I think that is about it for Osborne Lights pictures. Hopefully you didn't get bored with them!

There were a lot of people in the area, but you don't even really notice the crowds. Most lights are up high anyway, so you are looking up over the crowd. There were hidden mickeys all over the place. We didn't make it a point to find them all, but we did spot quite a few of them. I could have stayed there all night. I was so taken by it all.

The rest of my party wasn't so keen lol So we left DHS at about 8:00pm. Boo! We got back on a bus to CSR and it was a pretty empty bus, which was nice.

We got back to our room and put on our bathing suits, and went down to the hot tub for a bit. It was pretty busy at the pool tonight!

There always seemed to be children in the hot tub (even though the sign says that they shouldn't be - especially unsupervised). There was a little girl, maybe 3 years old that was in the hot tub swimming around by us. She had no floaties of any kind on. She was splashing more than I would have cared for, but other than that, she was pretty well behaved. Her mom was standing beside the hot tub, not saying anything when the girl splashed or hit someone (by accident, but still). Next thing I knew, my mom dashed over and pulled the little girl out of the tub because the girl had slipped off of the bench, couldn't touch the bottom, and couldn't swim!! My mom has a daycare and takes her kids swimming so she is really quick to act in these situations. The mom thanked my mom profusely and then she and her daughter left the area. How scary!! I was glad that everyone was alright, but this is exactly why those warning signs are put up.

We stayed there for a while longer, just talking about our day, our trip, future trips we were going to take :rotfl2:, and then we headed back to the room for the night!

Up Next… CSR morning and MVMCP!

Oh my GOSH!! your pictures of Osborne lights came out incredible!! I wish mine came out so well. The views you have are unreal. I will have to remember next time to not worry as much about getting the entire area & focus some on specific items/areas!

So scary about that little girl. I think sometimes people get so distracted "being on vacation" that they forget about rules, and how they are there for SAFETY reasons. I remember reading also that babies and young children can be adversely effected by the temperature of the water due to their thin skin. Thank goodness for your Mom's quick reaction! Glad you were able to relax though and talk about upcoming trips as well as this one & past. Yay, for Making memories!

Thank you :goodvibes I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, especially with only having a point and shoot camera. I probably could have taken hundreds more photos though, it is so beautiful! It really was scary with the little girl, but at least it ended up okay. And it was great to just sit and talk about memories, old and new!

That is one of my pet peeves about the hot tubs as well. It's a good thing your mom was there!

Loving your TR so far and subbing in!

I agree with you, no pictures will ever come close to being as awesome as the Osborne Lights are in person... but we always still have to take a lot! Hahah! Your pictures are great though! I love the little dalmatian statue (?), too cute!

Wow, I honestly can't believe that mom let her daughter do that. Thank God for your mom! Goodness gracious.

I've seen the Osborne lights twice in my lifetime, but My God, they are just so beautiful and you did such a good job capturing them on camera. I cannot believe that little girl in the hot tub. Note to that parent: kids aren't supposed to swim in the hot tub! Grrrrr!!! :furious:

As, love the pictures with Santa Goofy. How cute!

Wow, the all the lights look so neat. I can't wait to see them in person some day!

Thank you :goodvibes I was missing my pup so I had to take a picture of that cute little dog!

Thank you :goodvibes They really are beautiful, I want to go again to show DH and spend more time there.

Thanks :goodvibes I was happy with how our Santa Goofy pictures turned out. You should definitely go and see the lights, there is nothing like it!

Love the Osborne Lights...so pretty and magical!! :goodvibes

How scary about the little girl in the hot tub!!! That is definitely not a place that she should have been!!! :scared1:

Beautiful Osborne light pictures. I'm so happy we finally saw them and can't wait to see them again this December.

I am so glad your mom was there to help that little girl. I've never understood why parents allow little kids to be in the hot tub (we never let our kids do this until they were at least 13). It's dangerous in so many regards.

Glad you all relaxed and enjoyed your time there.

They are wonderful, aren't they?!

Thank you :goodvibes I'm glad that we saw them as well, and now I really want to take DH to show him. If not this year, I'm sure another year we will get there. It really is dangerous in many ways, but I'm glad that things ended up okay.

What a nice afternoon and evening! Relaxing by a deserted pool with a book, Osborne lights and the hot tub. Sounds like perfection to me other then a meh dinner and a serious scare with that little girl.

3 in a hot tub? That is so dangerous. Sometimes I think they go overboard on the age restrictions on those but under 5 should never be in and over that a parent is supposed to be with them, which I guess she was, but not watching a too young child who can't swim? I do not understand that at all. We had a similar scare at AKL this summer. People, if your kids can't swim, put them in a vest or floaties. Not that hard.

Poor Eric, we made him wear a vest until he was probably 10 or not allowed in past his knees.

I'll admit to being lax about time limits these days and should probably reinforce that a little but even an adult shouldn't be in longer than a certain amount of time.

You are getting me seriously excited to see those lights. Now I just have to be patient for 11 months and actually get the villa I want. I wonder if Santa Goofy is out after the 25th? Sniff.

It was a pretty great day! 11 more months will fly by and then you will be able to see the lights! I'm not sure about Santa Goofy being out after the 25th, sorry, I'm no help!

I agree that they have guidelines for a reason. If you are going to let your too young child be in there, you should be in there with her, or at the very least have some floaties on her. I don't know what would have happened if we weren't close and my mom didn't see her.

Lovely Atmospheric photo of ToT... love the fogginess... so perfect...

I think that the Animation Academy is one of the best things at the Studios and I'm so glad you were able to convince your family to try it along with you... they seemed happy they did...:goodvibes

Gorgeous photos of the Osborne Lights... I agree you need to be there but those are quite amazing...:thumbsup2

Photo with Santa Goofy...Too cute...::yes::

Thank you :goodvibes I agree with you about the Animation Academy. I tried it on my honeymoon and since then, I've gotten just about everyone else in the family to try it lol

I wanted to put this in a separate post because I wanted to mention it but I forgot to when I was actually writing the MK posts.

But on that MK day, we saw PUSH! Of all of the times I've gone to WDW, I've never seen push (that I can remember :rotfl2:)

He was so cute playing around with kids, played a couple of music clips, and then he joked around with this one girl for a couple of minutes and she was laughing so hard! It was really wonderful to see!

So if you ever see Push, stop and enjoy for a moment!

I'm doing this quick update in another colour because it isn't trip related, but I just wanted to share!

I collect Disney DVD's, and signed up for Disney Movie Rewards. I was signed up a while ago, but kept having problems with the site and codes so I sort of just gave up on it.

A couple of weeks ago, I was putting away some new DVD's from Christmas and I saw that they had magic codes in them, so I thought that I would give it a try again.

I entered all of the codes for all of my movies (which took a while, since you are only allowed 10 entries per day). Some of the codes weren't usable anymore, but I ended up about 4000 points or so that worked! Woo hoo!

I ordered the Alice in Wonderland DVD with Johnny Depp - DH and I both want to see it, so I figured that was a good use of some points, and it was pretty cheap.

I also ordered this
DMR_zpsa70e5979.jpg

It came yesterday (definitely didn't take 6-8 weeks like they said) and it is so cute!! The pages inside are all blank, not lined. I'm not sure what I'll use it for yet, but it is adorable and I'm glad I went on and logged my points!

And now, back to our regularly scheduled TR :)
