We went on my DD's Make A Wish trip last week, just thought I'd give a quick review on the meals we had.
Magic Kingdom we had breakfast @ the Crystal Palace.
CP was good, not many people there when we got there. The characters were sweet. The kids liked the food. It's a breakfast buffet, so it is what it is, but not bad, tasted like every other breakfast buffet I've been to.
Lunch @ MK we did Cinderella's Royal Table, the food was really good I thought. The princesses were great, but they all came up so quickly I barely ate, LOL! They had lots to say to the kids, my DD will never forget it.
We had the Chef's tasting plate, I forgot to get a photo of it, but it was really yummy, the kids had cheddar cheese & grapes to start with. That was nice.
I had chicken
DH had the 3 times pork I think.
The kids both had chicken tenders.
DD had cupcake & DS had ice cream. I didn't take photos of those, but they had several little cups of toppings to add to their treats.
DH and I both had Chocolate Mousse and it was wonderful.
We had a Pineapple Dole Whip float, it was fantastic before we left for the day.
The next day we went to the Disney Junior Play & Dine character meal @ Hollywood and Vine. Same deal as the Crystal Palace, its a breakfast buffet. But the character interaction was the best! Lots of songs and dancing, the characters came to our table more than once. It was a lot of fun, I'd go again.
Lunch we did a QS meal @ Backlot Express, it wasn't the worst thing I've ever eaten, but it wasn't the best either. But it worked. I had chicken tenders, DH had a burger, the kids shared a hot dog w/ fries.
We ate at DTD that evening @ Raglan Road. I wasn't impressed with my dinner, but I think its just what I ordered and I was hot, a chicken pot pie wasn't be best idea when its 90 out.
The waiter recommend this appetizer, I can't remember the name of it, but DH wanted it, it was good.
I think the name of mine was Pie in the Sky
DH had the its not bleedin' chowder
The kids shared fish & chips. DD ate the fish & DS ate the chips, LOL!
And we had the bread pudding for dessert, it was wonderful! But too hot for it really that day.
Our last day @ Disney we had breakfast @ Tusker House, it again was a breakfast buffet, but the had more pastries than anywhere else and they had Krispy Kreme donuts. Yummy! I didn't take a picture because I basically got the same thing I had been getting.
The characters were great here too! You meet Donald outside and he doesn't sign autographs, but then inside you meet Mickey, Daisy & Goofy. After they had finished meeting everyone, Mickey lead a parade around & they handed out music makers to the kids. It was fun, my kids loved dancing around with Mickey.
Lunch we ate at Flame Tree BBQ. It was ok, I had ribs, DH had chicken. Mine was really dry. I think I should have gotten the pork sandwich. However, my onion rings were fantastic. The kids each had a kids meal, and ate every bite. DS had a PB&J and DD had a Hot Dog. It came w/ grapes, chocolate chip cookie & their drink.
And in Epcot we'd planned on eating at La Hacienda, but we decided to skip our reservation. Instead we had a snack in France.
DH had the cheese plate that came with bread & a beer, I had the cake of the day, it was chocolate and pretty good. DD had a strawberry tart & DS had chocolate mousse. IT was all great.
