A Reunion 14 years in the Making! PTR June 5-12 Updtd 6/3/10

I hope I still have someone reading this.

We are beyond excited. DS 8 & DS 6 get here tomorrow! We are already talking about starting to pack, and the countdown is on.

DH & I are like little kids counting down the days. Work was especially stressful this week so it's going to make our vacation all that more sweet.

Not to mention this is going to be a short week with the holiday and all.

So what's new? Well LOTS....

I now sell Avon on the side and I'm excited that I completed my first order successfully. It all started with ordering sun screen for the trip and I decided to look into selling it. Hey before you shake your heads...my sales paid for everything I got plus some. Anyway, I HAVE to have their sun screen because...1) It's waterproof, 2) It smells good, 3) It has natural bug guard in it without the smell!! We typically only have to apply once a day as well. This year I needed to get some of the aresol (sp) kind. Shhh... don't tell them I said this, but DH and DF both need it for their heads. Don't want their scalps to burn...that would ruin a great day easy.

I got my hair cut, and not a trim....I got 10 inches cut off!!! This is the 4th time I have donated my hair to Locks of Love. I just truly believe in the cause and I'm so blessed to have been able to help out.

My hair is on the short side now, but it's cute and should be perfect for the hot Florida sun. I will have to get DH to take a picture so I can post it.

My birthday was this week. princess: And I asked everyone for money so I could save it to buy something at Disney. A few years ago I bought some 8 x 12 color prints while I was there and we have them hanging in our entry way. I want to get something a little bigger to add to it or to put in our formal dining room. (Yes I know, you guys are probably the only one's that understand that!!)

DH & I are finally in good health (I bette knock on wood). I have lost 7 pounds (should have been more but every little bit helps) and have been walking more. I got a great deal at Khol's. My aunt gave me a gift card for my birthday, I got a $10 off card in the mail and they were on sale. So I got brand new breast cancer awareness Nike's for $18!!! Can you believe it? I am so cheap when it comes to me, I haven't had new tennis shoes in 5 years!! What? The other one's still worked.

So I have been promising our plans for our trip...so I am going to post them. I need to explain my terminology. Green is the least crowd predicted park, yellow is middle of the road crowding for the time, and red is an I told you not to do it park.

So here we go:

Friday June 4th.

We are leaving here about 1 pm to start our drive. The drive will take??? Depends on who you trust. Our GPS says 14 hours. Yahoo maps says 17 1/2 hours. It took us 17 hours from Dallas, so I'm estimating 16-17 hours realistically. The kids are spoiled, we have a video system in the car, so they can watch tv. The plan is that DH will take the first shift of driving and drive until dark. I am going to try and nap while he drives. I will drive through the night. I am a much better night driver than he is, so it works out for us.

Saturday June 5th.

We arrive around 8-9 am Disney time and go to our hotel. I'm sure our room won't be ready yet, but by chance we will try. We are staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins this trip. We have never stayed here before, but I think for the 6 of us it will work out great. (the 1st, 1st of the trip) We are planning to stop by Wally World to pick up some supplies. Milk, bread, etc. We might wait until after we find out if our room is ready first. Anyway, we will get our room keys and our key to the world cards so we can head to a park if we want to. I'm sure we won't be able to stand being that close and not being in a park for long.

SO the parks we are looking at for this day are:

Epcot (green day) Park hours 9 - 9
Magic Kingdom (green day) 9 - 10

We have dinner reservations at the Coral Reef at 5:20 pm. I am looking forward to the Lobster Bisque. I was really lucky on our dinning ressies this year. I couldn't believe the times I was able to get. Especially for the GG group of 9 starting Monday. I am thinking a half day at each park for a start to the most awesome vacation ever! I am thinking we will be back at the hotel around 8-9 pm and call it an early night.

Sunday June 6th (DF's birthday)

Today is our first real full day of Disney!!

We are planning on going to MK today.

Tonight we are planning on a late night and really enjoying the day with our family.

Monday June 7th GG begins (3rd, 1st this trip)

DF, DSM, and DSis arrive today around 3-4 pm

We are going to Epcot today.

MK 9-11 Green
EP 9-9 Green
DS 9-7 EMH 9-10 pm Green
AK 9-7 EMH 8-9 am RED

We don't have any dining ressie's today. I thought it would be better today with My dad and company arriving. I wanted to let them be able to rest and relax if they wanted to.

DF and co are very excited to be getting here. I have added to all our ressie's that we have so many birthdays around our trip. DSM & I both had birthdays in May, DF, DH, & DS 10 all have birthdays in June, and DSis has a birthday in August. So, I'm hoping for some extra's during our trips.

Tuesday June 8th

We are starting the GG in full force today. We are heading to Disney Studios today. (This will always be MGM to me...but I digress)

Parks outlook today:
MK 9-11 pm EMH 8-9 am RED

DS 9-7 pm Green
AK 9-7 pm Green/Yellow day we'll call it puice

We have dinner ressie's at Mama Melrose @ 5:25 pm. I am looking forward to the tomato & mozzarela salad...yummy! No Fantasmic tonight so crowds should be lighter. We might head over to Epcot when DS closes since they are having EMH's tonight.

Wednesday June 9th

Today is a big day for our GG. We are planning a GG breakfast @ 9 am (4th, 1st this trip) at Tony's with the characters. And dinner in the castle @ 5:35 pm. This has changed to include characters now so we are VERY excited. (5th, 1st this trip) We have never had dinner in the castle before. I'm looking forward to the food.

Park outlook today:
MK 9-10 pm Green
EP 9- 9 pm Green/Yellow (Puice)
DS 9-7 pm EMH 8-9 am Red
AK 9-7 pm EMH 7-10 pm Red

Double dinning ressie's today and the 2 credit meal at CC means we will have to pay for one TS (Table Service) Out of Pocket. I am thinking the MM meal on Tuesday. I really like the apps and salad's best here, so I probably won't be getting a meal there.

Thursday June 10th

Holy park bad days. Orange all over the place. We are planning on AK for most of the day and then head over to Epcot for dinner.

Park outlook

DS 9-9 pm & F! night Yellow/Red (Orange?)
AK 9-7 pm Green

Dinning ressie's Teppan Edo 6 pm. We all LOVE this place and are really looking forward to it. I think we will take advantage of the EMH's tonight and enjoy some of the less heat at night.

Friday June 11th Our last day :sad2:

We are heading to EP today. I am thinking that after dinner we will head to MK for a while. I always have to say goodbye to MK the last night.

Park outlook
MK 9-11 pm EMH 11-2 Green/Yellow (puice)
EP 9-9 pm Green
DS 9-9 pm RED
AK 9-7 pm Green

We have dinner ressie's at Le Cellier @ 5:50 pm. We LOVE this place. Can't wait for an awesome steak and the pretzle bread sticks.

Sleep in, pack, and load the car up. DF & Co have an early flight out today, so they will leave before we get up. Once we've packed up we will hit the road and come home. :sad2: I can already predict the obsession will begin on the drive home for the next trip back. Even as I type this, I've felt the excitement to get there, the fun/euphoria of being there, and the let down of leaving. But that's for another discussion.

Please let me know if you are still reading along and what you think!

WE LEAVE TOMORROW!!!! WE ARE SO EXCITED!!

I will have lot's of pictures and dining reviews when I get back!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

Have a fantastic trip! Laugh much, eat well, wear sunscreen, eat well, stay cool, eat well, pack extra snacks, eat well, pace yourselves, eat well, take many glorious photographs, eat well, buy a t-shirt, oh and be sure to eat well.

For anyone still subscribed to this thread....I am currently writing the Trip Report!!!

Would love for you to join in on the fun, the drama, and the mania that is my family!!! :rotfl2:
