A Sister & Brother Return! The Trip Report! Updated 10/31--Page 23!

If DH had known about apple pie, we would not have skipped over the America pavillion for food. ;)

I always like interaction with the "talking" characters.

Good update. I love the picture of you and Mary Poppins. David's mask looks really cool too. Believe it or not, Kerri and I made masks plus got all the tags from all the countries. It was a lotta fun! Looking forward to more.

:scared1: Look at all the people! Are they headed to Soarin' or headed out of Soarin'?

The joker says...WHY SO SERIOUS??

Loved the mask! I agree with Alice - wouldn't it be great to pop in and out of holes right at the rides you love most and avoid all those crowds!

David's joker mask looks awesome. I like his lanyard, too (I got the exact same one for my keys ;) Makes it a LITTLE harder to lose them.)

I love your Test Track picture. I have a similar one :rotfl: We love posing on rides and have even had discussions beforehand about what we should do.

Posing on rides is a lot of fun, especially when you know where the camera is! The joker was my idea :)

great update and pics.

that was some serious rain. :scared1:

Yeah it was pretty bad

Dis Celebs!!! Did MeMom make a surprise visit?

Haha! :goodvibes

Soarin' is my favorite Epcot ride! :goodvibes

I'll have to remember that there is great apple pie in the American pavillion.

Can't wait to see Irving and his friends!

The apple pie is more like an apple cylinder, but still good!

 I am loving David's Joker mask. :thumbsup2

My idea!

I could very easily be talked into this....

I suggest May 18th-23rd 09 for this girls only trip. ;)

I am flexible!! Lets do it :)

Lots of good pictures! I am so glad you got to see your good friend, Mary Poppins!

I like getting pictures of the empty side streets in World Showcase. Without all the tourists in the pictures, you can appreciate the architectural detail Disney put into each country.

David looks good in his hat. He seems to be enjoying himself on this magical trip.

I love the WS because of its detail! Its so much fun to know how much thought that was put into it. I loved seeing mary poppins!

Oh, I feel sure it was someone(s) much more exciting than MeMom!

I think we're all even on the exciting scale :)

Its more like an apple cylinder lol the way its presented, but its really good!

The mask thing is such a great and free way to see all the different countries, i'll do it each time im in epcot for this reason!

:scared1: Look at all the people! Are they headed to Soarin' or headed out of Soarin'?

They were heading INTO soarin at around 9:10!!!...Alice was a fun interaction!

oh goodness, I missed this update!

I knew there was apple pie in America at Epcot, but I had no idea that it was good. ?? Who would have thought?

I am totally in love with AKL now! What a totally amazing room you had!

btw...when are you going in Dec?

I was surprised at the apple pie!! I will be there Dec 11th-15th :)

When we got back to the room we opened the shades to see if our good friend Irving was outside, turns out he was! And he brought along some friends!!! A zebra!!!

We were so excited to see an animal party going outside our room, but it was time for our trip to AK, i had a date with a parade I had never seen!

Our first stop was to FP Everest, return time was right before closing of the park, but we weren't sure we'd be around that long...we took them anyway. On the way towards dinosaur we decided to stop for finding nemo the musical, but it wasn't set to start for a while and we didn't want to wait, so we continued on.

We went on one of our favorites Dinosaur, and our picture is hilarious! Its one of my favorites!!

David's Thoughts: It's one of the best pictures we have of the trip!

We decided to walk towards the Pangani trail, but then had a change of heart about everest, we really wanted to go on. The wait time posted was 40 minutes, but we just figured we would wait. On our way to the standby line someone grabbed us and asked us if we wanted to join them in the fast pass line...of course we did! Apparently they had a weird kind of fast pass from their family, but 4 of their family members didn't want to go on the ride, and they couldn't use the fastpass unless all members of their party were there! The FP guy let us all in, and we were on everest in no time!

David: As I stated that day, I still believe it was karma for giving that kid my rice krispie treat at the colonial america pavillion.

A mutually beneficial situation, but nonetheless appreciated!! We had a great time on everest!! We headed towards Africa to stake our parade spots, everyone is right about this parade, its virtually empty! We sat down and relaxed and waited for the parade to begin!

This parade is just awesome!!

And i had a special character interaction!! When chip came around, he blew me a kiss, which I blew him a kiss back, and he acted bashful and than did the hand gesture for "call me" I was smitten! Chip is now one of my favorite disney characters, and this came in to play for the rest of the trip!!!

David's Thoughts: She never shut up about Chip. She's madly in love with him now.

But back to the parade, i'm so glad we made this trip to AK just for it, its wonderful and so colorful!!

After my chip encounter I scowered a few gift shops for a chip pin to no avail, so we went to the bird show which I have never seen. We both found this really funny and very interesting, yay for disney shows!!

David's Thoughts: We met Frasier Crane

Next up was its tough to be a bug. We really like this show, and on the way out, I learned David knows a lot of spanish! He spoke to a guy in front of us in spanish, and I had no idea my brother could do that! My spanish reaches "por favor montangenese allejado de las puertas"

On the way out we gave away our EE FP and we got back to the room about 7, so we had an hour and a half to relax before dinner! We did just that, and at 8:20 it was nice to know all we had to do was walk downstairs to get to dinner, no having to take any buses anywhere!! That was really nice!

We checked in and were seated in no time. We walked to our table, and David wanted to see if he could order the jungle juice that they serve for breakfast. Turns out he could, so he was a happy camper! He was eager to get something to eat so he raced out of his chair and was a little ahead of me when I proceeded. As I walked past a table that was in front of us, 2 extremely odd people stopped me and went "HEY HEY HEY! Stop it right there!! ARE YOU NICOLE???" to which I softly replied "why yes that is me, to whom am I speaking with?" and they were like "HOMIE! WE'RE YOUR PALS FROM THE D-I-S!"

Okay okay, it didn't go exactly like THAT....it went more like "Hey are you nicole?" and of course I am so I called David back who was about a mile ahead of me already and introduced him. He already knew ahead of time about people we might meet from the DIS, specifically Pooksma, Declansdad, and TCKK because we had a meet in a few days. We chatted for a few seconds, and said we would see each other on saturday :)

Of course, I was adventurous with my choosing and my plate was filled with yummy things that you better not tell me whats in them or I won't like them anymore!!

IMG_5004.jpg

really dig the crab soup they have though, I had about 2 bowls of that! David kept it more on the plain side of things, but he was eager for dessert.

IMG_5005.jpg

IMG_5003.jpg

He loved his zebra dome, but as you can see from this picture, he was unsure of whether to try this assortment of desserts, when he did, he loved it!!

IMG_5008.jpg

We had a great time at Boma meeting some friends and were eager for the next day!

I leave you with a video of the Boma desserts!

Both the Dinosaur and Everest pictures are great! It's nice to get and to give Fastpasses!

I love the Jammin' Jungle Parade! So, did you call Chip yet, or are you playing hard to get?

Your food looks good. I enjoyed the video, and I think the sugar cookies were definitely of the African variety.

How nice to meet some very special Disers! No picture of that mini-meet?

Jill has your phone number, so you guys can meet up at Pop either the 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th before they leave. You're checking in on the 8th - is that right? I'm not sure what time they're being picked up by Magical Express on the 11th. I'm going down to keep Brooklynn this morning while they go out for a while, so I'll see if I can get a loose itinerary from her and get back to you.

Thanks for the update. I like the videos. We'll have to do more of that in the future.

You need to change your title so we can find your updates kiddo!

I am so darn excited to eat at Boma. I love crab. I bet that soup is yummo! I love it when you meet DIS friends at WDW. It makes it like one big Disney family!

That is so cool about those fast passes. Going from a 40 minute wait to no wait, must have been great!

Your brother's interjections are so funny!

Another great update. I love the pics of the animals outside your window and of the AKL parade. I've never seen that one. I'll have to put that on the list for next time. Also your food at Boma looks really good. We did breakfast there, but looks like I "need" to try dinner there. ;) Loved the Dinosaur and Everest pics too. Too much fun :thumbsup2

Just finished reading the last 10 or so pages :) I'm all caught up now. You guys are really having an awesome time! Was it David's first time to taste Beverly? Looked like he was ready to barf!

Oh my gosh, I think your Dinosaur picture is the best ride picture I've ever seen. Not kidding. :lmao: That is priceless!

So cute about Chip! I really love character interactions like that.

I love Boma. My sister got pretty much what David got, minus the chicken. I think that she got some hummus for the flatbread, which was quite adventurous for her. :)

I vividly recall saying, "Yo, yo yo Homie! What's up?"

Love the EE picture. I have never seen anyone reach out and grab that front ba before David.

lol no i've had the drink before. She just came up to me, camera in hand, and handed me a cup. I was a little suspicious, but it was ridiculously hot, I didn't really care. So I drank it. Now I think she realizes why I inspect a lot of my food or drinks before eating or drinking it.
