A Smile in my Heart–Magical Week of Friends,Fun & Freezing-10/28-COMPLETE!

Great updates Sara! Wow I should say 3 updates! That stinks that Miyuki doesn't let the kids keep the lollipops anymore. Well at least each of mine have been chosen before. Thomas actually ate his . Anyway sorry you didn't see Remy. Was this a Sunday night? Sunday is Remy's day off ;). He is very cute but Tom doesn't like the food in France so not on our list this time. :yay: for getting your GGLCS! I love the pics of the kids! The ones of Katie with Jasmine and Aladdin are adorable! Your Illuminations pics are amazing too. Sorry Katie's shoes didn't turn up at the Poly lost and found.

Wonderful updates! We spent the most time in Japan. The kids love it there. I'm sorry you missed the girls picking their pearls. I think you should go back your next trip and do it again and get one for yourself. I finally did it this last trip with my girls and loved it. Katie looks so good in her kimono.

Sorry Remy was a no show but your food sounds great. I have yet to eat there but I'm putting it on my list for someday.

Test Track rocks at night. I think it and BTMRR are so much funner at night.

Hope you made it to Illuminations.

You did a stealth post while I was finishing up my post so I missed you!! Japan is definitely a family favorite! I was able to do the pick-a-pearl when Shawn and I went on our couples trip in May and I got twins! It was a lot of fun and I certainly will be doing it with my girls next time. They enjoyed it and I'm sad that I missed seeing them having fun! I'm sure it was a fun with Daddy moment, though!

On the trip I just got back from (with my Mom), we ate at Chefs for lunch. Of the two meals, I would recommend lunch over dinner. It was really quite nice and both of our dishes were great! Our waiter was easy on the eyes too! ;)

The first time I ever rode Test Track (back in 2007) it was while Illuminations was happening and it was fabulous!! We absolutely loved it at night!

Thanks Nichole! Yeah, I was really surprised by that and then felt like an idiot (you know how your whole family expects you to know everything about Disney...):headache:

No, this was a Monday night so Remy was supposed to be out. It ended up being ok, since the kids didn't know, but it would have been fun (I did see him with Mom a couple weeks ago though..hehe).

Sara

Hooray for finally hitting Illuminations on a clear night! And major SCORE on the viewing spot... from the pix it looks like it was fantastic! :thumbsup2

I forgot about those shoes! :sad2: Hope they turned up.

How awesome is it to be staying at a monorail resort? It sounds like it made getting around so much easier, especially with little ones sleeping in the stroller!

I was so happy that Shawn was able to see Illuminations the way you are supposed to see it, Kathy! It did not disappoint that is for sure!

Love, love, love the Poly! It was so convenient with the transportation! The walk from the TTC is so easy. Plus it's tiki-torch-lit the whole way! So fun! :goodvibes

Sara--you are an updating machine!! WOW!! I'm so glad that you were able to meet back up with your friends AND see Illuminations!! Your pictures are absolutely AMAZING!! I wish I knew how to take nighttime shots like that!! :worship: I'm sorry to hear that the tripod and shoes were not waiting for you back at the Poly.

Thanks Becky! Well it had been almost a month since I last updated, so I wanted to at least get this day done and try to move this thing along a little better. Plus I wanted to write up a quick trip report on the week there with my Mom but felt I should get a little further along with this one before starting another.

I'm sure your nighttime shots are great, Becky! You are a wonderful photographer! I can't wait to see some of the 3,000+ you took on your trip!! :thumbsup2

Wow that stinks that Remy wasn't at Chef De France on a Monday :sad2: I guess I definitely won't book and promise the kids they get to see Remy. Glad to hear you and your mom were able to see him though ;).

Sara:

Wow, I have been off the DIS for a few days and come back to 3 updates! :yay::yay:

It looks like you had a great day at Epcot! We have got to try Test Track at night this trip. I never thought of that before but I bet it was amazing.

We have never seen the candy lady in Japan but I had it on my list this time. It is too bad she doesn't give the children the candy she makes. I will have to make sure I tell Jeremy that in case he gets picked so he is not too disappointed.

Of course, I still have that grey goose slushie on my list for July. I still have yet to get one. This will be the year I am determined! Does it only come in lemon?

:surfweb:Can't wait to hear about DHS.

Whoa, had some catching up to do here!

We've never seen the Serveur Amusant show or Miyuki! Talk about a bad DISer!

Katie looks so cute in her kimono! Has she worn it at all since she's been home?

Glad you were able to meet back up with Monica and spend the evening together.

Love the pics you took while on Test Track, and the Illuminations pictures makes me want to be there now!

Great Illuminations pictures! I'm so glad you got to enjoy it as a family with great seats, friends and perfect conditions.

Those are AWESOME fireworks pictures!! I wish I could get pics like that on my camera! I love them! :thumbsup2

Yes we were, and he was adorable! The "host" that brings him around was a hoot too! :goodvibes

Thanks Erika! Yeah, I had a lazy day on Sunday and did a little updating!! Hope I can keep it up!

I love TT at night, but like I posted earlier, I always worry that something is going to happen weather-wise during the day to derail those plans. Weather delays will really hamper that TT line! Even with a FP! I was glad we didn't have any weather problems that night! We did however, freeze our noses off. It was COLD!!

Well, the GGLCS only comes in lemon but they do also have the Grand Marnier Orange Slushie which is similar in texture but with different alcohol (and orange flavor obviously). I've had it too (tastes like an orange dreamsicle) but I prefer the GGLCS. In July, it will be especially refreshing!

Michelle, I had not stopped for Serveur Amusant until the trip with Mom a couple of weeks ago. It's very good - you should try and see it next time. Of course, Miyuki ranks up there with one of the best WS "entertainment" stops in my book! But there are plenty I still haven't seen, so I guess I'm not a terribly good judge of that!

Katie has worn the kimono since we got home, but only once - to show Grammy! I'm hoping next year she will get good use out of itas both Michael and Emily had to do country projects in K5! :confused3

Yes indeed - it was a great night! :goodvibes

Those are AWESOME fireworks pictures!! I wish I could get pics like that on my camera! I love them! :thumbsup2

Shawn took a lot of pictures of Illuminations! The railing was a great "tripod"!

Wow....you have been an updating machine!!

First....I LOVE Katie's kimono! So adorable! And her little pose is priceless. :cutie:

Your TT pics are amazing. I love the ones where you can almost hear the girls giggling! You can tell they were having so much fun!

Shawn's night pictures are amazing! I've never seen such beautiful, clear pictures of fireworks. Hat's off to him! :thumbsup2

Did you happen to see the Dinner:Impossible episode on Food Network where Chef Robert does a Walt Disney World mission? He has to prepare a meal for 400 volunteers using food items from the Princess fairytales....and Remy comes to visit him in his kitchen! Way cute! It was on this past Tuesday... I DVRd it and watched it last night. :)

Thanks Missy! I love those Test Track pics too! I'm always such a scaredy-cat to take ride pics but I couldn't resist and now I'm so glad I've got them. I agree...you can almost hear them giggling!

I will pass the compliment on to Shawn for the pics! I'm so grateful to have him there to take them because all of my pictures are awful!

I did not see the Dinner Impossible episode. Wonder if they will re-play it? Sounds great!! :)

I love the pictures they turned out great!

Thanks so much! I loved that he was able to get so many nice ones! :goodvibes
