I will start this off by saying I do understand these things happens, nor am I claiming fault of anyone. I just simply don’t know if I’ve ever experienced a day like this as this morning.

DW and myself eager for our final DHS day of our honeymoon trip. Head out to the bus stop at about 8:45 (perhaps late) and the bus stop is backed up with multiple buses worth of guests also waiting to go to DHS. So we Lyft instead. We get stopped at the parking lot entrance for 20-minutes (okay, could be worse). But you know what, it’s still only 9:22 as we’re passing the turnstiles. Great day.

Get in line for MMRR, estimated 25-minute wait upon the start of operation, not bad at all. The ride begins operating around 9:33 it seemed. We wait our 20-minutes or so, about to get on the ride and it breaks down. Told it’ll be at least 45-minutes to reset the system. But they offered FP so we grabbed that and moved on.

10:00 rolls up, virtual queue opens. We get group 3! Fantastic. Except ROTR isn’t operating due to technical difficulties. SDD currently a 60-minute wait, Toy Story Mania at 30- minutes, RnR and ToT at 45-minutes. So we go ride Toy Story. Come off and see SDD is not operating (on top of the massive line)

Finally get out ROTR return time. And get on the ride. We got through although there did appear to be some audio and animatronic glitches throughout. Move on to MMRR. And our ride car stops in the waltz room with Daisy. Only about 5-8 minutes.

Get off and check my app. ToT is listed as down. RnR it is. 25-minute wait. Until there’s technical difficulties while in line. About another 15-minute delay.

Not sure if these are cleaning shut downs or DHS is having a bad day. Just had to comment. Haha

I’m so sorry you’re having a rough day - we ran into a ton of similar issues yesterday at Universal and it was so frustrating and made for a crabby pair of newlyweds. BUT by the end of the day everything seemed to go a lot smoother and we wound up having a great time and able to do everything we wanted (even losing about 2 hours in the afternoon to weather).

I know it’s hard but try to stay positive!

We go next Friday so I’ve been watching the wait times today. There seemed to be a lot of issues! So sorry this happened to you, but glad you still got to ride many rides!

not sure what mode of transportation you plan on utilizing but from our experience at least, give yourself plenty of time. Plus, the park “Opens” at 10, but they’re letting guests in early (I was in as early at 9:22 today) and rides have begun operating anywhere between 9:30 and 9:45. We saw those times with MMRR and SDD. Not sure if there’s rhyme or reason to who starts when but we’ve seen it across all 4 parks and that’s been our experience.

I’m interested in more about the FP situation — so they’re giving them out if rides break down? How does that work? I thought they didn’t have the FP queues separate from the regular line.

At both Disney and UO a handful of times I saw guests utilizing the FP/EP queues - I know at UO they have Express Pass as normal (although not many people seemed to be using it) but my guess was at Disney it was either because of recovery for an earlier ride breakdown or DAS.

The line entrance is there, and many attractions may have a cast member there. When returning I was asked if I had “reserved a time”, not really sure what that was about, idk if there’s premium tours or something.

but to directly answer your question, idk if it’s hit or miss, bc earlier in my trip I was stuck on ROTR for about an hour with it broken down with no offer. However with MMRR, they offered it as soon as it broke down. The fast pass was valid for any FP attraction (not ROTR), and you utilize the FP line as normal.

Not sure about any premium tours running at the moment (I didn't think they were but could be wrong), BUT "reserving a time" is also lingo that some use with DAS. Technically it's "getting a return time" but some say reserving even though it's not actually a reservation. I've definitely heard both used, though.

very well possible. I was simply guessing
