Animal Kingdom day two
Tuesday,September 1st
This morning,I didn't even bother setting the alarm.We had all gone to bed around 12,so I knew no one would want to get up any earlier then 8.I also had an unterior motive behind this. Because alot of my plans had already been switched around,and because we had an adr at Boma tonight for dinner,I decided that we go back to AK today and finish up that park .I also wanted to plan a very easy day for Cruella ,hoping that she would feel less rushed. So I only planned two things for our day at AK and that was because I thought Cruella would like to see The Lion King and Finding Nemo shows. I wanted to at least catch Finding Nemo myself. Back in January of 2007,my family and I were watching the Finding Nemo show and really enjoying it when there was a problem and the poor girl playing Crush's son was left hanging in the air,and they had to stop the show and dismiss everyone due tot echnical problems.So I knew I wanted to go back and see the rest of the show.
I also knew it was going to be just Cruella and I for the first part of the day,because Kaitlyn and Kylie had upgraded thier park tickets to include Disney Quest and the water parks the first day we got there,and today they were planning to spend some time in the waterparks.
Of course,I still woke up around 8 am,and attempted to go back to sleep.But around 8;30, I realized that I better put the privacy sign in the door so the housekeeper wouldn't come in.I tried to sleep for a few minutes,but it just wasn't happening for me. I think my body and mind just know that we are in Disney and times is wasting..just lying there..haha. So I got up,and got ready.Then I woke the girls up to let them know that it was getting late if they wanted to hit the waterparks before meeting us at Boma at 5. They woke up, got ready,ate some cereal, and headed out,happily leaving thier moms behind.Cruella began to wake up on her own while the girls were getting ready,and so she began to get ready while I made coffee and spent some time reading.After she was ready,Cruella poured herself some coffee and asked me what the plan was for the day,and I told her about the two shows and she seemed pleased with that.
We caught a bus to AK,and arrived there around 12,and looked over the times for the two shows. I forget the showtimes,but it worked out that we would see Finding Nemo first and then The Lion King.We had some time until either show started though,so we decided to go on Kali River Rapids first.We got pretty wet on the ride,so afterwards,we went to a bathroom and tried to dry off a bit.Then we took some pictures here and there,and decided to get a fruit popsicle on our way to Finding Nemo. Everything was going good so far. When we got to the building for the show,we had to quickly finish our popsicle before going in,so we ended up giving ourselves an icecream headache trying to finish it up,but Cruella seemed to be in a good mood .
We go in and find seats and the show begins shortly afterwards.And then Cruella had a moment again. There was a family sitting in front of us,and they had small kids,who were having a hard time seeing the show,and would move around trying to see.One of the children was in her mothers lap,and so this made it a bit more difficult for Cruella to see,because when the child moved,it would block her vision sometimes,I don't know.I just know she was complaining about it.Then she began complaining because the dad was holding up the a small video camera that was blocking her vision. From what I saw,it really wasn't that big of a deal.we both could still see.I didn't understand what got her so aggravated all of a sudden. So she leans over to him and says somethng to him,but I could only here the last of what was said,and that was put your camera down! Then I saw the father turn the camera off and put it on his lap,and the mother was looking at him and he was looking at her,and they didn't look very happy. I just felt really bad for them,because I knew once again,Cruella had struck. After the show,I heard the dad say they would just have to come back again to see it before they left. I couldn't help but think Cruella was even messing with the trip plans of strangers now.
So we left,and then walked over to see The Lion King show. We had a little time before it started,and so we stopped to get pictures with Donald Duck,who is one of my facorite characters.Cruella took this picture for me. I wish I had been able to use the one from the photo pass guy,but I didn't feel it was worth to buy the cd since there weren't very much of Kaity or I on it.

The meet and greetlines for the other characters were rather long,and we didn't want to be late for our show,so we headed on over there then.
We watched the show,and Cruella took alot of pictures,as did I ,and she enjoyed it alot.I won't post any pictures of it though because they came out dark,and really,you have all seen it before,and I am being really lazy right now...haha
When the show was over,we got caught in the crowds after the AK parade,and so this took some time to get through. We were trying to hurry because the shy wasn't looking very promising.Finally we leave the park,and it began to rain,so we hurried to the AKL bus stop ,and had just caught a bus when it began to come down harder.When Cruella saw this resort,she had a bad case of resort envy and mentioned how she regretted us not staying there.I had to remind her that I was on a budget for this trip and wouldn't have been able to,as much as I would have loved dong so. She placated herself by taking some pictures of the resort while we waited for the girls to arrive. They had finished in the water parks and gone back to our room to shower and were on thier way now,but apparently thier bus was stopping at alot of places and it was taking awhile to get there now.I didn't want us to be late,so I went down to Boma to check us in at least and they said we could have our seat and they would show the girls over to our table when they arrived. So Cruella and I got our seats and ordered our drinks.We were just about to go up to the buffet when the girls arrived.
We all really loved this dinner! It was soooo good! I tried several different dishes and each one was scrumptious to me.Kaitlyn loved the butternut squash soup especially,and Kylie was all over the zebra domes.I forget everything we all loved,but I do know I will be heading back there again my next trip! My oldest dd reccommended this place to me because she loved it as well,so this will be one place we will make sure to get an adr to when we go on our mother daughter trip in 2011.Yum!
During diiner however,Kaitlyn started to not feel well. She gets always get really sick the first day or two of her cycle and unfortunately for her,her cycle was due while we were on this trip.I guess it had decided to pay a visit that day,and now Kaitlyn began to feel it's affects. At the same time,it was really pouring down outside ,and so after dinner, we decided to wait until it had calmed down some to catch a bus that would take us to another place where we could get another bus that would take us to our resort.We explored around the inside of the hotel for a bit and then headed into the store. After we had been in there awhile,I got a text from Kaitlyn.She was sitting on a chair in the lounge and said she really wasn't feeling well and wanted to go back to our room.I went out to talk to her,and saw her shivering,and not looking good at all. I went into the store and bought her a sweat shirt since all she had on were shorts and a tank top,then I found Cruella and Kylie looking at something together,and told how Kaitlyn was feeling and that they could take thier time ,but Kaitlyn and I were headed back to the room.I made sure they knew what to do to get back to the resort,and they understood,and said no problem. I felt bad to leave them,but at the same time,I also was feeling bad for my dd,who was looking worse by the moment.So we walk outside,and I said we will just catch the first bus that comes .Well,we only waited a minute,and the DTD bus pulled up and so we got on.I thought great! DTD is close to our resort and that should make it easy.Boy ws I wrong! We had to make all the stops in the AK resort,then we stopped at Typhoon Lagoon,then after a very long ride,we finally get to DTD.We got off that bus and got in line for our resort and waited another fifiteen minutes to catch a bus to Port Orleans.The whole time,Kaitlyn was leaning against me and shivering and saying she was going to puke.What an ordeal! I was frustrated because suddenly the busses were always dropping off at all the stops in Riverside first,then finally it would go to the French quater side.When we stayed at Riverside,it was always french quarter first..lol..I can't win!
Normally it really didn't bother me since I had happy memories to relive from our stay at Riverside,and every time we went there,I would think of my family's last trip there. I really love Riverside ,at least the mansion section,and would prefer it over French Quarter any day.Even if I have a hike to get to the foodcourt..lol.It is just such a pretty walk,you really don't mind. And really,where we stayed at Acadian House,wasn't that far.
So anyway,I am really not focusing well in writting this...
. Back to the trip report! So finally Kaitlyn and I get off the bus and walk to our room.On the way there,guess who passes us on the way up to the foodcourt with thier mugs? Yep,there is Kylie! I was astonished at how long it took us to get home! Cruella said they shopped for awhile yet after we left,and then caught the bus to one of the parks,I think she said Epcot,but I forget exactly.From there,they caught a bus back to our room and beat us !!!
So we see Kylie and say hello,but she seemed annoyed for some reason,and then I thought maybe her mother was annoyed at us too when we first got to the room.There was a sense of tension when we walked in.
Well,I didn't care. We hadn't done anything wrong. Cruella did say she thought maybe we had decided to go somewhere else then,because she expected to find us back in the room when they got there. I told her our whole travelling story,and whether she believed it or not,didn"t matter to me.Kaitlyn tooka shower right away,got in her pj's and I gave her some excedrin,and she went to sleep soon after. I walked up to the foodcourt and filled my mug and bought a Mickey bar to snack on.It was still drizzling,and so I figured we could all watch tv and get to bed early and maybe we could get an early start for Magic Kingdom tomorrow.
All in all,this day had not really gone too bad,except for whatever Cruella said to that poor family,and for Kaitlyn getting sick in the evening. I began the day with the expectation that we weren't going to accomplish much,and really we didn't...lol.
LOL) and some of my best memories of our "teenagehood" are those weekend trips. (grew up in Tampa, so never really got the whole week long Disney trip
