A Six Thousand Kilometer Road Trip to Disneyland and Back- TR has started on page 37!

It's only 75 more airmiles per ticket! So we should be able to pay it off. On a lot of things, if you don't have the full amount, you can just pay the difference, so hopefully you can do that with these too! :yay:

Either way, an extra day sounds so good to me! And you are right about it probably making it easier to sleep. One we won't be AS excited, and it will most definitely make us ready to pass out after driving for 10 hours then walking around for another 4 or 5!

Exactly my thoughts, I normally lay in bed too excited to sleep the night before Disneyland.

I mentioned adding another day to Dillon. I was expecting an "it won't be worth it" response. Nope. He is all for it. Proof that he is getting excited too!

Now I gotta check to see how many more airmiles that will cost us. My mom is pitching in some of the airmiles, so hopefully between the 2 of us, we will have enough!

Very cool. I am glad Dillon is getting excited. Scotty will be more excited when the time gets nearer.

That doesn't seem so bad!!

The first thing I plan to do, is head straight for the Refreshment Corner, and get a Mickey Mouse pretzel with the cheese dip. Then hopefully head over to Space Mountain. That is what my and I did first when we went 13 years ago. That's really all I remember about the order we did things in.

Adding this extra half-day has made me so much more excited!

Yay!!

Are you planning to repeat the things you did on your last trip?

Just that one thing. That's only thing I remember really about the first day. I remember almost everything we did, just don't know what order or anything like that. I do need to make sure I have a churro or 5 at some point. I do remember those being my favourite food item of the trip!

Everybody loves churros. I have enjoyed one or two but they are not among my favorites.

I do know that during our trip, we rode Space Mountain and Big Thunder 4 times each. Those we our favourites. We only did IASM once, it was ok, but we weren't the hugest fans.

We were there for the early Toon Town entry. But there was no characters to greet us like they do now. We did go to Mickey's house to meet him though.

We got to see the Lion King Parade, and the Electrical Parade. That was why we were there to begin with. They were supposed to be retiring it, and we all wanted to see it before it went away. We saw it probably 3 times. And got a video, which I still have.

We went on Splash Mountain twice and bought a picture one of the times. The other time my Dad took a picture of the view just as we were about to drop. Wasn't the greastest picture, as it was taken from a disposable, but it is still a great memory.

We went and saw the Tiki room where my Dad proceeded to fall asleep and start snoring :rolleyes1

Went into the Haunted Mansion a few times. I remember we were so shocked to find it was a ride. We didn't find out until they were loading us into the carts. We had only ever had to walk through haunted houses before.

I remember taking the train and the monorail at least twice a day to get a rest.

I remember finding it funny that Coca-cola and McDonald's Egg McMuffins tasted so different compared to ours here.

And I remember lots more, but those were some of the key ones in my head.

Everybody loves churros. I have enjoyed one or two but they are not among my favorites.

They sell Churros at the Calgary Stampede, and I got one the year after we went to Disneyland, and it just wasn't the same. I don't know if it just wasn't as fresh or what, but I haven't had another one since. I just remember how warm and soft they were. Mmmmmm!

I have had churros other places that I just didn't like them at all. It was like they were over cooked.

Don't go into this trip with set ideas of it going to be the same because believe me it has all changed around Disneyland. Honestly the area around the park you won't even recognize it.

Yeah I am not expecting a lot to be the same. It almost feels like this is my first trip. I am hoping the churros will be the same, but after 13 years, I am certainly prepared to handle it if they are different! If I don't like them, I am sure there will be something new I will love!

I have only heard positive things about the churros, I don't think they have changed. But I was told they changed the corn dogs and it broke my heart.

I don't remember much else about the food. I remember getting the Mickey pretzels, but don't really remember if I loved them or not. Only that that was the first thing we did, and the memory of actually being in Disneyland!

I love the pretzels and the cheese sauce. That is the one thing that Kody really wants. Well, that and a chimichanga.

I have to say I don't know what a Chimichanga is.

It's like a deep fried burrito. They were big enough last time we were there that the girls shared one. I like the deep fried turkey legs. Scotty and I shared one last time.

Those both sound so good! Mmmm!

I read yesterday that PCH has chocolate, peanut butter and banana french toast! Mmmmm! I would be fine with just the banana and the french toast. I almost want to go home and make some right now!

I have heard that the banana french toast is to die for.

I will probably end up making some tonight, which means I need to work out extra hard at the gym before hand!
