A Spooktacular Disney Trip 9/30/09 to 10/10/09 PART 2

I'm a little disappointed in Tarzan too. I had the image of him like I saw during the Tarzan show at AK.

After seeing Tarzan and Trick or Treating on the way out the door again we decided to see if Haunted Mansion was up and running yet. On our way we got photos with the Hitch Hiking Ghosts.
It was in an area between the loading dock for Liberty Bell and the entrance for Haunted Mansion.
I couldn’t wait to see the photos I never knew these guys really “existed” before tonight.

There was hardly any wait for Haunted Mansion. We were in the “Stretching Room” at 10:30 and back out at 10:48. While we were in line (after “Stretch Room”) some guy asked if he could have a photo with the 3 of us. That was to cool. I was like “Sure” LOL I felt so important LOL
Since we used the handicapped entrance we didn’t get a photo of the “lady on the bench” so I jumped over the ropes because the line was EMPTY and got the photo.

We saw everyone we planned to see tonight so we decided to hit Toontown and see the Princesses.

As we entered Toontown we took photos in front of the Toontown Sign. A nice CM happed to walk past so we were able to get a family photo at 11:00.

I forgot mention when we went to see Mickey & Minnie earlier tonight that the FREE face painting line was HUGE. I think it was longer than the Snow White line LOL

We just past Barnstormer and ran smack dab into Mad Hatter. Zach took a photo with him. Just as Mom went to take a photo Alice walked up, so mom and I got photos with them together.

We were on line for the Princesses but saw that the Fairy line had 3 families while the Princess line had about 10 so we jumped the line. Tink was the only Fairy and we took our photos with her at 11:16.
She was so fun since she doesn’t care for pirates LOL

We came out and I saw that the Princess line was still not long so I hopped the rope and mom had to go around with her scooter. The line did NOT move for very LONG while so I sat on the floor around 11:23. Come to find out there was a group of 12 adults taking photos inside the Princess room.
A CM closed the line about 11:35.

Nobody was on line to see Cinderella when we got into the room and this is what we saw

I have a THING for Prince Charming so this was a MUST LOL. Every trip we have to eat at 1900 Park Fare just so I can see My Prince Charming.

We went back to Aurora’s line since we forgot to get a family photo at 11:44.

Sadly, the party had to come to an end so outward we go. ON the way out we took photos on the side of the castle and in front of the Castle. I think they came out perfect.

As we were leaving the park it was very crowded, we figured since we didn’t eat anything all night, we should stop at Casey’s to let the crowd disburst (It didn‘t seem to crowded though). Hot dogs and fries are not something we were in the mood for but it was the only thing open. We all ate our hotdogs but couldn’t touch the Fries. I think I ate to many toosie rolls on the Princess line LOL

As soon as we got "home" Zach wanted that face paint off. The 3 of us had a heck of a time getting that mess off. My Mom tried as hard as she could but couldn't get it all. We used the wipes that the Pirate LEague gave us, that didn't work. We used soapy washclothes, that didn't work. We even tried Kandoo's (butt wipes for kids LOL) it seemed that worked the best. I think we finally hit the pillow at 1:30

it's been awhile I know.
There are many things happening right now that got me off track, yet again LOL

My mom had breast cancer last year and in January (for her 60th birthday) she found out she beat it. Well, mom just found another lump in the same breast. We have been a little worried about that. She and I went Tuesday for a sonogram for the lump. I think we find out Friday what the results are.

My hands and feet have been swelling up, burning and very itchy. I think it's due to the same reason my tongue and lips swelled but not sure. I go next Tuesday to the allergist hopefully we can figure this out.

My husband and I painted this past Monday and Tuesday. We stripped our bedroom thinking maybe there is a spider, nat or something that is biting me and I'm allergic to it but we found nothing. Hey at least the bedroom got painted LOL


OK on to my trip report.
Last I left off we hit the pillow at 1:30 after coming "home" late from the MNSSHP.

October 3rd

We got up at 7:15 because Zach had a 9:30 reservation at Grand Floridian Pirate cruise. I know I know we had a late night last night we should sleep in but can't do it LOL. This will be his 3rd cruise (he’s done the Yacht & Riverside already). We took showers and ate cereal and we were out of the room at 8:20. The first bus that came had all the wheelchair spots full so we had to wait for the next bus. The next one came around not to long after. We got off the bus at MK and RAN up the monorail hill. Whew what a hill for this “pooh size” chick to be running. Just as we got there we got in the monorail on our way to GF. As soon as we got to the GF we walked as fast as we could (without running, this girl had enough running LOL) to the Marina. We got there at 9:28. Just in time, I HATE being late for anything and this was cutting it close. We checked Zach in, he got his life vest, he bypassed the tattoo line since he hates tattoos and went straight for the bandana and the name line. Since he didn’t have a family member to partner up with he was partnered up with 2 boys we were also solo Michael & Antony.
With the pirates finally ready to search for their treasure they were off.

While Zach was gone Mom and I just wanted to relax so we grabbed a table and nice comfy seats just outside of 1900 Park Fare. We talked, wrote in our journal books and listened to the story being told in the Princess and Me Tea. It was the prefect 2 hour break we needed after last night.

We left the lobby at 11:30 to wait by the marina for Zach and the crew to arrive. By the looks of it Michael and Zachary hit it off just fine. They were play wrestling when they pulled up. I really hope that is not what they did all day on the treasure hunt LOL.

I always wonder what kind of adventure they have. Each time I book I always tell myself to send him with a disposable camera and each year I forget.

After the pirates claimed their treasure and returned their pirate gear we went to the bus stop to grab a bus to DD to go to Disney Quest.
This would be our first time there and we were extremely excited to go.
It was 12:20 and we were a little hungry so we got off the bus at Marketplace and decided to see if we could get into T-Rex. We had 9:00 PM ressie for T-Rex but there is no way we would eat that heavy that late so let’s press our luck and see how long the wait is for lunch. We walked and Mom scooted around the Marketplace and there was NO line and the place was pretty much empty at 12:33. Mom and I had Layers of Earth Lasagna and Zach had his old faithful Chicken nuggets and Fries. The Layers of Earth Lasagna was delicious, Mom & I finished every bite. Zach didn’t eat that much just fries and about 3 nuggets. I forgot he had a PB&J sandwich on the cruise so I didn’t give him much grief about it like I usually do. The kid is a horrible eater and I basically have to force feed him to eat anything. No I’m not a clean your plate momma but I would like him to eat something so he doesn’t get sick LOL.

I was 2 updated behind. I don't know how I missed the last part of the party. Again you got great pictures but I really loved the Tink ones.

Looks like Zach had a great time on his cruise. Danielle hates tatoos too. I'm really glad you got a chance to rest and relax.

I hope you find out next week what's going on with the swelling.

As I mentioned mom found a lump and we went for a sonogram. Last Thursday she got the results for the lump. The results are she has a lump. No really that's what her doctor said. I was like and we pay you for WHAT. Anyway, her Cancer doctor told her to call her Cancer surgeon and schedule a biopsy. We went in this Tuesday and the surgeon felt her up (well you know what I mean) and told her she did have a lump. He knows it, she knows it her doctor knows it and the sonogram confirmed it. He said he is not going to do a biopsy. The lump has to come out anyway why put her through more pain when it's unneeded. He said he will call the hospital to see when he can get her in there for surgery. Yesterday morning the hospital called and told her she had to be in for pre-admission testing at 11:30 am. So that's what we did yesterday. She is suppose to go in May 4th for surgery to have the lump removed but we will not find out for certain till Monday when her pre-admission testing comes back.

I went to the allergist yesterday for the swelling. Well, they pricked my back with 36 needles and nothing happened. My tongue did feel funny just a little. I didn't have time to wait there for the tingling to go away because I had to get mom to her surgeon. I told my doctor listen if anything happens I will be IN the hospital for pre-admission testing with my mom I will just go straight to the ER. She was reluctant but knew I was leaving no matter what she said so she "let" me leave. After I got home my doctor called to make sure I was OK and I was.


Now you know why it's been a little crazy slow going with this report. I'm ready to put a dent in this trip report. I got free-dining today for my upcoming trip and I don't want to be writing this report when I'm planning the other one. LOL
So be prepared I will try to get as much as I can out this week.


Last I left off we were just finished eating at T-Rex.

As we were leaving Zach wanted a friend for his T-Rex Build-A-Dino (named him Rex) from last year so we played around there for awhile. He picked a Wooly Mammoth and named him Woolie (he’s very inventive with names, don’t you think? LOL). He bought a sound for Woolie and bought a baby Woolie Mammoth (named him Mammoth). He said get it Mom, Woolie (pointed to big Woolie) and Mammoth (pointed to the baby Mammoth). At the register Woolies sound was not working so he needed emergency surgery to have it fixed.

After Wooly's surgery we were finally on our way to Disney Quest.

As we were walking we saw the Characters in Flight balloon

and wanted to go on it. When we got there we all decided that $40.00 for a 10 minute ride was not worth it so on ward we trek. Man oh man I haven’t hit this place since April 1999, I believe. Not since the Country dance club left It didn’t impress me at all. It wasn’t Pleasure Island (that I knew) anymore and it was a little unsettling. I'm not good with changing Disney.


We also saw a “old” man bronze stature and stopped for photos with “him”. It was soooooooooooooo hot and the bronze man burnt my butt, moms arm and Zach leg. Note to self: stay away from hot men LOL

Finally, we made it to Disney Quest. This place is very confusing and we got lost many times. We finally found the classic arcade games and I was in memory Heaven LOL I loved video games when I was a kid---Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Q,Bert and more oh my. We rocked out on the POTC pinball machine. I was 2nd top score of the day with over 2,480,000 points till my mother took over the game. My mom played and ended up with the TOP score of the day. He rocked.
Zach was to short for Buzz or the rollercoaster but we did do Jungle Cruise where mom got seasick. Then did POTC which was pretty great. Mom didn’t do it cause she didn’t want to get sick again. We also did Magic Carpet ride.

When I was done Zach and Mom were GONE. My mom started to get sick so she stopped and Zach didn’t want to do it anymore so they got off and left me. Boy, did I feel the love, I didn’t even know they left LOL

I'm so sorry your Mom is dealing with another lump. I'm going to pray for y'all that everything turns out okay.

I'm also sorry you didn't find anything our after your visit to the allergist. Maybe you're allergic to a combination of things, you know certain things have to happen together to make the reaction.

I never really got to experience the real Pleasure Island. It looks kind of deserted now. Hopefully they can breath some new life over there.

We've only done DQ once and I was totally lost. Can't do the motion stuff due to motion sickness.

October 3rd

My mom started to get motion sick and Zach didn’t want to do it anymore so they left me. Mom an I wanted to do the Comix but Zach didn’t so we had to talk him into it. Zach got to be the driver and we were the shooters. Mom killed 1 and I killed NONE. Every time I lined up my shot Zach moved LOL. Oh well we had fun anyway. Disney Quest was not as exciting as we thought it would be we played a little while longer than just got bored with the whole situation so we left.

We didn’t want to go back to the resort so we decided to chill out in the Marketplace for the rest of the day so that were where we headed. First stop LEGO STORE. Zach played outside building cars and racing them for about 45 minutes. We went inside and bought Zach 2 large cups of Legos, a lego stand and Indiana Jones Lego people. He loves Legos so I had no problem buying any of it J

This guy was building a WHOLE Star Wars village. We went back a day or 2 later and it was complete and amazing.

Next was the World of Disney where we only bought a postcard to send to Daddy. It was unbelievable I have never walked out without tons of bags with me LOL
Next on the agenda was Ghirardelli’s for some nice cold Ice cream. This is usually one of our MUST stops but in December when it’s is COLD out. Boy, did it taste better when it was 90 degrees lol
Remember I had been losing my voice the whole trip. Mom and Zach went to find a table while I placed the order. I ordered a chocolate cup for Zach and 2 cups of chocolate Chip Mint double scoops on both for Mom and I. When it got to the table there was only Zach’s and 1 CCM double scoop. I told the waitress we ordered 2 CCM’s. The waitress went back for another one. When she got back I showed her my receipt just to prove I was right. She showed me I only paid for one. I told her I ordered 2 maybe the cashier didn’t understand me since I was losing my voice. I told her I will go back to pay for it without a problem. She said “Not a problem, don’t worry about it.” I kept asking her if she was sure. She said had I not shown her the receipt without being asked she would have thought I was trying to pull something. But since I honestly thought that I paid for it and it was a mistake on their part without getting nasty. She wanted us to have it just for being nice and honest.

Have no clue why mom is smiling like that. Maybe excited for Ice Cream LOL

After the Ice cream hit the spot we went to the Christmas Store and bought some new ornaments for our Christmas Tree. I pretty much have every LARGE Mickey Icon ball so it was slim pickings for me so we moved on to the Scrapbook Store.

We got some character pens for Zach’s teachers and the Daisy Kooky pen for me. We took photos with the Mickey and Friends Christmas scene and let Zach play in the pop up water. He didn’t get too wet because we didn’t have a towel to dry him off but he got to cool off a bit.

We found 3 swan towels animals waiting for us in the room. We took turns in the shower and about 9:00 we realized we didn’t eat dinner. We are not big eaters when it is hot out. Anyway, I was not in the mood to walk to the lobby so home grabbed a large shopping bag and scooted to the food court for a quick dinner. I think we were in bed by 10:30.

I was not happy with Disney quest at all. I think all the hipe people gave it when I was doing the research might have made my expectations a little too high LOL

We haven't been in a rush to go back to Disney Quest since our first visit. I would do it again if it were free like the last time.

I've never gotten ice cream just chocolate. It would hit the spot on a hot day. It's a good thing you were honest. What goes around comes around. A nice perk for being honest. The pictures of Zach in the jets is great. He looks like he's having a blast. Danielle can't pass water jets without getting in them if it's hot.
