Pete hit on this a bit on yesterdays podcast, but I felt the need to continue it.
Pete, John and Kevin have such a chemistry that they can seamlessly finish each others thoughts and instantly bring up something from 10 years ago. In fact everyone on the shows can jump in at any time to complete the subject (and occasionally go off topic) but Pete nailed it yesterday. I think I (we) take for granted the effort that goes into a show like the Dis, but then I watch other podcasts and shake my head wondering.

I really wasn't sure how things would go after the loss of Dustin, but now we know for certain. Watching live yesterday, and nearly having a seizure from the flashing, I was hit by how much the folks in the nook have to handle while still participating in the discussion. Bottom line is the Craig is filling some very big shoes with his very big feet. The in park footage and short podcasts are amazing. I even have become a fan of the Universal show.

I love the additions (JL, Ryno, Steve, and especially Jackie) but if annual review time is approaching, Pete needs to look at Craig's salary. Please note that @Teleclashter is not paying me for this endorsement.

but, but if they raise Craig's salary then they will have to up what they charge the viewers of the Podcasts!!!!! .....

... wait, you guys don't pay anything? Then who am I sending those checks to?!?!?!

seriously though - you all do a great job and I think all the work and effort and great output from the D23 coverage was a prime example of that!

I don't think anyone will be surprised by what I'm about to say because we all know Craig's my favorite and I love a good Craig appreciation-fest.

I really am blown away by how much Craig does. He produces the podcast every week, and I'm sure that he helps Ryno with the production work on the Universal Show when necessary. He produces the Daily Fix a few times a week, and creates a decent amount of video content for the youtube channels.
Plus, he's in the parks twice a week, so it's not like all he does is sit in front of a computer all day.

Maybe it's because I'm relatively new to the podcasts (I started watching just before Dustin left), but I can't imagine the show without Craig. Don't get me wrong - every member of the team contributes in a great way and I would miss every single one of them if they left (including Steve, who I was making fun of a bit in chat yesterday). But I really can't imagine the show without Craig. In the short time that he's been the producer, he's done so much, and it was great to hear that Pete truly appreciates all of his hard work.

I really am amazed at the content that the team puts out - from the daily fix to the weekly podcasts, from ride videos to short vlogs, from Steve's articles to Jackie's lists of trip planning threads, from the week's news to some great dining reviews ... the DIS really is a one-stop shop for all things Disney, and I'm so thankful that they're able to give us all of this content for free.

But back to the original topic ... Craig is awesome.

I'm not sure if it was Craig or Steve replying to the chatteratti yesterday, but they were on point.

He's okay.
This coming from Bob, a man who spends 3 hours a day at work playing with marbles, 2 hours (and 4 martinis) for lunch, then an hour figuring out which cast members to fire next to increase profits. This isn't about you Mr. Iger; this is about the people who put their tee shirts on every day and do their work.

I'm always all for complimenting any and all member of the The Team for giving me such important parts of my life on a consistent (and consistently awesome!) basis!

I agree that Craig is a great part of the team and his sense of humor is right up my alley! I very much enjoy his contributions to the shows and can only imagine how much he is doing behind the scenes that we do not even see. However, I think that he takes a fair bit of flack from Pete and it makes me cringe sometimes. Pete, it's your show and I can understand the perfectionist thing, but cut the guy some slack here and there. As a listener, it's a bit awkward to hear some of your comments towards Craig which may be good natured in your own way but sometimes come across the audio as snarky. It's sometimes like hearing a manager "talk" to his subordinate in the customer area, if you know what I mean. With that said, you run your show how you want to and that is your business. Having heard you praise your team on a regular basis, I hope and believe that you appreciate all of them greatly and I hope Craig is a satisfied and happy employee. This is just my observation and opinion as a listener.

Best to the team and I do very much enjoy the shows!

As someone who sees some of the "behind the scenes" work that goes into the show, I can definitely say that I agree. Great job to @Teleclashter for bringing a new dimension to the show and all that goes with it!

I think this is how the show works so well. Pete busts on everyone and Craig gets his fair share of shots in too. They really all seem to gel as a family would at thanksgiving (though not one at the Liberty Tree Tavern). We all have that cranky uncle and super chipper aunt while dad tries to keep things in line and mom keeps working to make the food come out at the right time. It's a weekly family gathering.

I love Craig. My appreciation for him skyrocketed after Dustin left. He really stepped up to the plate and kept everything sailing smoothly. And the cynicism, oh the cynicism! I love it all.

Craig is an absolute gem. He really stepped up to the plate when Dustin left. Had to be scary but he made it work. Nothing but kudos & good words for Craig. ::yes::

For a guy that seems to have made his own language at times and despite his redundancies and non sequiturs, he's all right.....I value his opinions, especially when it comes to Univesal.

Stacy, I think it's the kind of thing that if you were watching you might feel differently. I believe Pete holds Craig in the highest regard.

I agree, I haven't noticed anything particularly negative when i've been watching.

I also agree that Craig is awesome!

Sadly, I never have the time to watch the shows - I can only listen on my daily commutes. Happy to read that the video editions do not come across as snarky :) Would like to add that I am a little late and just started listening to the March 8th show this morning and it was great to hear Pete make a point of thanking Craig for his good work. That must be the impetus for this thread and that's great!
