Oww I replied to all of these messages but the must've been deleted when the Dis went down last week!

I've heard of it, but have never seen it. Not sure if we get it here or not.

Don't get sucked in!! I always vowed never to watch Love Island, then I watched on episode with some friends and I got hooked :rotfl:

Katie! How could you?!?!?!? :sad2:

I know aren't I awful :sad2:

So... excuse my ignorance. How is that done? Do they just place hot stones on top, or under (or both) and leave them? Or do they move them around? Or?

A bit of both! they'll move them around but sometimes they'll stick them between your toes

Interesting. I've never seen a burger with crumbled cheese.

Me neither, we couldn't find the grater :rotfl2:

I'll tell you how. As I've actually had it happen to me.
When I was very little... probably... 6? or thereabouts? I was riding up an escalator with my mom. I had runners that were too big for me on. (You'll grow into them.) For whatever reason, I pressed one of my shoes up against the riser of the step I was on. Because... I don't know why. Just a kid experimenting with things, I suppose. Anyways, my shoe was bent at the toes at a 90 degree angle (because they were too big, remember?) When the escalator arrived at the top, it neatly easily chopped off the first inch or so of the shoe. Luckily, my toes weren't there.

So... don't press your shoe up against the riser. Just... don't.

Oh my goodness you are lucky to be alive!!!

That's really great of them. :) And how it should be.

Their customer service has been top notch!

So that means it was either good or bad, right? ;)

Yes correct.

My eye caught REO Speedwagon.
You take it on the run, baby!

Unfortunately I have no idea what this is

That is so sweet. It' snice when they do suprise us like that every once in awhile.

I know :lovestruc but I was so happy with a valentines card I'm now worried I've set the bar too low :rotfl:

It def has sounded like Universal has been doing a good job accomidating folks.

They were great with us!

I love this pink sparkle nail polish!

Thank you! Much better than the polish I managed to throw on as I was running out the door, smearing it as I put my socks on

Soooo, something similar happened to me once, but not this severe. Those teeth, as you found from Google, can really be awful.
The something similar that happened to me was the front tip of my shoe got caught too far forward on one of the steps, and it lifted the upper step up enough to cause the entire escalator to do an emergency stop. Oops. Fortunately, it was in a store that was uncrowded at the time, and my shoe did not get completely stuck like the one in The Land.

Whoever's shoe that is was fortunate they did not get injured. How embarrassing to happen in such a crowded place. Also, I wonder if they got their shoe back or what happened for their footwear.

You poor thing that sound s traumatising, ugh I hate escalators now! Haha I didn't even think about what happened to the person after the incident, hope fully Disney gave them a shoe :rotfl:

I'm also a Hufflepuff!

WOOOO

tumblr_m4vjobYRbG1qj3ir1.gif

I've never been to Universal, but I'm planning to go this summer. (Well, I was planning to go last summer, but that didn't happen.) I was pricing out tickets and also found that an AP is going to be the way to go. I'm looking forward to seeing a New To Me park, and I hope it's not insanely crowded.

A brand new park will be so fun for you! Really hope you can make your trip finally, we're still waiting for permission to be able to travel to the states from the UK..!

Don't get sucked in!! I always vowed never to watch Love Island, then I watched on episode with some friends and I got hooked :rotfl:
Uh huh... ever heard of The Bachelor or Love is Blind???
A bit of both! they'll move them around but sometimes they'll stick them between your toes
Upon which you clench and then throw them at targets.
Me neither, we couldn't find the grater :rotfl2:
Well isn't that grate.
Oh my goodness you are lucky to be alive!!!
Still have all eleven toes!
Unfortunately I have no idea what this is

Terrible DISer I am, I never replied to the posts!

Here’s the card he got me!
:rotfl:
We got back home at around 12:30 and made cheeseburgers for lunch.
Those look really good!
…Soon to be made much brighter by the fact that JAMIE AND I BOUGHT OUR FIRST EVER ANNUAL PASSES IN ORLANDO!
WOOOO! Exciting
(Plus, they have the new Jurassic Park Velocicoaster on the way too!)
This might be one of the greatest roller coasters EVER, so say many coaster nerds.
And the drop is great too!
I can’t figure out how it’s done!
Do you want the coaster nerd to say, or keep it a secret? (I guess you mean the Devil's Snare drop, right?)

Can't wait for more!

Pre-Trip Travel!

This post is just to provide some context for future me, as I like to remember what was going on in life around the time of each of our Disney trips.
Plus, I REALLY need to reminisce about what life was like pre-COVID.

In the 6 months before COVID struck, we probably travelled enough to make up for the whole of lockdown 2020!
Somehow in the space of 6 months we managed to visit:

Berlin, Germany (August 2019)
Tuscany, Italy (September 2019)
Tromsø, Norway (January 2020)
and
Orlando, Florida (February 2020)!

So, six months after my Feb 2019 Disney trip report ended, me, Jamie, Rob, Fran and a bunch of other friends went to
Berlin, Germany in August!
Look at us all mask-less!

50555468561_100771cc92_b.jpg

50554737168_4079cc6efe_c.jpg

Then in September 2019, the four of us and a different bunch of friends went to
Tuscany, Italy!
This was for Jamie and Rob’s friends’ wedding, and the two of them were groomsmen!
The groom lives in Australia, and a fourth friend lives in San Francisco (edit: now Colorado!), so it was really special for them all to get together :goodvibes

50555605542_38149bb76f_c.jpg

But by far my favourite trip of them all was
Tromsø, Norway at the end of January 2020!
Tromsø is so far north, it’s technically the Arctic!

50555604857_2d13e72a79_c.jpg

This trip was a birthday gift from me to Jamie for turning the big 3-0!!
We went for a long weekend from Thursday 23rd – Monday 27th January 2020.

This was right before we went to Florida.
Like 2-3 weeks before we go!

Here I am at our usual airport hotel, but in a different kind of travel outfit!

50555469396_ebafd301ef_c.jpg

When we checked into the airport hotel on the night before our flight, we figured out that in exactly 3 weeks’ time we would be checking OUT of the same hotel to catch our flight to Florida!

Anyway, here are a few of my favourite pictures from our pre-Florida Norway trip.
There are a bunch more on my Instagram
@katiebearjamboree if you’re interested!

If you visit Tromso in late January like we did, you’ll get about 3 or 4 hours of daylight each day!
It’s just dusky most of the time, until it gets completely dark.
As night owls, we loved this :thumbsup2

50555469931_6a75d00f08_b.jpg

We went to a reindeer camp!

50555606522_b296009ac5_b.jpg

50554738513_d2db22e020_b.jpg

And we went dog sledding!

50554737773_3fd54700c3_c.jpg

We also went on a Northern Lights boat tour!
The lights are actually very hard to photograph so it’s hard to get those professional looking shots, but we got to see them which was all that mattered!

50561495567_ffbfa10bcd_o.jpg

On this Northern Lights boat tour we got to lie out on this netting under blankets with the water rushing by right underneath us!
So cool!

Look Epcot fans!
Real authentic school bread!
Or should I say, Skolebrød.

50554738173_0cd1bf111f_b.jpg

We also took the Tromsø Fjellheisen cable car up an INSANELY steep mountain, and did a snowy hike :lovestruc

Oh my goodness, I loved it here so much.
Dare I say I loved it almost as much as I love Walt Disney World…
Almost, not quite.
Norway just seems to be doing everything right, it’s such a cool place.
I hear that Disney Cruise Line do a Norwegian sailing which is now my absolute dream.
Watch this space, I want to make it happen!

OK, I think I’m actually ready to start this trip report now.

Continue for next post!

The Norway cruise is fantastic. We also did the Northern Europe cruise twice. I have trip reports on those two.

More Katie, more Katie, more Katie!!:flower::flower:

Can I just say how much I love your TRs?! I've read every single one and you are such a joy!

My DS is a huge Man U fan and I showed him your picture of how close their stadium is to Man City and he said he never knew that.

Thank you for bringing us along into your vacations. You make me look forward to my next trip even more....and yours!!:yay:

You guys seem to have so much fun on your trips, you even make standing in line fun!

Thanks! It's been so crowded the last couple of times we've been we don't have a choice but to make the best of those loooong lines!

Sounds like a fun day at Universal. How great you and Jamie became Passholders, and I'm glad Universal Customer service was accomodating due to the current circumstances!

I know, we were very lucky!! I can't wait to be able to finally use them...!

I love line dancing. We do them at weddings too.

How fun! I've tried it once, but I didn't understand how to follow what everyone was doing!

Stuff of nightmares. I hope Disney replaced their shoe.

Haha, it's an interesting tactic for getting some free Disney merchandise :rotfl:

I love the plummet, that's why TOT is my favorite thrill ride.

Me too!! TOT and Splash are my favourites for that reason!

Mardi Gras was very much missed this year in South Louisiana.

Oww I can imagine... but it seems like we're getting close to being allowed to have some fun again!

Uh huh... ever heard of The Bachelor or Love is Blind???

We watched one episode of Love Is Blind and thought it was so dumb  I've heard a lot about The Bachelor but I don't think we can watch it anywhere here in the UK! I do feel like I'm missing out on that one, one man and a dozen women sounds... interesting :rotfl2:

Well isn't that grate.

:lmao:

Still have all eleven toes!

Oh Lord I drop off here for a few weeks sometimes too, LIFE! And other times I'm on here every minute of the day :rotfl:

This might be one of the greatest roller coasters EVER, so say many coaster nerds.

Eek have you gotten a chance to ride it yet? I can't wait to get over there!

Do you want the coaster nerd to say, or keep it a secret? (I guess you mean the Devil's Snare drop, right?)

Also true!

:rotfl:

The Norway cruise is fantastic. We also did the Northern Europe cruise twice. I have trip reports on those two.

Awesome I'll check them out!

More Katie, more Katie, more Katie!!:flower::flower:

Coming coming!!! I got thrown off when a bunch of my replies got deleted from here a few weeks ago, and I felt weird replying again in case the originals came back... I don't know

Can I just say how much I love your TRs?! I've read every single one and you are such a joy!

Aww, thanks so much! That's so kind!

My DS is a huge Man U fan and I showed him your picture of how close their stadium is to Man City and he said he never knew that.

Cute! I didn't know it either and I'm fairly local! I was going to ask if you were local too but when I hover over your username it says Central NY! Love that we have fans across the pond :hyper:

Thank you for bringing us along into your vacations. You make me look forward to my next trip even more....and yours!!:yay:

Aw yay you're so welcome, I love writing these things! So glad you've enjoyed them too :goodvibes

We watched one episode of Love Is Blind and thought it was so dumb
What?!?!? How can you say that!?!?

"Dumb" just doesn't do cover the sheer stupidity of that show.
I've heard a lot about The Bachelor but I don't think we can watch it anywhere here in the UK! I do feel like I'm missing out on that one, one man and a dozen women sounds... interesting :rotfl2:
What about when it's one woman and 20 men?

;)

Day 4
Saturday 15th February 2020
Part 1 – Cinderella’s Royal Table!

Good morning!
Today is a very important day!
Fran and I had plans to sneak away from the boys for our girls day out to Magic Kingdom!

tumblr_n7q0hiV5Um1trmftyo1_500.gif

Don’t worry, they knew this was the plan
They very graciously and selflessly agreed to stay home and watch the Saturday football (soccer), aren’t they good to us :scratchin

I got up at 6:45am, showered, and got ready to leave at 8am!

50564084853_c8fe6a3274_c.jpg

50564967222_80802254bf_c.jpg

We left the house just after 8am, and got an Uber with a really funny driver!
She loved us and wanted us to live there with her :rotfl:
She was really upset when we told her it was nearly impossible for Brits to move to the USA (without a job transfer or marriage)
Us too lady, us too.

Our new friend dropped us off at the TTC at around 8:30am, and we headed over to the FERRYBOAT.

50564972152_29d75bea44_b.jpg

img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50564089693_4ed9472636_b.jpg[/img]

This was a fairly novel experience to me, although I think I’ve taken the ferry back to the TTC when we were staying at the Polynesian a few years ago.
I enjoyed it though, it really built the anticipation!

50564972097_640fe70639_b.jpg

Our boat was named after Admiral Joe Fowler, who was apparently an admiral in the US Navy, who later helped oversee the construction of the Mark Twain Riverboat in Disneyland.
He remained as General Manager of the park for its first 10 years, then assisted with the construction of Walt Disney World.
What a guy!

50564833566_da9582719b_b.jpg

We arrived at Magic Kingdom at 9am WOOWOO!

50564089518_3a82d349cb_b.jpg

It was already pretty busy at 9am!
But who cares because I’m back in my favourite place :goodvibes

50564971867_a7579f8e75_b.jpg

We had a very special breakfast reservation at 9:25am, so we took a casual stroll through Adventureland to pass the time.

50564971792_a52cab0563_b.jpg

We had seen on MDE that Thunder Mountain was only a 5 minute wait so we thought we might try to hop on that real quick, but when we got there it wasn’t even open :confused3
And it actually didn’t reopen all day.
And neither did Splash Mountain…

A SAD SIGHT TO BEHOLD.

:sad1:

50564089273_f35c2723b7_b.jpg

No wonder today felt like a busy day, two of the three Mountains were closed!
But all was not lost on our trip to Frontierland, because I got some nice empty park shots.

The lighting isn’t great but I love how they came out!

I love the new pink blue and gold look though!)

A castle party!
You’re all invited to come and join the fun!

At 9:25am we checked in at Cinderella’s Royal Table :rotfl:

50564971132_03e113df55_b.jpg

Yes, two childless 20-somethings.

tenor.gif

Once we entered the castle we had to wait in a line to get up the restaurant, but it was amazingly themed and there was plenty to look at!

50564088523_4535acbe99_b.jpg

50564832421_404d398082_b.jpg

We met Cinderella in line but I didn't get the photos through! :sad2:
I asked her to teach us how to do a princess pose, but she just said that being a princess comes from within, so I just stood there and looked like a goober.

It wasn’t long before we were lead up the spiral staircase and into the restaurant!

50564832361_81c69c3b44_c.jpg

50564088283_9ca11d6478_b.jpg

Here’s the menu:

50564088198_39e5f23d62_c.jpg

First we were given a magic wand and a wishing star princess:
And we got coffee, orange juice, and pastries!

50564970562_2af93855da_b.jpg

50564088048_775b5b5b4b_b.jpg

And of course, we ordered mimosas!

50564088013_375120cabc_c.jpg

The pastries, fruit and drinks were actually plenty for our whole breakfast, but we still had a main dish to eat!
I got the traditional breakfast, and Fran got the quiche!

50564087968_81a0683eb6_b.jpg

We met Jasmine, Snow White, Rapunzel and Aurora!

50564967062_ddf5095406_c.jpg

50564084228_2ba1bb3d8c_c.jpg

This breakfast was so fun!
We were being really silly, I think the mimosas hit us fast
Fran was freaking out because she didn’t know what to say to the princesses, she was a bit starstruck!
During the time we were sat eating Fran was going, “Oh God, what do I do? What do I say? AHH SHE’S GETTING CLOSER”
We had a really fun time with it, but I bet it’s much less stressful to go with small children who can have spontaneous conversations with the princesses :lmao:

Continued in next post!

Day 4
Saturday 15th February 2020
Part 2 – Disney, take all my money!

We said farewell to our fellow princesses and left Cinderella’s Royal Table at around 10:30am.
We had about an hour to kill before our first fastpass but it was REAL crowded today (again, 2/3 Mountains down all day, on a SATURDAY), so we decided to just stroll and shop and chat!

50564087853_b0341a81bb_b.jpg

50564831806_29bef779f2_b.jpg

We caught part of the Muppet show!

50564970182_a7952b5c28_b.jpg

We went into the Christmas Shoppe which Fran loved; she bought her sister a Sully ornament!
It was lovely and quiet and air conditioned in there, so we spent a while looking at all the decorations :lovestruc

50564969887_4390ce39c7_b.jpg

We continued on our stroll from Liberty Square through to Frontierland, where I got to meet WENDELL FROM THE COUNTRY BEARS!

50564966712_1d18b09f8a_c.jpg

Ahh we loved each other so much!

I think other people were being a bit stand-offish with him (how can you be mean to that face?!?) so he LOVED how excited I was to see him
Fran, who had not yet had the PRIVILEGE to see him in action at the Country Bear Jamboree, thought this was completely absurd and hilarious :rotfl:

I said goodbye to sweet Wendell and we continued around Frontierland, where I stopped to mope around my beloved Splash Mountain, which was down for refurbishment for our entire trip :sad2:

50564969852_0820e5279e_b.jpg

50564087478_6f4b12376c_b.jpg

50564969742_b3b3a49200_c.jpg

Continuing on, we saw the inevitable result of both Splash and Thunder Mountain being down…
Swiss Family Robinson was completely packed!

50564831226_559bf0cf41_b.jpg

I hope they all know that there’s nothing at the end of that line… :rotfl:

At 11am we moseyed back onto Main Street, and caught the Trolley Show, which I love love love!

50564969667_800b173e38_b.jpg

So cute.

Next we headed into The Emporium!
Any Emperor’s New Groove fans out there?

50564831161_67cd46c218_b.jpg

It’s probably one of my most quoted movies.
Mostly just this line

vmwuKjK.gif

I loved this ring, I so nearly bought it and I am full of regret that I didn’t.

50564831086_3acb9b9ea3_b.jpg

I did buy these though!
Pretty sparkly Minnie ears, and these little “squad goals” bracelets for me, Fran and Lin

50564087228_1d7b01f6f1_b.jpg

Fran also bought the mermaid Minnie ears!

Then we walked up Main Street and went into the Crystal Arts store.
Fran bought two wine glasses with the date her and Rob got engaged (a couple of months prior) inscribed on them!

We had to come back later to pick them up, so we left and went over to the hub to get this really cool new photopass I’d seen!

“Just look up there, directly into the sunlight..”

50564972842_e2d2f2e019_b.jpg

50564090358_28958d0353_b.jpg

So cool!

At 11:30am we headed into Fantasyland for our fastpass at…….

50564830986_fc9dd1dae6_b.jpg

50564087173_08f8068822_b.jpg

Journey of the Little Mermaid!

50564830916_c0456f5678_b.jpg

Fran felt right at home in her mermaid ears.
This was a welcome little breezy sit down, even though Fran hates the song ‘Kiss The Girl’ because she thinks it’s creepy :rotfl:
I disagree, you go for it Eric.

50564830886_52816e21e7_b.jpg

YAY.

After the ride we walked back through Belle’s Village, where we spotted Gaston!
We were very excited to see him out in the wild.
He shouted to us,
“LOOK AT THEM! I just look at them and they start giggling uncontrollably.”

:lmao:

We felt EXPOSED.
But it was so funny.

50564830796_7819c931a3_b.jpg

Then we went back to resume our Main Street shopping!

First we called in at Starbucks and got an iced vanilla latte each.
This is our vacation drink wherever we go!
From Walt Disney World to Disneyland Paris, even to Berlin.
Iced vanilla lattes take me to happy places.

50564830551_bef219ec24_b.jpg

We went into the Pandora store and Fran bought the annual pass charm!
I love all of the dangly Pandora charms, and considered buying one, but I have way too many dangly ones already, I think it’s damaging the elastic.
So sadly I refrained.

We picked up Fran’s customised wine glasses from Crystal Arts…

50564830526_4c29ba9e1e_b.jpg

50564969082_e1c63e4dc2_b.jpg

…Then we went back over to The Emporium.
(I call all of those shops down that side of Main Street “The Emporium” since you can pretty much walk all the way through from one end to the other, but does each section have it’s own name?! The theming is quite different as you walk through. Hmmm… I’ll just call it all The Emporium )

50564968807_3d03351a64_b.jpg

In “The Emporium” I bought these Splash Mountain sticky notes!

50564086633_e9a39b96be_b.jpg

And this Splash Mountain 3D box art thing!
I love this, it’s on my desk in my home office!

50564967767_86d3254a4e_b.jpg

I also bought Jamie this luggage tag, as he’d had trouble finding his generic black suitcase when we arrived at the airport

50564829211_acbde3d7c6_b.jpg

And I also bought him his favourite chocolate bar :lovestruc

Part 3 – Buzz and Bears

While Fran was till browsing I became very upset because my paper Starbucks straw got too soggy and broke :snooty:
Note to self: Buy a metal straw!

50564968887_598f32ec34_b.jpg

We enjoyed these creepy headless things :scared:

Once we’d finished shopping we headed over to Tomorrowland.

New sign!!!

Tronstruction!

50564086308_2009af1297_b.jpg

How exciting :hyper:

We went to the shop next to Space Mountain because I reallyyyy wanted this phone case!

50564086283_ff170c216a_b.jpg

So I ordered it!
We had to come back to collect it, so we went to use our fastpass at Buzz at 2pm!

The lines today were insane!
Space Mountain was at around 165 minutes all day, and THIS was the line for the PeopleMover!

50564086223_55232a3069_b.jpg

Thank God for fastpasses!

We rode Buzz which Fran was very excited about (Buzz is her nickname in our chat group).
He really is her idol.
Unfortunately for Fran I was much better at saving the galaxy so I’m obviously his favourite.

She must’ve just been starstruck again

Check out my BLACK nail polish under the UV light!

50564827836_599b2e4cee_c.jpg

Crazy!

We loooved the Toy Story themed shop at the end of the ride.
We should’ve bought these backpacks!

50564968467_69e95a52b3_b.jpg

But NO TIME TO WASTE because I had to go collect my new phone cover!
HOW GREAT IS THIS.

50564086108_02d85e0cde_c.jpg

I still have this on my phone to this day!
Fran was super confused about my Country Bear love, after meeting Wendell earlier and now this, so at 3pm we went over to Grizzly Hall!

Give me a little intro there, Gomer.

The bear band bears will play now in the good old key of G.
Zeke and Zeb and Ted and Fred and a bear named Tennessee!

My buddy Wendell!

Fran thought this was so funny, she was laughing the whole way through!
Although maybe she was laughing at me and how much I was loving it :rotfl:

Love it!

We were about ready to head home to see the family, so we headed out of Frontierland.
However Festival of Fantasy was on the move, so obviously we went to find a good spot for that!

At 3:45pm we headed out of the Magic Kingdom.

We didn’t get to do loads of attractions because the lines were soooo long.
But we came to terms with that when we realised that Splash and Thunder were both down, and that it was a Saturday, and we managed to have a great time regardless!

Part 4 – Bowling with the family!

We headed over to the monorail to get back to the TTC, and we saw that the express line was huuuuge.
But thankfully the resort line contained approximately zero people.
So we got right on the resort monorail, back to the TTC!

Then we got an Uber home and greeted the family :grouphug:

We freshened up, and at around 6pm we headed out to the AMF Kissimmee Bowling Lanes!
Lin and Ian had gotten us a deal of 2.5 hours of bowling with two drinks each.
Back home we have to pay per game of bowling, but having a time limit instead felt much more fun and freeing.

We were booked in for 6:30-9pm.
This place was very retro!

I got some mozzarella sticks and a pepperoni pizza, and I also had some of Jamie’s boneless wings

We played 5 games of bowling, and somehow I managed to win one of them!
So of course, that was the only scoreboard I took a photo of :rolleyes1

50564083988_2868737b4a_b.jpg

We’ve been bowling as a 6 before and we always have so much fun.
Anytime someone gets a strike we all run into formation to make a bridge with our arms which that person has to run underneath :rotfl:

We finished up bowling at 9pm and headed back to the house.

We were having a relaxing day tomorrow, so we stayed up late playing chicken foot (our favourite dominoes game) :goodvibes

Goodnight!

Day 5
Sunday 16th February 2020
Part 1 – Lazy Day

Good morning!

We had a VERY lazy day today, so this update is going to be a short one!
Basically we just sat by the pool in our back yard all day.
It was glorious, but I did burn my arms and legs a little bit.

tumblr_paksu6bvuk1t0xyebo1_500.gifv

We also played some table football!
We rotated the teams a lot so that we could mix it up and see who the real strong players were (Ian :lmao:)

In the evening we all got dressed up nice and fancy to go out for dinner at a restaurant called Eleven, over the road at the Reunion Resort!
(We were stationed in Encore at Reunion, so it’s kind of the same complex, just a different plot of land across I4, so we had to drive there.)

Here’s Jamie, me, Fran and Rob.
I had a really nice dress on, but sadly, as I mentioned, I had lobster arms from sitting out in the sun too long!
Thankfully I’d brought a nice sweater with me to cover it up :rotfl:

50742487843_c638c418ca_b.jpg

50564174328_b801379b55_b.jpg

We had to take the elevator all the way up to the top floor to get to Eleven.
As we were walking through the restaurant I caught what I believe were the Happily Ever After fireworks through the window off in the distance!

50564174228_33b71f5a27_b.jpg

We were seated at our table, and all ordered a lot of alcohol!
I had a gin cocktail, as well as some red wine that was for the table.
The white wine and beers were also free flowing!

For starters I got the lobster bisque:

50565056922_89f7120d23_b.jpg

And for my main course I had the filet mignon!

50565056687_a0b725845d_b.jpg

Yum and wow.

In between courses we also popped outside to see the view of Orlando!
Watch your step after all that booze though, there’s a pool out there

50564919701_18c6c107a7_b.jpg

Our waiter took a nice group picture of us all before we left.

50564173783_9a02114183_b.jpg

Once we’d finished up our drinks we headed back down to the ground floor and went back to the house.

50564919531_c2bb362dab_c.jpg

When we got home we watched A Quiet Place in the cinema room!
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are the best couple, on screen and in real life :lovestruc

Yay for a relaxing day!

So, the Devil's Snare effect is a Drop Track. The track is on an elevator like thing, so the train locks onto the bit that drops, the track drops, then it locks and you go again.

We had a really fun time with it, but I bet it’s much less stressful to go with small children who can have spontaneous conversations with the princesses
When my girls were little, we always had to come up with a question for them to ask. Otherwise they would just stand there speachless in front of the princesses.

Continuing on, we saw the inevitable result of both Splash and Thunder Mountain being down…
Swiss Family Robinson was completely packed!
Yikes! Sounds like you guys made the best of the day but that was not an ideal MK day for rides.

We freshened up, and at around 6pm we headed out to the AMF Kissimmee Bowling Lanes!
It is so strange to think that you were in MK during the day and then went bowling in the same day.

Fran and I had plans to sneak away from the boys for our girls day out to Magic Kingdom!
ooooohhhh... sneaky.
Don’t worry, they knew this was the plan
Well that takes the fun/mystery out of it!
We left the house just after 8am, and got an Uber with a really funny driver!
She loved us and wanted us to live there with her :rotfl:

You say funny, I say "stalker".

This was a fairly novel experience to me, although I think I’ve taken the ferry back to the TTC when we were staying at the Polynesian a few years ago.
you know... I'm not sure if I've ever taken the ferry. It's possible I did on my first visit, but that's a long time ago and I don't remember.
We had seen on MDE that Thunder Mountain was only a 5 minute wait so we thought we might try to hop on that real quick, but when we got there it wasn’t even open :confused3
And it actually didn’t reopen all day.
And neither did Splash Mountain…
Well... shoot! That's not okay.
But all was not lost on our trip to Frontierland, because I got some nice empty park shots.
Yes. That's why we all go to Disney. To dream of the day when all the attractions are closed and we can get empty park photos.

:rolleyes2
(They made us do this one )
Cute shot, though. :)
At 9:25am we checked in at Cinderella’s Royal Table :rotfl:
Yes, two childless 20-somethings.
I asked her to teach us how to do a princess pose, but she just said that being a princess comes from within, so I just stood there and looked like a goober.
:lmao:
And of course, we ordered mimosas!
But of course! One simply does not have breakfast in a castle and not have mimosas!
Fran was freaking out because she didn’t know what to say to the princesses, she was a bit starstruck!
Oh dear!
We caught part of the Muppet show!
Of course you did. I don't think anyone has seen it in its entirety.
I got to meet WENDELL FROM THE COUNTRY BEARS!
Cool!
And... notice your hand on him. How soft was that fur??? Did you want to take him home with you?
(Don't answer that. Of course you did.)
Fran, who had not yet had the PRIVILEGE to see him in action at the Country Bear Jamboree, thought this was completely absurd and hilarious :rotfl:
:lmao:
Swiss Family Robinson was completely packed!
Filed under: "Sentences I thought I'd never hear."
It’s probably one of my most quoted movies.
Mostly just this line
I loved this ring, I so nearly bought it and I am full of regret that I didn’t.
Reason #4324 for needing to go back. ::yes::
Fran bought two wine glasses with the date her and Rob got engaged (a couple of months prior) inscribed on them!
Nice. :)
This was a welcome little breezy sit down, even though Fran hates the song ‘Kiss The Girl’ because she thinks it’s creepy :rotfl:
I disagree, you go for it Eric.

I'm not sure whose side I'm on here!

Of course it was funny. I'm positive you both giggled. ::yes::
(I call all of those shops down that side of Main Street “The Emporium” since you can pretty much walk all the way through from one end to the other, but does each section have it’s own name?! The theming is quite different as you walk through. Hmmm… I’ll just call it all The Emporium )
Up to the Bakery, the official map lists it simply as Emporium. So you're not wrong!
While Fran was till browsing I became very upset because my paper Starbucks straw got too soggy and broke :snooty:
Note to self: Buy a metal straw!
At the convenience store/chain here they have what looks and feels like plastic straws, but are completely bio-degradable. They're great.
We enjoyed these creepy headless things :scared:
Eek!
Once we’d finished shopping we headed over to Tomorrowland.

50564830286_c581a948b3_b.jpg

New sign!!!
Not a fan.
THIS was the line for the PeopleMover!
:sad2:
It used to always be a walk-on. I don't know what's happened in the last couple years.
Thank God for fastpasses!
I don't even know... can you get a FP for Peoplemover??
Unfortunately for Fran I was much better at saving the galaxy so I’m obviously his favourite.
Obviously!
Check out my BLACK nail polish under the UV light!
That's cool!
But NO TIME TO WASTE because I had to go collect my new phone cover!
HOW GREAT IS THIS.
:thumbsup2

Sounds like such a relaxing day. Very nice. Except for the burning bit.
I had a really nice dress on, but sadly, as I mentioned, I had lobster arms from sitting out in the sun too long!
Do you have a photo of an arm or leg that shows how bad it was? Were you like, bright red??
For starters I got the lobster bisque:
To match your arms and legs. Of course.
And for my main course I had the filet mignon!
No surf & turf? Oh! Of course. You were the lobster!
Watch your step after all that booze though, there’s a pool out there
:rolleyes1
