We arrived at SSR at November 16 around 8:30p (we left NJ at 3:30a so we made great time). I had a new cm and she was lacking in her info but I didn't care. We were put in the Grandstand building. Our cm neglected to tell us about the path to the main building, so at first I hated the location but realized later how close we were.

Went to AK the first day and got Dream Fastpasses. We were thrilled even though the park was empty. We went to Yak and Yeti for lunch and it was quite yummy. My kids said it was their favorite restaurant now (even though they had the same mac n cheese as every where else). Hubby and I loved all the food, great egg rolls and the duck was delicious. We also had dinner at Morocco that night and was very happy, I was always afraid to try their food but we had a good time.

Off to MGM. DS tried to get picked for Star Wars but did not, we did enjoy that alot. We ate lunch at Mama Melrose for the first time in years and it was still ok. The Osbourne Lights were incredible and enjoyed them alot.

In MK we did the Castle Lighting show. I don't know if anyone else cries at these things but oh my gosh... it was beautiful!!! Loved it!! We also won Dream Fastpasses in MK so since it was really crowded it was a big plus. Lunch at The Plaza is also our favorite and this day was no different.

In Epcot we stuck to our favorite Coral Reef for lunch and still loved it!! We always have a good time in Epcot. We left around 3p to go to Hilton Head.

Checked into HH for 1 night (thata all I could get). We had a blast! We wanted to stay past Thanksgiving but had to go to the Westin. We like the Westin but you can not beat Disney's activities and family friendly.

We got back at midnight last night so I will try to post some pictures. Everything was great!!!

Glad you had such a nice trip! Thanks for sharing with us..

We were in WDW from 11/16-20. Can you tell me what days you did which parks; I'm interested how crowds seemed to you.
We went to Epcot on Saturday then AK on Sunday, got there at about 2 pm and FPs for Safari were gone already. Though the park didn't feel too crowded, and walkways were manageable. Blizzard Beach was Monday and it was NOT crowded, either because it was a bit cool for a water park (IMHO, but I like temps to be hovering at 90 when I'm walking around soaking wet) or because people usually save the water park for later in the week.

We went back to AK Tuesday (11/20) in the late morning (my son's fav park), our FP return time was for 1.5 hours later. But, the park was SO crowded, we could barely walk around. This was our fourth Thanksgiving-time trip to WDW, and it just seems to be getting more and more crowded. Of course, that's just my opinion....

We didn't even go to Studios or MK, since this was a short trip and we'll be back NYE.

Thanks for your report, I love to read other's reports when it coincides with my trip! Did you swim?? And how did you get Dream FPs TWICE??

I never saw the path to the main building. Thought there must have been one but never noticed it when we walked up to take a look at grandstand.

where is it?

Those were our dates exactly. We went to AK on Saturday and Epcot for dinner. AK seemed to be the least crowded. It was great! Saturday night at Epcot wasn't that bad , we only did a few things. Test Track said it was a 40 min wait and it was only 20. We walked around the countries to pick some snacks like wine in France and dessert in Norway.

Sunday in MGM was manageable until 2p. We left after lunch and came back at night for the lights, since it was during Fantasmic the crowds were light there as well. We went over to MK for EMH which was a little crowded. the park was open to midnight so right after it emptied out. We walked onto everything, that was nice.

Monday we were back in MK at 9a and it was alot more crowded and Tuesday we screwed up because I didn't realize Epcot opened at 8a and at 9a TT was 60 min and Soarin was 75 min. We got fastpasses at 9a to return at 1:40p at Soarin, quite crowded.

We usually go the week after Thanksgiving and this year decided not to go but we changed our minds at the last minute. We were lucky to get 2 dreamfastpasses but they were in the same location and same time as last year so there may have been some looking of the dream team at times. I can say Triceratop Spin around 10a and the exit for Tom Sawyer Island around 11a seem to be popular areas for the dream team. Not that I think that pre arranged pixie dust is "legal" but on crowded days its nice to magic strike you twice.

It was behind the pool and it lead you up to the front lobby where ME drops you off. Some one told my mother when she checked in.

Sounds like you has a great trip! We can't wait to our NYE trip and seeing all of the holiday shows and decorations.

How incredible that you won dream fastpasses on the first and third day at WDW. We have gone about 30 times this year and haven't even seen the dream team.
