I am glad you are okay, but your new car...that's no good. How bad is it?

I had a guy back into us in the church parking lot once. We were leaving church, and the traffic was bumper to bumper. I saw him coming, but couldn't move to get away, and as I was honking and saying, "Don't do that" inside my car (he couldn't hear me), he did it anyway. He was the grandfather of one of Trent's friends, and he jumped out saying it was 100% his fault, too.

A teenage girl who was out practice driving with no license hit accelerate at a stop sign once instead of the brake pedal, and she slammed me and spun me around into a telephone pole. Again, 100% her fault, but that one was a granddaddy wreck compared to the church parking lot one!

I'll be happy for the video whenever I get it, of course.

I forgot to tell Jill to PM you her tentative plans for October. I know they're going to MNSSHP on the 7th, but other than that, I haven't really looked at her plans.

It was very minor and its being taken care of as we speak. I was stopped for oncoming traffic in a lane and she slowly but surely backed in to my car. Some small dents and the repair is $780 but luckily i don't have to pay!

We got back to our room, and we were in for a treat!! We actually got off the bus and decided to film how close our room was to the lobby, but we didn't expect to see this guy out the window! And whats funny is that in the video you can hear our reaction, which are hilarious!! But yeah, check it out!!

We were the first room off the lobby on the ground floor, so to the left of our balcony was the public viewing area, and we shared some excitement with our new friends! Than we raced out of the room down the hall to get a better view, man we were excited!! We couldn't believe it, there was a GIRAFFE OUT OUR WINDOW!!

We came back and scrambled to call the folks and we attempted a video chat with mom and dad! We couldn't get the laptop all the way outside but they could see and they were excited!! Dad named him Irving, and yes our little irving came by every now and than for the rest of the week!!

Here is the original video complete with my explanation of "the check in story" and a tour of the AKL lodge!

So we relaxed a bit in the room after that excitement and about 7:15 we decided to head over to mini golf!!

On the way out here is a lobby shot:

We chose fantasia gardens after hearing nice things about it, so we took the bus to AK and than from there we went to the swan which worked well.

We walked from the Swan to the golf course which is what they tell you to do, but do yourself a favor and walk through the hotel to the back...its a longer walk from the bus station in the FL heat!!

When we got there we had to wait 30 minutes, and than it was our time to golf!!

David really liked this, but it didn't hold my attention towards the end, I kept seeing the fireworks from fantasmic which was cool but since we missed it I was mad I wasn't watching it!

Oh yeah, i forgot about that, i don't know my own strength!

After our golf ended, we decided to walk through Epcot to catch the bus back to AKL, we found out that Epcot was having EMH so we decided to stick around!! We walked through the boardwalk which was a fun walk, I really love this place at night! It was so pretty and there was magician...One day I want to stay here or in the epcot resort area!!

We made it to Epcot and had a blast at EMH! We decided to FP MS before it was too late, David was happy about that! Than we walked back through WS just briefly because the next morning was our Epcot morning, so we weren't planning on doing too much! I was excited to get my elephant ear from France but when we got over there I found out they no longer have them. WHAT??? I was so upset! I couldn't believe it!

Defeated, we walked back to use our FP. We went on the green side (more intense? or is that orange? whichever is more intense) and David was so excited to finally get on this ride!!

Mission space is awesome, gary sinise is there he is my hero. if you go on this ride and you have never been on it don't look to your side on the intense version.

So we finally went to bed on our 'day off' ready to start the next day, g'night irving!

That's too bad about France not having your elephant ear, I suffered a similar disappointment on my trip so I know how you feel.

Oh, so it was really an end of the first day of the school week so you need anything you can to get you through 'til Friday video treat.

And it was great! I hope you had the camera rolling a lot on your trip. I enjoyed walking through Animal Kingdom Lodge with you guys. Your room was in a great spot, and Irving was right there to greet you!

When we get around to staying in deluxes, Wilderness Lodge will be our first, because that's the one Trent really wants to stay at, and AKL will be second. For now, we go over there almost every trip for shopping, visiting Irving and his friends, and having a zebra dome or two.

I look forward to seeing much more of the fun!

You had a giraffe right outside your room!!! That is so awesome!!! I will have to show my DD, Chelsea, when she wakes up since she is currently on a giraffe kick -- she will love the pics and video!!!

That's so awesome that you had a giraffe just outside your window!! Irving, that's so cute.

I'm jealous that you did M:S, we didn't get to do it when we were there in April. I would have to ride the less intense side. The last time I rode was a few years ago, before they had two sides, and I almost got sick. I was between my brother and a stranger, and I was concerned about ruining the ride for the stranger forever. My brother would have forgiven me.

Great update! Isn't it so cool at the AKL to just look out your window and see all those animals?! Unfortunately when we were there in May there weren't too many because of the construction so if we wanted to see the animals we had to go to the other observation areas. But on our last day there was a giraffe right outside. I think we must've been in the same room as you (or very close) only up a couple more floors because we were really close to the lobby as well. That view looks very familiar!

Wow, I just finished reading and I am loving it so far. I think it's great that you and your brother get along so well. My brother and I get along a lot better now that we are older, but when we were younger, there is no way we would have been able to stand eachother to go anywhere together! You are really lucky and I hope you always stay this close!! Anyway, can't wait to hear more!!

Lucky to have such a great room, view and close to lobby. Giraffe pics are so special. I can only dream of staying there. Glad to hear David got to ride MS. I will never ride that, I'm too afraid of getting sick. Not worth the chance since I have suffered from Vertigo before, not fun at all. I'm happy for anyone who can ride it, it sounds like an experience. You have had bad luck with several food items this trip. They will always have Dole Whip so you'll never be dissapointed there !!!
