Hello all, got a little side tracked here so let's go back to arrival day at POP...Wed 9/4 checked in early early am no issues with Magic Band, bought breakfast, went to room, went home to put some lovin on the kids and hang out with them until late afternoon/early evening Had an ADR scheduled for 8 pm at 1900 Park Fair for the Happily Ever After Dinner Had only had breakfast there many many years ago Went back to POP showered and sat down on the bed, let me just close my eyes for " a minute" Did I make it to the ADR If you know my pattern from the last trip What do you think ??


I won't keep you in " suspense " If you're like me and read a LOT of TRs this is not worthy to be a cliff hanger so No I did not make the first ADR of my plan I woke up after " just resting my eyes for a few minutes" approx 6 hours later The clock read 00:11 hours I was disoriented, still sleepy, and hungry It also dawned on me why WDW has the $10 no show/no cancel before 24 hours policy, I didn't show maybe I kept someone else ( another solo ? ) from an ADR For shame on me, I didn't care it was worth the sleep and the fee Set the alarm for 5:30 and was determined to carry on with the rest of the plans

Thurs 9/5 Pluto is 83 today I will go meet him & wish him Happy Birthday but first my goal is to meet Merida Never have and missed her coronation a few months prior Thurs is AM EMH MK and I will get there This night also is the Akershus ADR at 8 PM Plan spend few hours MK, go home, dogs horse etc and NOT repeat last nights foolishness...I am well rested this SHOULD work out


Thurs 9/5 alarm goes off at 05:30 ...cell phone alarm also goes off at 05:30 wakeup call on phone comes through at 05:30 I forget which character woke me up I am taking NO chances Jump up take shower, out the door, head to POP classic hall, go to front desk talk to a very nice CM spreads some pixie dust and my missed ADR is rescheduled for tomorrow Fri 9/6 my actual BD at ...you guessed it 8 pm I question whether this will still be covered by DDP as I am checking out tomorrow morning Apparently I do not read the paperwork explaining the DDP YES it is covered the day you check out you have until midnight GREAT on with the day

You already saw the pictures of my next stop taken at Everything POP gift shop this morning ( the Pluto BD display ) so now I grab coffee and a quick snack, don't even remember what it was and head to the bus stop I debated whether to take the bus or the car I HATE the fact that POP bus stop is # 18 at the MK which puts it last in the line A LONG walk at the end of the day

Then I reason, someones resort has to be last, and since I am wide awake and not staying very many hours the walk when I leave won't kill me and off I go Arrived very quickly to MK...felt very weird not to arrive at TTC and take the ferry over I always go by car and love the castle coming into view, but today I had those 2 goals and I was determined to be the first one in Merida's line She appears at 9:15 ...MK fall look



LOVE this time of year at MK...gets me very excited for the Holidays Killed some time in New Fantasyland area met Ariel ( pics later ) and then went over to Merida's M & G area YES first on line probably about 40 minutes early but worth it Spent time talking to CMs in the area and then about 1/4 to 9 more and more people showing up for the M & G by the time they opened with a cute opening ceremony the line was already heading down to the castle I was glad I went with the plan Going to MNSSHP this Oct ( with PIO and her family ) I don't want to spend precious time in character M & G that can be found normally in the parks ( thanks kenny the pirate for this little tip ) So I met her and she is absolutely beautiful Right down to her Scottish accent I got the biggest hug when I told her that my maternal Grandfather was born in Glasgow and that even though I love the Princesses I am partial to her and the great role model she is to young girls and women...none of this wait around with your life until " Some day my Prince will come" nonsense !

Why am I not surprised you slept through your ADR? That made me laugh. Loved all of the pictures you posted before with Pluto!

The pumpkin picture got me sooooo excited for my trip in one month. I can't wait to see all of the Halloween decorations in person.

Awesome that you got to meet Merida. I just don't have the patience to wait in long lines for a character meet when I can be on a ride.

So on my front, I was checking WDW site everyday to see about Magic Bands and nothing. Then on Thursday, there it was! So now I'm stressing about the rides I picked. Like I needed something else to worry about on my trip. I ended up picking green for my color cause it's my favorite. Eventually I want to get all of the colors. Jim went with blue. I was surprised, I thought he would be boring and pick grey. Oh, and my DME package came yesterday. This trip is finally starting to feel real!

Today, we stopped at CVS because Jim wanted some chips that he can only find there. I usually sit in the car while he runs in but today I decided to check out the Halloween stuff. I put together little gifts for some of my "kids". The kids all belong to my cousins or friends of the family. Very glad I went in with him, look what I found!



I see a trip to CVS in your future!

Scottish Heritage!!

My paternal Great Grandfather emigrated to Jersey City from Scotland (Edinborough, I think) when he was 3. The story is that all he could/would say is "I'm goin' ta Emericay" He grew up into quite a character too, according to family stories.

I may have to schedule some Merida time too.

No I wasn't surprised when I slept through the ADR...will I never learn when I check in after a work day I should plan on nothing except a day at the pool Although I would probably fall asleep poolside and roll right off a chaise lounge and SPLASH considering I was up since 8 pm the previous night, no it should have been a no brainer ...silly me Magic Bands : from what I understand , and of course this could change, once you get one you keep it for future trips, If it needs to be replaced ( ie-your plan to collect all the colors) there will be a charge..unsure what that is Hey wait , where DID I put that thing ?? uh oh ! Hi Ruth ( answered your email ) The pumpkins are for you too ! YES you would enjoy meeting her Scottish heritage my " Pop-Pops " mothers father I think he was older I wish I had the story I do know he was one of about 10 kids and the rest stayed there I plan to do a research into that side of the family The Italian side I know a lot about and some facts/stories I would never put here

I love tangled and brave for depicting strong female roles.....I would like to think that even though my girls are little princesses, they will go with these types as role models!!!!

Now if I had a little girl in my life I would introduce Merida & Rapunzel every way I could over the " other Princesses" ....nah just kidding My kids weren't into the Princesses at all, of course this was long before the dresses were available & BBB was unheard of I just went with mostly gender neutral toys, books, movies, etc they had the occasional doll and fire truck but they also saw me in a typical male dominated field for the time period growing up and they ended up more than fine Extremely self-sufficient

I once again interrupt my report for this: so in my search for Vampire Pluto I abandoned my pets and did not come straight home from work I went to 2 CVSs with no luck and thought Hey maybe that super Wal-Mart I love so much no luck there either But something caught my eye and it was marked down from $ 24.95 to $8.00

That is what I think of the horse toilet paper holder. If I had been drinking anything at the time I think my keyboard would have been ruined!! I guess I got you back for "making" me buy the Pluto pin. Did you get your pin? Mine came in this huge Disney box and for a minute I couldn't figure out what the heck I had ordered. Of course that's not an uncommon occurance with me.
