A Quick Holiday Miracle - An All Girls Trip - Dec/12 *REVIEWS finally up! 03/30*

I'll admit - I'm skipping around a bit, but wanted to add that your pictures of CSR in the daytime as so lovely. They are really helping me out with the winter blues right now. Those gorgeous skies and big puffy white clouds.

First of all, I'm not really sure why I am not subbed to your TR. Big oversight on my part.

Second, this is my favorite spot in the park and this is a perfect picture of it.

Your dog is adorable.

Your room at CSR looks great. Love the night time shots that you posted.

How great that you got a girl's trip. So fun. I'm only on your second day, so I hope it warms up. I know we had a few cold days when we went last December, but we also had some swimming weather.

The Christmas decorations are all so pretty.

Thank you for reading! There are so many great reports, it is hard to keep track of ones that you've read! My dog is pretty adorable isn't she :rotfl: I hope that you enjoy the rest of the report.

Thank you! CSR really is pretty and I hear you about the winter blues - it is so grey here!

Hello everyone! I hope that someone is still out there! It has been a while, but life required me to take a little break from the boards. I said that I was going to post a few reviews, so I am finally going to do that now. If anyone has any specific questions or you want to know my view on something that I didn't review, please ask and I will be glad to give you my experience. So here we go!

Coronado Springs Resort

DSCN0345_zps24ec64b5.jpg

This trip was my first time staying at this resort, and I really enjoyed it! It is not my favourite resort and it won't be somewhere that I want to stay every trip, but I would stay there again. My mom and grandma hated the 4 bus stops, but I timed it a few times and it usually only took about 5 minutes to make the stops - which isn't a long time in the grand scheme of things.

Pros:
- The resort is beautiful
- The rooms are fresh and clean and pretty
- You can do a lot of walking around the resort
- Nice pool area
- Buffet CS
- RFID Scanners (I think that is what they are called!) were installed in the doors so you just had to tap your card. Very efficient system!

Cons:
- The resort is pretty big
- There are 4 bus stops
- Buffet CS requires a tip
- The quick service place for dinners/snacks, etc. is really small and has limited options

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

IMG_1370_zpsff351eca.jpg

I loved this party! This was also something new for me. I had done the Halloween party before, but this was my first Christmas party. I prefer the Christmas party, but that might be because I enjoy Christmas more than Halloween.

Pros:
- The crowd levels were great
- Extra special magic - snow on Main Street!!
- Cocoa and cookies were a nice treat (although I only had it once while we waited for the parade)
- Special character meets (Seven Dwarves, Winnie the Pooh characters, Scrooge, etc.)
- Parade and fireworks were both great
- They let us in early, so we had a full 9 hours of party time

Cons:
- We went to one of the later parties (December 16th) and many of the party shirts were sold out. My mom and grandma both wanted one and it was really tough to find.
- While I loved the party, I can see how some people wouldn't find enough extra perks to pay for the party ticket.

Osborne Lights

IMG_1340_zps26292ce7.jpg

Somehow, this was also my first time seeing the Osborne Lights! I can't stress enough how amazing they are. This is something that you can't experience through photos (no matter how amazing they are). It is an entire experience that you need to be there to get. There are a lot of people in one spot but most lights are up high and it is such a spectacular show that I didn't even really notice the people all around me. This is a MUST DO!

The New Fantasyland

DSCN0153_zps58db198c.jpg

Swoon! I am so in love with the new Fantasyland. I really think that Disney did a fantastic job with the expansion. They put in so many tiny details that really add to your experience. The Little Mermaid ride was down a couple of times, which was a disappointment. The crowds were also much higher in this part of the park, but that is understandable given how new it is. I can't wait to see how the whole thing comes together when it is finished!

Restaurants

1. Be Our Guest (Lunch)
DSCN0160_zps2fb91140.jpg

This place is breathtakingly beautiful! I love the system with the rose and everything ran smoothly. There was quite a line when we were there, but it moved quickly. The food was good and hot, but I didn't think that there were enough options (especially vegetarian ones)

2. Main Street Plaza (Dinner)
DSCN0361_zpsb93917c3.jpg

Great service, great location, great food! I had their vegetarian sandwich and it was amazing. Everyone in our party enjoyed the meal that they chose. It is a bit small inside though, so you might be close to other parties (depending on where your table is).

3. Hollywood and Vine (Dinner) - I loved that this restaurant had so many choices - and many great vegetarian options as well. However, this is where the good stuff ends. It wasn't very clean, our service wasn't great, and the bathroom is shared with 50's Prime Time, so there are many people trying to get into one small space. I'm not sure if we would eat here again or not.

4. Grand Floridian Cafe (Breakfast)
DSCN0083_zpsf0c207b5.jpg

This was one of my favourites from the trip. The food was hot and delicious. The service was incredible. A mistake was made with my meal and they brought me out a whole new one in less than 5 minutes. It is also a really beautiful location.

5. The Wave (Lunch)
DSCN0019_zps67dd9533.jpg

I also really enjoyed the Wave. We went here on arrival day and our flight was late, but they were still able to fit us in. It was not very busy here, which was nice. The service and the food were great. I ordered a dish that came with chicken, but they swapped the chicken for tofu for me (our server actually suggested it to me). I would definitely eat here again.

So that is all that I have for reviews. I hope that you enjoyed my report and I hope to be able to write a new one really soon. Again, if you have any questions about any of the stuff I did on this trip, I am more than willing to help.

See ya real soon!

I really enjoyed your TR and thank you for the recap/reviews! You had a number of great meals and I can't wait to try BOG this summer.

That is such a lovely picture from the Christmas party. Love it!

Thanks for the TR. Closing it with the reviews was very helpful to me. Thanks!
Hope life getting in the way was nothing bad. I look forward to your next TR!

Glad to see you back!

I am a little nervous to stay at a few of the mods just because everyone says they are SO BIG! But I guess if you're not going to the main building all that often, it wouldn't be an issue?

Great TR! It sounds like a great, quick little holiday miracle. :goodvibes Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for following along :) I find reviews helpful, so I thought that I would post some in case others felt the same way. I am hoping that I get to write another TR real soon.

I loved reading your report.

Take care and I hope to read your next one. pixiedust:

It is nice to be back - I do wish that I could do some concrete planning, but I will get there eventually.

At CSR we were in a building that was pretty close to the main building (we got our requests) so it only took us a couple of minutes to get there. And they have a bridge you can cross to get to the main pool quicker as well. I didn't find the walking to be too bad where we were, but I can see how there could be problems.

I really enjoyed reading along with your TR, and am sorry to see it come to an end!!! :goodvibes

Aw thank you :) I am hoping that there will be another report soon! I have really enjoyed reading yours too, it brings back lots of good memories about planning my own DFTW!

I really enjoyed your recap and reviews...:goodvibes

It's a really nice way to wrap up a trip report... I may have to steal the idea...;)

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your wonderful pictures. We're going at Christmas again this year, and seeing your pictures makes me want to rush through this year in some ways. :santa:

I walked around Coronado Springs again a couple of weeks ago, as Jill is staying there next week. Beautiful resort! Sorry that buffet is gone now, though. That was a great deal!

Thanks for sharing. It's so nice to be able to be 'in Disney World' every day through pictures and stories.
