A review of All Star Movies

Hi,

I just got back from a long weekend at Disney World. I wanted to visit all the resorts at WDW- and take advantage of the free dining! My home resort was Pop, but here is what I noticed about AS Movies:


The rooms were small, with one sink and two double beds.

The theming is awesome. I just love the Toy Story section.

The walk from the furthest room in the 3 building/ Mighty Ducks (room 3933) was 7 minutes to Cinema Hall. The bus stop at Cinema Hall is not covered. (A note about my timing of the walk- I did not have kids, stroller, cranky husband or packages, but I am just shy of 5' tall so I do not walk fast).

The gift shop, like all the ones I visited, had your typical souvies (tees, pins, etc) as well as sundries like deoderant, toothpaste, diapers and even items to make sure that your trip next year doesn't include another family member .

There were life jackets at the pool. The arcade was huge. I found the arcades at the Values bigger than the mods and deluxe.

Laundry was $2 per wash or dry. Detergent and dryer sheets were $1.25. There was a change machine, too.

Those value resorts really are the exact same except for the theme! I could see how DizGeek got confused, but I really did time everything and walk around and go into the laundry rooms, etc.

It is also pretty strange for someone (namely, me) to spend their vacation visiting EVERY resort. Besides the extreme heat (heat index was 100 degrees), I really enjoyed seeing the different resorts and eating at different restaurants.

I will tell you that the ASMovie is the BEST!! We were treated excellantly!! My son was treated like a little prince. We loved it, it is better than the pictures on the Web. It starts the Disney experience from the moment you pull up to the gates and here...."Welcome Home" from the gate keeper, then you see huge stars that line the side of the Building which is also bus the stop, you also see GIANT oversized luggage which belongs to Goofy I do believe. I loved the beautifully decorated rooms. It was just a neat experiance. That resort made me feel like a kid again. Guest services was unbelievable, they were so accomodating!!! We are staying at the CBR this coming may we will miss the ASMOVIE but I am hoping to like the CBR just as much. I hope that this review helps someone.

We love walking the resort at ASMo, but we are trying for ASMu next trip. They are showing nightly movies, but i am surprised they would do that at ASMu instead of ASMovies?
