOVE. 1900 park fair! Some of the best times are with the "steps". The best part of visiting GF is smelling the gingerbread at Christmas time! Have a wonderful day!

I over-reacted about the camera, it still makes me sad but I got a new one which I will have great fun learning later tonight I did have a blast at 1900 and recommend it to everyone My family & I have wonderful memories of breakfast there but this was the first experience with dinner Have moved it way up on the list of must do
