Hi everyone,
I had posted last week about an issue I had with my room at the Boardwalk & wanted to know if in a similar situation, others might request a room change. On the advice of this board I did speak with concierge, who solved my issue by (unbeknownst to me at the time) upgrading me to club level. You can read all about my experience here if you like: https://www.disboards.com/threads/should-i-request-a-room-change.3694200/
What I really would like to say here though, is just how wonderful my interactions were with CM's at the Boardwalk during my trip, especially the CM's working on the club level lounge. It went beyond good service or even "Disney service", they were really good people plain & simple.
Unfortunately it is highly unlikely that I will be repeating this particular stay in the near future despite how wonderful it was. I am just not yet at the stage of life or income bracket that allows for club level, though I am young & have hope & the desire to work hard lol.
So in the event that I don't see my new friends too soon, if you are at the Boardwalk & come across Lorenzo or Joe in the club lounge, chef Reggie at the Flying Fish or in the club lounge, or John in maintenance, please know you are in good company! And tell them their Canadian friend has put the word out on their awesomeness lol.
If you use a mobility device & need any simple repairs I highly recommend asking for John as he was very helpful where others were not. I just needed some oil for a squeaky wheel so keep in mind I was comfortable just asking a handy-man rather than a specialized place, but still he was great and had lots of stories of his time working at WDW.
