What are you doing the rainy Sunday afternoon? I am heading to Philadelphia to broadcast my syndicated radio program on diabetes! :cool1:

cleaning house and then going to a movie.....but it is not raining here. The sun is shining :sunny:

DD and I are getting ready to head out to the mall to finish up back to school shopping. My DH is working until 6:00 tomorrow morning so it's a girls day / night and we have a couple of chick flicks we are going to watch when we get home. I don't like rainy spells but I do love having an occassional rainy day where we can sit inside and lounge without feeling guilty. I may even bake when we get home, depending upon what time it is.

Is your show going to be aired in Boston at all? What station?

Its raining here--- sucks because we were supposed to be heading upstate to the Ren Faire today...now we put it off until next Sunday. Instead I am taking my daughter and 5 friends to pump it up for some open jump time.

Already went to the gym, so I think right now (almost noon) I'm going to take a short nap, and then take my daughter down to the store to get the last of her school supplies. :thumbsup2

That's very cool! Best wishes with that!! :)

I'm glad it's overcast/a little rainy here. It's the last weekend before school starts and I know my kids would love to be at the pool one last time, but I really need the day to organize things for the upcoming week, including the never ending paperwork that comes along with the start of school!

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!

Raining to beat the band here - forecast shows rain until Thursday! Looks like I'll be doing a lot of DISing; research on the Amish; and reading..:goodvibes

From now until Thursday there's the possibility of severe thunderstorms (which means the power could go out), but in terms of researching and reading, I've got that covered.. Orderd one of those "headlamps" (with the strap that goes around your head) from Amazon and received it this week.. I look like an idiot with that thing on my head, but I'm alone - so who's going to see me? At least this way I'll have things to do if the power goes out at night..

The last time it went out at night, I was reading one of my non-fiction Amish books - "Living Without Electricity" - LOL..:rotfl: How ironic is that? ;)

I went shopping and on the way back it began to POUR rain (we had umbrellas though!). I only was 10 blocks from home with my sister and we kept laughing so the walk went fast.

I am going to watch the rest of the baseball game and then finish up Snow Flower and the Secret Fan :)

Well, just got back from a week in Tennessee....

so it was a laundry, ironing kind of day. Even got up the gumption to clean out my closet. SOOOOO overdue, but it's almost done. Right now, it's an internet and peanut butter M&M break!!!

I kept saying all summer "well, it's too nice out to be______________", so since it is finally raining here, I have a list of things to do. So far I have:

1. Defrosted the freezer in the basement
2. Cleaned out 5 cabinets in the kitchen
3. Washed some dishes that haven't been taken out of the box yet
4. Did laundry
5. Put everything that was still good back in the freezer
6. Washed more dishes from the freezer
7. Did more laundry......

I think I'm tired now!:rolleyes:Hope the sun is shining tomorrow, or I'll have no excuse to keep going.

Nursing a hangover on the couch with chinese food and movies. The headache is worth every minute of the fun celebrating a good friends' 50th:thumbsup2

We have It's Complicated and also we have Fried Green Tomatoes which we have seen before but we both love it. Just got back from the mall a short time ago so I don't know if we'll fit both in. DD also wants to do facials and pedis.

I was out cheering on the riders at Power Stop 7 for the Livestrong Challenge Philadelphia. The cooler weather was good for the riders, but they could have done without the downpours that caused the 100 mile portion to be cut out.

Finished a book, took a nap and now going out to dinner with some friends. We had just gotten some subs and were getting ready to eat them when they called to go out. Subs were rewrapped and put into the frig.

After all the heat this summer it was nice to have a cool day.

Wow just reading your post made me tired time for another nap.

We went to the mall to pick up last minute things for our big Vegas trip next week-- the fire alarm went off! Of course, everyone continued with their shopping.
Then, we came home started (and are still) watching a Law and Order SVU marathon. Love a lazy rainy day!

Getting a little weird here - the past hour and a half or so..

My crew left very early today because it was raining so hard - around 3 p.m. - so no one is around.. The wind is whipping like crazy - along with huge "gusts" of wind - but it's not showing anything other than the rain on The Weather Channel or the local channels..

I keep hearing branches breaking and falling to the ground and a few banging up against my place here.. I'm completely surrounded by trees - as is the area where I have to park my car.. Have to say it's a bit unnerving..

I've seen flood warnings - but nothing about this blasted wind..:headache:
